  • Love this theme song.

  • ...Remember how when this show started it was publicized as " taking place during the early 60s " whereas Happy Days took place during he 50s ? :-)

  • I can´t imagine Mack.. at that time already having sexual intercourse with daddy, but according to her own testimony she was.

Likewise I went to "new mamas & papas", with Mack.. featuring and I can´t imagine her performing proudly while dripping out the rest of semen her daddy poured into her vagina the nigth before. And waiting eargerly to go to bed to give again herself nude to his arms thinking that she was the baby not exactly to let him rock her to sleep, but to get impregnated

  • The original "Sex and the City," for the REST of us, lol. ;)

  • Rrrrr way, RRRRR way

  • Their jobs would now be outsourced to China now.

  • @Wellch Hahahaha, yeah!

  • @Wellch hahaha. absolutely right!

  • Chicks that hot don't work in factories or assembly lines.

  • lol!

  • 0:41 he touched her pussy! that was intentional

  • Haha now I get the Wayne's World joke!!! Sheesh it took me lets see... 1992.. almost 20 years!!!

  • When I was a kid, lie to you all not, I watched the re-runs on cable (TBS) and one particular episode featured the opening of L and S doing the usual Schlmeel, Schlmazle skit in Millwaukee, bit it was done in the day time. I've only seen this twice. Does anybody remember that opening?

  • Used to watch TV all the time, but I haven't watched much TV in the past 10 years. These were memorable, over-the-top characters with good, positive values, and very entertaining story lines--stuff you could easily watch with your kids or with your parents; and everybody could enjoy it. Man, what's happened with Hollywood.

  • Message for Hollywood: WHERE THE HELL IS GREAT TV LIKE THIS! All you writers and producers out there, watch shows like this and get some inspiration! The TV you folks put out today is pure TRASH! Will ya'll please, please, PLEASE either get yourselves fired or start thinking up some better ideas! :)

  • @TheSouthernSunshine1 That's because a lot of people are watching reality TV. I stopped watching a lot of television now. I watch TBN, TMC, AMC and Sci-Fi. Since Disney has their finger also in Cartoon Network it's garbage because they don't want any competition so people come on line to entertain. Hence the reason for the commercials during some of our favorite songs and shows.

  • 14 dislikes?? Really?? Total MORONS lol...Pepsi and Milk RULES!!! ;-D

  • Cindy Williams was HOT !

  • wow amazing, gosh brings back happy memories, loved this, tv at its very best.

  • Schlameal schlamozzel

  • me and my friend do the chant when we go to school

  • i lov dis sho an im only 12 i wish i was born in da good old days

  • the show was based on lesbian life in the early days.

  • i want a shirt with a L on it.

  • 0:42 giving her pleasure

  • i love it omg the nostalgia i loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeee it

  • By today's standard this show would be considered a Gay! Were Laverne and Shirley Lesbians with an occasional lust for Man meat?

  • That looks like sexual assault at 0:42.

  • I kinda liked that show.

  • Lavergne DeFazio...what a cool name

  • I think Cindy Williams was so cute back then.

  • I think midway through the season, the scene of the men holding umbrellas and leaving LaVerne and Shirley behind was replaced by the more familiar shot of the girls slamming the doors against each other and looking embarrassed. That's what I'm more familiar with.

  • I watched that show for the first time and I like it. I like Laverne. Shes funny :)

  • And guess what? I still ride my bike w/my bestie friend on it today, just because we can (as grandmas)! Reminds me of Laverne & Shirley always.

  • I always wanted to ride that brunette oooooooh

  • RIP. Phil Foster, and, Betty Garrett.

  • @63filmbuff That's not only true for television, but for movies and music as well. True artistry has taken a backseat to profit margins.

  • Boy oh boy, did that ever put a big ol' grin on my mug just now! I wasn't a terribly huge fan of the show, but did enjoy it enough. But the song & video just now brought on a big fat rush of nostalgia! Although for what? I don't even recall that period being such a great one for me... hmm... Oh well, a cheap/free grin is A Good Thing in my book no matter what or why, so I'll take it and be on my way, humming a happy tune. :)

  • i wonder what brewery they shot this at

  • I'm 15 years old... I love this show plus many more and I swear I was born in the wrong decade!

  • @Gleek16121 YOU WEREN'T BORN IN THE WRONG DECADE...JUST NOT BORN IN THE BEST DECADE!

  • @Gleek16121 OMG!! I feel like that ALL THE TIME!! Good call G-Dragon!!!

  • @Gleek16121 I feel the same way, and I'm 14! Also, still playing the waiting game for disco to return. My friends and I like it. :-)

  • @Gleek16121 Maybe you were born in the right generation and meant to create, act, or produce T.V. like this!

  • @poolpig Let's hope create and act. Great way to look at the situation!

  • @Gleek16121 Right on! you can do anything!

  • I love this song! I run around the house dancing with a mopp and clean whilst singing to this song :) :) :)

  • Worst fucking show ever to be put on tv.... I loved it ;)

  • Here in the UK they used to re-run this after the BBC Breakfast programme finished at 9:30. This theme tune reminds me of bunking off school.

  • i complained to youtube about the adverts and the jamming and it jammed the whole site up - what a surprise

  • Who was the artist who sang this - I saw her on American Bandstand but forgot her name.

  • @MrOrionfan Cyndi Grecco. If you want to hear the full single version of the theme, I strongly recommend buying TV Land's Greatest Theme Songs CD - I've had it for years and the full single version of the theme is fantastic. I keep hoping somebody worthwhile will remake it and release it as a single.

  • AGAIN CALL ME CRAZY,BUT I REMEMBER WHEN I WANTED TO JUST FUCK THE SHOTZ OUT OF BOTH THEM.IF YOU ARE UNDER 35,YOU PROBABLY WANT GET THE SHOTZ PART.MEANS YOU AREN'T OLD ENOUGH TO REMEMBER WHEN IT WAS ON A 1ST RUN BASES.

  • My sister and I use to pretend we were Laverne and Shirley, and we would fight over who was Shirley, because neither of us wanted to be Laverne, lol.

  • when I was a little kid, I never dreamed I would be searching for these old theme songs.

  • @latinbrother Some one said they still make schlitz beer in milwakee is that true there is an article on the moody blues in goldmine magazine they have cans of schlitz beer on their amplifiers but that was taken in the early 1970s

  • I'm 14 and I love this, LAVERNE AND SHIRLEY LIVES ON! ;W;W

  • I LOVE THIS SHIOW! I MISS IT SO MUCH! AT LEAST I GET IT ON THE HUB! TEAR :(

  • I remember this. I loved it so much. I'm 16.

    Take. That.

  • Oh wow, never seen this version before. Thanks for the upload.

  • I wish I could go back in time for like a month. I'm only 18 but those times seemed much simpler and more fun in many ways.

  • @3eyes3

That's because it's a TV show, not real life.

  • Oy vey... Laverne & Shirley, or.. how a couple of goyisher girls make schlamiels (idiots) and schlamazels (losers) of themselves for the enjoyment of the Yiddisher viewing public. ;)

  • Back in the day all pee had to be bottled.

  • @Ui2019 the beer barrels at 0:20 were CGI

  • @TheMarkc Impossible. CGI wasn't around in the 1970s.

  • @spicnspanish it was blue screen techmology

  • What were their dreams?...I must know!

  • Its been 35 years since I last heard this theme when I was a young kid living in Brooklyn......

  • @ 0:41 the guy dancing totally feels her up lol

  • @mywar84 Carmine probably wishes that was Lenny or Squiggy he was feeling up.

  • @timtaylor97044 No it doesent! Breaking Bad, The wire, the shield, community, modern family.

Modern tv is on a completely new level. just saying, you should check it out

  • @Bizzer10 For the most part, it sucks. Sure there a few good shows, but there ARE SO MANY bad shows. There's just too much crap.

  • Hey ...what are we doing? Ya we got tickets to alice cooper!

  • I really enjoy this theme song

  • i know i'm gonna sound a little strange while typing this piece but, after listening to the theme i have a tear in my eye. i've never heard a theme this inspiring ever, "make all our dreams come true", "will do it our way", "never heard the word 'impossible'", this theme got into my dream of becoming an illustrator and i'm about to finish college to get to Chicago. with Laverne and Shirley, this theme and the show itself seems to make my life a little brighter. it will do the same for many too.

  • I dont think Cindy Williams was gay ,she dated Potsie and Ritchie, and um Laverne was married too meathead,,Rob Reiner, well ill just go by that...

  • I think they were lesbos.

  • What exactly are they saying in the beginning when they are skipping and counting?

  • @myronmlawing One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. Sclemeel, schlemazel, hasenfeffer incorporated.

  • Television was 100% better back in the day. Modern Television just does not have the positive entertainment values of yesteryear.

  • @63filmbuff i fully agree with you

  • @63filmbuff agreed, the last great "wholesome" show was The Golden Girls

  • @timtaylor97044 Amen,Bro.!

  • Long live the 70's.I can remember the anticipation of tuesday night t.v. during school that day.School wasn't so bad on Tuesday's knowing that Happy Day's was on,then Laverne and Shirley then Three's Company. My parents would make me shower then make me a couple P.B.and J'S with a side of cheese curls and a big glass of milk and let me, my brother ad sister watch those shows.Life was good.Being born in 1968 was truly awesome back then.

  • Hey my Grandmother was named Laverne and her best friend from kindergarten named Shirley and she had a brother named Lenney and my Grandmother said to my mother that all she needs to do is marry a squiggy!~ Now isn't that just funny!~

  • Best singing voice theme ever. Whoever voice that is, I think her voice is absolutely encredible. You do not hear voices like this anymore. Family ties theme voices are encredible to. Theme songs today sucks compared to the 70-80's.

  • This was my show. Lol long time.

  • The sad thing is....I saw Penny Marshal recently. She's the size of a house. She's about 100 pounds heavier than when she did this show.

  • Laverne and Shirley were very different when they were first on Happy Days. Both of them were kind of slutty. When the girls got their own show, Shirley's character did a 180. Suddenly Shirley was a goody-goody who always resisted Carmine's advances. Laverne's character stayed mostly the same. I guess it was a bad idea back then to have two promiscuous characters on a sitcom.

  •  tear!

  • hey, what are we doing? we've got backstage passes to alice cooper.

  • best song to have sex to

  • i think laverne and shirley was hilarious on happy days so im actully thinking about checking this spin off but i think its somw women show but im not sure

  • @kallemick Trust me, you'll like it. I even think it was better than Happy Days!

  • @spicnspanish WRONG! Both were equally good.

  • @JesseL85719 It's just my opinion, so I can't be "WRONG."

  • LOVE this theme song

  • lol thinking of waynes world

  • I love this show.Even though it's from when my mom was a toddler,I still love it.I love the theme song too,and I make sure I watch it every night after Family Ties.

  • my mom make's me watch this with her when it come's on at night...but i don't care i like this show!

  • @timtaylor97044 Amen to that!!

  • The singer of this theme song has an awesome voice. One of the best theme songs ever.

  • Penny Marshall (Laverne) was on an episode of Mary Tyler Moore which was awesome. I love the Mary Tyler Moore show and Laverne and Shirley!

  • Wow, talk about taking me back to an "age of innocence" time period in television history. They sure don't make shows like this anymore, this was quaint, innocent, harmless, funny, and all ages appropriate. This time period in television Hollywood "got it right", they were onto something! Now Hollywood has fallen way off the to the way side in regards to what it is producing today. It seem that foul language, smut, nudity, violence and reality shows are center stage! I miss this time period.

  • "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 Schlemiel! Schlimazel! Hasenpfeffer Incorporated!"

  • love it!!!!

  • Back when the networks went to a bit of trouble to put together a great intro.

  • these were the best.....not like the stuff today

  • RIP Betty Garrett, who played Mrs. Babbish (Laverne and Shirley's landlady).

  • Happy Days spin-off. Cool show!

  • Any Wayne's World fans? :')

  • @xelentoliver hey what are we doing? ya we got tickets to Alice Cooper!

  • @mbenzsl2000 WE'RE NOT WORTHY!!!!

  • I love This Show & song:)

  • Was this show made by the same people that made "happy days" just the lettering on both of those shows looks the same.

  • @tonymontana1974 Yes. In fact, there are episodes where Henry Winkler appears as the Fonz. If I'm not mistaken, I believe Robin Williams appeared as Mork. Mork and Mindy was an offshoot of Happy Days. (It could be that Laverne and Shirley were on either Happy Days or Mork and Mindy with Robin Williams...It's been so long I can't remember which show they were on at the same time, but I'm sure they were together at some point.)

  • @brettsmommy L&S were acquaintances of Fonzie. The Fonz and Richie went on a double date with them before Richie had Lori Beth as a steady girlfriend.

  • Bring back the real feel good shows forget reality sex. bull crap fighting bimbos that make me sick wearing nothing. America went down hill. Since this show last aired!

  • they are on late night tv!! like 11

  • Great tv programming...... Takes me back to a time when my dear mother was still alive........ Thanks for posting!

  • this is my theme song!!!!=))))1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8

  • @timtaylor97044

It does, indeed! TV shows were so good in the 50s, 60s, as well as the 70s. Nowadays, we have junk, like "Desperate Housewives".

  • She got coochie grabbed at :39 seconds

  • is that Hasenfeffur Incorporated that they say?

  • @718blondie yep! XD

  • Comment removed

  • does any one know if that's ABBA singing the theme?

  • @mrdefinitlee LOL! No....it's not ABBA. It's sung by a lady named Cyndi Grecco

  • I loved how many TV shows in the 70's featured regular working stiffs from Midwest cities like Chicago, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, and Indianapolis. We now get snotty, arrogant-man pricks on TV shows from Malibu, Los Angeles, and DC.

  • @gravelandgrain100 ya i know we should be able to connect to the characters

  • What does "shemel shimizel hops in bev incorporated" mean?

  • @vinlino yea what does that mean autally ive been singing this theme song for a while and i dont rlly even know what it means...(

  • @vinlino Schlemiel-One who receives bad luck; Schlemazel-One who gives bad luck; Hassenpfeffer-Rabbit stew.

(The above is subject to corrigenda at any time).

  • @suppvee

Actually TVLand does play a brilliant sitcom in my opinion from the 90s:"Roseanne" Unlike its fellow sitcoms on ABC "Family Matters" and "Full House" this sitcom WAS possibly one of the most realistic ones aired on TV

  • @suppvee If you get The Hub Channel, it shows Laverne & Shirley, Happy Days, Family Ties and the Wonder Years.

  • @scottbaino ur right the hub shows ou fav sitcom from back in the day

  • @scottbaino so does tvland

  • @scottbaino I've fallen in love with the L&S television show not to menching Happy days, doogie howser and batman (1960) starring adam west.

  • @TheScorpionMK37 if you like adam west watch the episode of the detectives walk a crooked line with adam west in youtube a very intense drama

  • @scottbaino Thank GOD for The Hub. That is one of the best channels ever on cable.

  • @scottbaino It also shows Transformers, GI Joe, and Batman

  • @scottbaino It also shows MLP FiM, the, best!^_^

  • As i look at the playlist i realize i know everyone of these shows. I have watched them growing up. I must say, that I enjoyed every minute of them with my many siblings and with Mom & Dad for the dramas...Thx!!

  • @ :42 would be the end for any modern US man.....

  • I literally never knew Penny Marshall was Laverne before she was a director.

  • now i finnally get the waynes world joke hahaha

  • So, these are how bimbos are like in the 70's.

  • @lukchardhsl yeah laverne and shirley has more class than women today woman today has no class but then again you must be from the new generation to call them bimbos

  • just got teary eyed.. but im blasted so.........

  • 12 people fail at life.

  • @dark02pony They Do Big Time! ({:

  • Milwaukee may be ghetto as hell - I've lived here my whole life - but at least we have the Bronze Fonz! I'm Proud Laverne, and I have my own Shirley, thank you very much! :) We've known each other for two years, and we ain't going anywhere! For the record, we even sang this song once - just in Hebrew! I love you, Sarah - from your bff, Sarah!

  • Loved this show. Lenny & Squiggy were silly but soo funny.

  • Oh I loved this show!

  • what the hell is going on at 0:42???

    He totally gropes her crotch!!

  • and ill do it our way

    so fluck uyuuuuuuu

  • Rhoda was the show

  • There was a show from the 70s about a girl in new york with her sister n a door man who u never saw ,and her mum who was a little red haired woman who was very funny jewish i think ,anyone know the name of this show ? it was the womans name ?

  • @vcomp1960 It wasn't richie who saw anything in her... It was Fonzie, which I understand even less.

  • mymway

  • I watched this show as a kid in the 80s on Nickalodean and TBS; especially in the summers during the morning and afternoon. One of many 70s shows I consumed in my youth.

I don't think anything on modern television compares to this type of stuff. I wish this and a number of other shows aired more.

  • If in heaven we don't meet... hand in hand we'll bare the heat... and if it ever gets too hot... milk and pepsi hits the spot!!!!!!

  • what are we doing? we've got backstage passes to see alice cooper!

  • Laverine sure was ugly! What did Richie Cunningham see in her?

  • I never missed this show when it was on. there hasnt been a buddy show that could replace it these two women made you believe they had been life long friends

  • We're gonna do it..give us any chance we'll take it, read us any rule we'll break it, we're gonna make our dreams come true..doing it our way!! <3

  • good song and a great tv show i love it

  • love this show...so many memories....at times rolling on the floor with laughter. It was a modern day Lucy and Ethel. I Love Lucy is still my fav of all time, but this is a close second. :)

  • @alikat0908 Absolutely agree with you! Lucy and Ethel will always be best but they sure come close

  • Brings back memories from high school. The show started down hill when the "location" was moved from Milwaukee to Southern California. After that is was not the same!

  • @schs1977 that and the fact that Cindy Williams left the show.

How always thought how can you have Laverne and Shirley without

    Shirley?

  • the memories this song gives me always bring me to tears
