alright, 1. you could use Birch trees (those with white trunks) for a tree farm, with out having to make some odd part roof to keep them from growing too high, cuz they only grow 5-7 wood blocks high, never any branches, great for clean fast wood gathering. and 2. because of this video, I noticed, breeding chickens with chickens, there are no roosters?

Muse, I recently had a really basic idea that makes those animal farms much easier to navigate. Simply put water sources on the entrance side, and all the animals will get pushed back to the back of the pen. It makes exit slightly harder, but the animals won't follow you out, the entrance will never be jammed with animals, and spam breeding is easier. Just an idea, seeing as you have trouble getting in and out of your animal farms sometimes. :P

@Loopyloony1 big trees are a pain in the ass to chop down. You have to find a way to get up into the top branches, then dig around in the leaves until you find ever block of wood. By comparison, you can chop down 5-10 small trees in the same time frame
