My dog sarge was that big when he was 4-5 months but my other one Dutch still looks like hes 3 months old lol They say that if they grow slower they are less likely to have joint problems. Dutch is 50-60 pounds though and he doesn't look it.

@SuperDido1983 I'm not an expert, but I am estatic about getting a GSD. From what I researched, hip dysplasia could set in when a dog is older around 8-10 years old. Your young dog should be fine for a while. Some signs of hip dysplasia that I know of is if the dog's rear legs look like they are dragging and the dog has a really hard time jumping.

Great looking GSD! I love the way he is alert when he is told go at about 1minute 30 seconds. Very aloof but alert, good quality. He will be a great dog, and if his joints look right in a couple of years, definitely a good studable dog.

they are more up now, but, they are still a bit floppy, I'll fixate his ears with tape, my vet said me to do that and that should be fine ... :D ... I hope everything's gonna be ok ... His dinner is 1/2 liter of milk every evening, and he is taking tablets with minerals that he needs ... :D

We have to remember that one "human" year is equivilant to 7 years. 1/365=x/7 therefore 1=52 days roughly. In five months lets make it 30 days. 30 days x 5 = 150. 150 human days would be then 150 x 52 = 7,800. So the dog has lived 7,800 days, so I assume he would be at proper size. Then again, I'm not a breeder.

@iluvanimexanimals Hahaha that's funny! he had a bad experience with our cat when he was a puppy. Still has a very small scar on his nose from him. From that day on, cats are like a switch for him. When you say something like: Kitty, that ss-sss-ss thing (:P), say here kitty kitty, or make a meow sound he goes frantic looking for cats. He's made the mistakes of thinking a skunk was a cat...twice. haha
