  • change the SHITTY music

  • i got an onyx 200 charger and a 8000 mah 7.4v 2s 25c lipollmer battery in my slash 4x4 and it has so much power and speed its crazy!! i recommend it!!

  • should i get the vxl or the castle creations sidewinder 4600? its about the same price if i trade in my titan 12t

  • my stock slash with 5000 nimh goes faster than that and could clear those jumps easy.Wish i was near that bmx track though id take my bike and my slash.

  • audio track sucks!

  • Yeah it used to be bodies but a bunch of people bitched and complained about it so i changed it

  • punch it u sissy what u got a 1600 mah in that car what the hell

  • @eastside4486 Yeah. cuz its the mah that decides the punch >_< Gesh.

  • you not pushing it

  • Thanks, I would like to try out a different battery to, I was thinking maybe a lipo but they are a little expensive then you have to buy all the charging equipment to.

  • get an eflight balancer for 20 bucks well worth the money trust me

  • get a duratrax onyx 230 charger and a racers edge, tenergy, or maxamps 2 cell, lots of power and still pretty controlable, 3 cell makes ALOT MORE POWER

  • awsome video. i have the same system on mine but i use an 8 cell and its crazy. planning to put 12 cells in it to see how fast it goes.

  • ha, i dont think they would have let me if they caught me, i just went at night when nobody was there

  • damn youre lucky

you can use your bmx track for that stuff

i tried to ride on the one where i live and i got caught and had to work all day long in the middle of the summer with the scorching hoty sun beating down on my face

    it was ass

  • ok so after all the bad comments about the song (which I just threw on there so it had music) Ive put a new song on it, so no more comments about the freaking song!

  • Muted!

  • if i hear this song again, i'm going to lose my freakin mind!!!

  • I agree. Fuck off with the bodies song already. People just don't have any original thoughts to save their lives.

  • yeah its a pretty awesome truck

  • ive realized that the slash always handles the jumps so well on almost any track out there.

  • Thanks

  • very cool man

  • Bodies by Drowning pool

  • its sinner not bodies

  • whats the song ....

  • slammin the landers is not babying it lol

  • Yeah if I went back there now Id probably be overshooting every jump on that track. Theyre not all that big but I was just babying the truck because it was new

  • you sould try to gap aa tripple but if not wnoug speed just some doubles

  • i was wondering if i shiould get the sidewinder or themore expensive one, the one thats not as expensive as the monster but a little more than the sidewinder. will the other one give me longer runtimes with less heat? or will the sidewinder, i am going to run a 4600. the sidewinder is $70 and the other one is like $125. but i have the motor and it will take so much longer to get 125 than 70 and i just want to play with my dads vxl and my slash with a bl and try and beat him. thank you.

  • what site r u lokking at?

  • Goto rcplanet*DOT*com

and search Castle Creations Mamba Max 1/10th Scale Brushed/Brushless ESC

and it will be the first one.

  • ok thanks

  • I know the truck was practically new when this vid was made so I kind of babied it. but now if I went back I would be overshooting those jumps!

  • come on man you got all that power USE IT!

  • It says right in the users manual 200.

  • yea hes right. 200.

I think the VXL 3500kv system on a MM ESC and a 3S lipo is a good combo, the temps should be ok to.

  • Thanks. I would recomend the 4600, I have heard the 5700 has more power than the slash needs. Durring the summer it gets arround 180 and about this time of the year it is alot cooler than that. A safe motor temp is anything under 200.

  • dont know where you get your info but for brushless its 160 or the motor will die fast, brushless magnets are way sensitive compared to brushes which is about 180 to 190

  • cool vid!! i am looking at eather this motor of the 5700 but i was wonderig what is your motor temps like??

  • Thanks, It is a good track. That was the only time I ever went there in three years of living in that town. Ive heard the 5700 is a bit wild for the slash. I like the 4600 its just right. In this video im using a 7 cell ni-mh. I would really like to throw a li-po in and see what she can really do, but I cant afford that right now. Thanks for the rating really appriciate it!

  • no problem, im really curious to see what my slash is gonna do with the 4600 on 3s li-po. maybe wheelie.

  • nice! that looks like an awesome place to drive! im putting a sidwinder 4600 in my slash too, i did have the 5700 in it, but now thats in that bandit u seen, i got a 3s lipo ready for the slash w/sidewinder 4600! awesome video, 5*

  • I know that was the first few laps. I was clearing all of the jumps by the time I left.

  • Come on, my stock slash clears those jumps at the end easily :P

  • With the stock electronics it got about 30 minutes on a 7 cell, now I get about 15 to 20. I think the brushless realy wears out your batterys because when I first installed it it was still around 30.

  • how long is run time?

  • Thanks dirtox. Your right It is 18.

  • hi, Im using the stock gearing (16 tooth pinion and 86 tooth spur). Its very fast, On flat pavement it hits about 55.

  • stock is 18t

  • What gearing are you using with this setup?

    Looks plenty fast

    Jim

  • The motor is straight in with the two stock screws but you will have to solder the traxxas connectors on and build some small brackets for the esc. It takes a little bit of work but its worth it.

  • hey does the brushless system slip right in to the stock mounting. easy install or ARGH! install?

  • No, to install the brushless you just use the stock ones.

  • do you need longer motor screws for the motor on the slash?

  • that was preaty kool

  • Thanks, The run time is actually less with the brushless set up. Not much though I get about 25 minuets out of a 7 cell, where I got just under 30 with the stock set up.

  • Nice video! With the brushless motor you have, how much better is the run-time compared with a similar brushed motor?
