duffy? feargie? they can't even shine trixie's shoes. she's the real deal, i've seen her sing onstage w/ her pops when she was 9....and she inherited his soul for sure.
anstratdubh1979, you are so right...the equipment has very little to do with it. His control over dynamics in particular, is literally stunning, and he's not stepping on a pedal to do it.
@Bing1ling -- Always a treat to see Daniel play. I saw black Dub at the Troubador in Oct 2009. Fantastic.
As to the gearhead comment... I''ve seen the same. Funny thing is, while his gear changes a bit here and there... the main thing is a good guitar, his amp and his approach to the instrument. He doens't use a pick but he can get from a whisper to a scream with his thumb and fingers. Emotion flows through Daniel. That is what some seem to miss.
I love this arrangement and Trixie touches a place deep inside my soul with that voice. I can't WAIT for it to be available to buy. Awesome work, Daniel, Brian and Trixie.
It is nice, but Danny has moved so far away from what I like.... it is hard to get excited these days with his stuff....
It is like someone getting off on something but you are the only one? Maybe I am stuck and still learning to crawl but for the last few years (and in concert) Dannys music seems to be like, a train that is dieing or maybe death of a train, Dannys music train? Any how what am I listening to? Chilly Gonzales seems to work these days .... and any jazz

When I heard this song, I originally thought it was a big black lady singing.
Does anyone else hear talking or something in the background? I mean, it's kind of expected given this looks to be in a jazz club.

No one has better sound that Danny Lanois.
The Master.
I've had the pleasure of seeing him live several times. The best part is always watching the gear heads trying to figure out his setup.

Move over Duffy, Norah Jones and Fergie. Trixie's voice blows you women away.
