I am amazed how much I persisted with this game as a kid. Each stage is SOO tedious,dufficult and drawn out.

The boss music is actually a bad 16bit version of an very old song called Charlie is my Darling

This game is ..... strange..

You start from your village in some places with a lot of enemies and after, you go back at the start point. What's the meaning of this ?

I agree to have some levels with enemies before the boss, but they might be wild animals or others gaulishes, who make you think you're near a gaulish village, and not a ton of romans!!!

In French original version Cacofinix is told "Assurancetourix" (Assurance-tous-risques)

It's Cacofinix in english? I never looked at that, but here in dutch it's Assurancetourix as well. That's what I always read in the comics :)

Heh. Cacofinix was always my favorite character! :-) Shame this comic wasn't popular over here...if my dad hadn't been from britan, I would have never known about Asterix :-O

You have to climb atop one peasant carrying another peasant in order to throw bombs at a bard who's playing bad music?
