It probably hits at a little more than 5lbs using a more accurate scale. I've had 3 days of food in it. There's room for 5 days but I might be tempted to use a little more substantial pack for 5 days- maybe the Golite Jam, which can deal with larger weights. I carry about 1kg of food a day.

the serenity net tent has a groundsheet-you can see it on my gatewood video-you could also use a polycro sheet or a bivy bag-with this. I can fit a weeks food in the murmur-it's too big for me really-i've since bounght a pack half the size for overnighters

What do you use for ground tarp/sheet? Does the cape have one built in?
Also, how many days can u go w/ the Murmur? I wouldn't think there is much room for food, but just curious as a mariposa user. thx!
