looks like every other direct x 9 game for windows game--thanks to microsoft for stiffling pc gaming last 2 to 3 years. you can have an expensive pc and get more frames per second, but all you need is 30 frames for second and you will not notice a difference. console games are direct x 9, developers like to make money so they make games for dual console/pc sales (its a $ thing); therefor, most games have the same "look" because the technology is shared

Loved Dead Space 1, had it since release; got all achievements on it just recently in anticipation for this; then I got this, and half an hour in I'm already bored :( I'm gunna stick with it though as it has had such great reviews and more marketing than any other Dead Space counterparts

I have to say I didn't find the game that scary, bits like this church sequence just feel like a cliche. If the majority of the game was in almost complete darkness then I think it would be more effective. It doesn't have that WTF factor like say the Silent Hill games. There's only a handful of Necromorph variations to deal with including uber black ones and they lose their scare factor very quickly. I vote for more Necromorphs, more darkness, plus decent decent surround sound.

@HLandEM actually you should envy John Carpenter and the creator's of Alien. The creators of this game got the idea for it from the movies John Carpenter's "The Thing" and "Alien". If you think about it alot of the necromorphs resemble some of the creatures from the movie "The Thing" which is one hell of a gruesome movie!
