I always ask myself how you can give birth laying on your back?????? and why most hospitals want you to lay like that in this unnatural and not helping position?
I had 2 children so far and once I had to lay on my back for just one contraction and it was hell!!! Never ever again...I had both naturally in the tub by the way and it was not so painful just that one time on the back was hell
what the hell does the midwife do??? A horrible woman!! and also the long tube? Not a birth, that I would like to have :-( And how does the mother open her legs, if she find out in such a stupid situation?
i hav given birth to 3 healthy gals. my last 1, i nearly kick the nurses face when she hit my thigh m tol me to open. i did tell her to fuck off though. and the doc who is deliverin the bb dosent seem to knw wat his doin.
i dont like the way they suction the baby... thats not the proper way...and besides, there is already new updates regarding the immediate priority on newborns,
@kismutt1 I am not a doctor but I am training to be a midwife and the Episiotomy was done to speed birth up for the doctor.... in most case a woman does not need this procedure unless the use of forceps are needed or the doctor can clearly see while crowning is happening that the perineum will not tolerate the stretching otherwise slow steady pushing in the crowning period will stretch everything nicely
@fuzzypeach5 Exactly, an Episiotomy is done if the perineum is going to rip....could you see this in the video?? No. But the doctor could, which is why he did it. How can you say it was to speed up the delivery when you can't SEE what is happening?? You are making assumptions. And, I have 2 grown sons. I would NOT let a midwife deliver my babies. I have seen the aftermath of too many delivers in the emergency room from unskilled hands of Midwives.
@kismutt1 How can you possibly know if the perineum is going to rip? If you stretch a piece of material and then cut it it will rip further, which is what happens with episiotomys all the time. That problem is men trying to help women give birth. Thy should not even be in the room.
@Imogen1885 Oh thats intelligent! You would trust someone with very little education over someone who has over 10 years of med school under there belt. Makes sense!
@kismutt1 My midwives had delivered hundreds of babies. They had about thirty years of experience between them. Yes! I would trust them a million times over some man who delivered a baby here and there and will never give birth himself. Duh!!!!
@Imogen1885 They have delived hundreds of babies? Medical doctors deliver tens of thousands of babies and are 100 times more expereinced than any midwife. Let me ask you this? Why do over 95% of women in the US and Canada go to the hospital rather than do a home birth with a midwife? They go to hospitals because they want safety. Less than 5% of the women deliver at home with a midwife. Are you saying that 95% of women are stupid? YOU are in that 5% that are stupid.
@kismutt1 95 per cent are brain washed. Most individual doctors deliver a few babies each year. You are absolutely wrong. You do not know what you are talking about.
@Imogen1885 No, 95% are intelligent people. Sorry, but you are in the 5% of women that do homebirths. Check your facts. Answer this question? Why is it that midwives/VBACS are all over youtube trying to drum up clients? Doctors have no need to try and drum up clients! 95% of women CHOOSE to go to a hospital for a reason. How many doctors do you see on youtube trying to convice women to come to the hospital? None. They don't have to :)
@kismutt1 Doctors and hospitals have the monoply because women have been brainwashed into thinking that hospital births are safe when in fact they are far more dangerous that homebirth. You need to do some fact checking. What's your dog in this fight anyway? All I want is for women to see sense and have great births like I did.
@Imogen1885 Thanks for your kind words... I myself am a mother and have given birth to both of my children with midwives and I completely trust them... I became a doula after the birth of my son and I am now training to be a nurse midwife so I will have hospital privileges as well as taking home births... Many women choose to have their babies in hospital and many choose at home it is where each woman feels the safest and most comfortable...
@qblazer thats an extremely offensive thing to say, "your not a woman" until you give experience childbirth. as a woman who may never have children, whomever says that to me in my face will regret making that comment.
@qblazer Birth pain is needed to feel like a woman? This is crap. It may have its reasons but statements like this are kind of offensive like Mikel said.
