my stock slash with 5000 nimh goes faster than that and could clear those jumps easy.Wish i was near that bmx track though id take my bike and my slash.
Thanks, I would like to try out a different battery to, I was thinking maybe a lipo but they are a little expensive then you have to buy all the charging equipment to.
get a duratrax onyx 230 charger and a racers edge, tenergy, or maxamps 2 cell, lots of power and still pretty controlable, 3 cell makes ALOT MORE POWER
i tried to ride on the one where i live and i got caught and had to work all day long in the middle of the summer with the scorching hoty sun beating down on my face
ok so after all the bad comments about the song (which I just threw on there so it had music) Ive put a new song on it, so no more comments about the freaking song!
Yeah if I went back there now Id probably be overshooting every jump on that track. Theyre not all that big but I was just babying the truck because it was new
i was wondering if i shiould get the sidewinder or themore expensive one, the one thats not as expensive as the monster but a little more than the sidewinder. will the other one give me longer runtimes with less heat? or will the sidewinder, i am going to run a 4600. the sidewinder is $70 and the other one is like $125. but i have the motor and it will take so much longer to get 125 than 70 and i just want to play with my dads vxl and my slash with a bl and try and beat him. thank you.
Thanks. I would recomend the 4600, I have heard the 5700 has more power than the slash needs. Durring the summer it gets arround 180 and about this time of the year it is alot cooler than that. A safe motor temp is anything under 200.
dont know where you get your info but for brushless its 160 or the motor will die fast, brushless magnets are way sensitive compared to brushes which is about 180 to 190
Thanks, It is a good track. That was the only time I ever went there in three years of living in that town. Ive heard the 5700 is a bit wild for the slash. I like the 4600 its just right. In this video im using a 7 cell ni-mh. I would really like to throw a li-po in and see what she can really do, but I cant afford that right now. Thanks for the rating really appriciate it!
nice! that looks like an awesome place to drive! im putting a sidwinder 4600 in my slash too, i did have the 5700 in it, but now thats in that bandit u seen, i got a 3s lipo ready for the slash w/sidewinder 4600! awesome video, 5*
With the stock electronics it got about 30 minutes on a 7 cell, now I get about 15 to 20. I think the brushless realy wears out your batterys because when I first installed it it was still around 30.
The motor is straight in with the two stock screws but you will have to solder the traxxas connectors on and build some small brackets for the esc. It takes a little bit of work but its worth it.
Thanks, The run time is actually less with the brushless set up. Not much though I get about 25 minuets out of a 7 cell, where I got just under 30 with the stock set up.
change the SHITTY music

It says right in the users manual 200.
digerfilms 3 years ago
yea hes right. 200.
I think the VXL 3500kv system on a MM ESC and a 3S lipo is a good combo, the temps should be ok to.

hey does the brushless system slip right in to the stock mounting. easy install or ARGH! install?
WKmonstermutt 3 years ago
No, to install the brushless you just use the stock ones.
digerfilms 3 years ago
do you need longer motor screws for the motor on the slash?

that was preaty kool

Nice video! With the brushless motor you have, how much better is the run-time compared with a similar brushed motor?
