Mateus means "Gift from God", an irony given how much he made others suffer and how unfathomable his arrogance to attain power is. Mateus is one of the distinct spellings of the name Matthew, which happens to be my own name.
For me, Mateus reminds of me of something fused between the Legend of Dragoon and David Bowie. But he's still pretty damn cool, his magic is some of the best in the game.
this sounds like a good reason the emporer wants to fight chaos #1he just bloodthirsty for power so he fights him to gain ultimate power #2 he actully hates everyone in the game
@imperialguard103 a good strategy with the emperor is get high up and use red flare then fall into it and use star fall. chaos will run at you and then dodge to avoid the flare( which you are in) so he wont ever hit you then star fall hits him lol
@Jimbobob5536 works very well actually, i almost never get hit, just make sure that as star fall is falling you set up another flare(cause once star fall hits the flare used will disappear for some reason) then jump in and watch chaos act like a retard.i will try to upload a video of it(but since you cant save matches with chaos it may be difficult)

Depends on how Chaos reacts, if you're lucky, then he will indeed keep air dashing at you and dodging away because you're inside of the red flare but if you're unlucky, he'll use demon dance, condemn or scarlet rain. Although if you're high enough, Condemn won't hit you, you will have to dodge if he uses demon dance or scarlet rain then you will have to dodge.
It's a good tactic but it's not fool proof, you just need to get lucky with how Chaos reacts.
That is one of the best HP attacks in the game. Spamming that is sadly really good strategy. Otherwise Emperor kinda sux IMO. I prefer Tina and Tidus (The cheap spam characters, yes I know).

Chaos is the final boss and supposively a god and yet... he has three minions who aren't really evil and several minions that are should be his superiors.
Exdeath and Emperor for instance are both entities who's history through their respected stories indicate them to be far more evil and tyrannical than Chaos would ever become. Lord of Hell, Master of the Void which Chaos is just a part of.
This game reeks of unexplained plot holes and contradictions.
They were all out on their own. Ultimecia & the Emperor were probably the most cooperative with Chaos, simply because Chaos was in the loop with the whole plan about the crystals.
@Minotast You obviously lack intelligence, you can't even spell correctly. This game is just fine, it's not called Final Fantasy Dissidia because it's realistic. Lucky the creators even provided players with the option to fight Chaos.
you tried too hard... it easier than that to beat chaos using THE EMPEROR... XD~~~
