I'm a vet but I can't help but be pissed off at Anheiser Busch for spending millions of dollars every year on gun control legislation and making the WORST beer in the world and expecting these commercials to sway real Americans to think that they are OK.
Im a Army vet and the way Budweiser made this commercial is not the way it happens it real life ive been around the worlds airports to include many us airports and we never recieve this kind of raction but thank you Budweiser for making this letting us know you care..

This is a joke. No one should ever applaud for these awful people that voluntarily entered themselves into a program that is around for the sole purpose of "defending our country," and by that I mean killing innocent people. The army is a complete joke. America spends too much on such a terrible thing and not enough on education, the environment, etc. I am disappointed in every single one of the people that liked this.

At that time there wasnt anywhere we couldn't go that you would get saluted, Thanked, Applaud, I went through Atlanta Airport and everyone stood up Clapping i was about to cry. Now it dont happen that much. People seem to think were not at war or we havnt fought in a horrible desert for 13 months at a time.
This video put a tear in my eye, it's a damn site better seeing the welcoming these heros are getting than veterns of Vietnam got, coming home there would be people at the gate and spit on and cuss at, i'm happy to see our veterns get a warm heartfelt welcome nowadays. Just awesome. And I do so wish our troops from Vietnam had received this kind of welcome all of the time too. I am from the era and just cried when I saw some of the things that our heroes from the Vietnam War were greeted with. But, I guess all we can do now is make sure they know we appreciate them all and make damn sure it never ever happens again!!

This may sound petty, but where are their flags? US troops in (or on leave from) battle wear reverse American flags on their uniforms (stars in the upper right corner). That flag is pretty cool.
This has happened to me, twice, returning from overseas. Both times, it left me feeling very humbled and grateful to not have to return to the homecoming the Vietnam vets did.
I love the commercial , but if they wanted it to be more realistic they should have gotten permission to use the combat patches and had service and name tabs, of course being a soldier myself i notice that stuff and it drives me crazy when its not their.

They don't mention Budweiser ONCE in this entire commercial. The end says Anheuser-Busch, not Budweiser. This is not an ad to sell beer, its an ad to thank those serving our country from the people at Anheuser-Busch.

No matter what you think about the war, these folks serve our country and they deserve our support in every way, at every time. This commercial gets me, because these soldiers unconditionally risk their lives and go through hell for everyone in America, no matter who they are or what they believe in. These individuals care about nothing but helping others and representing their country. These folks deserve our unconditional support and admiration.

As a soldier, I experienced this in the Atlanta International Airport. It meant a lot to me. I remember every single thank you and applause I've received.
Always have to have a tissue handy when I see this. However many dozen times it's been. And can't help but applaud myself, simply from a heart full of gratitude for our Finest. Our Military Men & Women. SALUTE!!!!!!

This commercial kills me. Not because its bad (its great), but because it reminds me off all the travels i've made alone to scary places. I hated going through airports, because i was always sad. But also all the "Thank you"s, and how much that means to me. It is a big sacrafice, a HUGE sacrafice, but coming home to see this, makes every last SECOND of it, worth it. Thank YOU, guys.
My dad is a Marine who served in Vietnam. Most of the vets from that time did not get a proper welcome home. lets make sure this never ever happens again.ALL of our troops and vets deserve the upmost respect.

Just awesome. And I do so wish our troops from Vietnam had received this kind of welcome all of the time too. I am from the era and just cried when I saw some of the things that our heroes from the Vietnam War were greeted with. But, I guess all we can do now is make sure they know we appreciate them all and make damn sure it never ever happens again!!

We volunteered. Each of us had our own reason for putting ourselves in harm's way in the service of our country, and for you to throw some party line blanket statement over all of this shows that you are simply quoting the party line, and that you have NO CLUE what drives us to serve. This commercial kills me. Not because its bad (its great), but because it reminds me off all the travels i've made alone to scary places. I hated going through airports, because i was always sad. But also all the "Thank you"s, and how much that means to me. It is a big sacrafice, a HUGE sacrafice, but coming home to see this, makes every last SECOND of it, worth it. Thank YOU, guys.

Sure is a lot nicer than certain members of the Senate treated our troops after Vietnam, what with throwing his medals or ribbons or whatever he finally decided away, and accusing them of attacking women and children, and air-raiding villages. (No, wait, the last was certain current presidents.)

I lived in the UK for 2 years , and what amazed me was to see that Muslims piss on the Goverment.
I'm not European , born in the US but raised in South Africa.
I'm currently in Germany but everyone is so affraid of hurting people's feelings. THE LAW SHOULD SUPPORT IT'S OWN PEOPLE FIRST, SAME IN GERMANY !

The law in the UK DOES support it's own people first. The UK army also goes into foreign countries even when they haven't attacked them or started a war, which is just absolutely disgusting. Why are they in their country? Everyone knows the answer.

@BentleyGadget Amen to that. I'm a liberal who is the granddaughter of a US Navy captain who served honorably in WWII and Korea. My grandmother also served in WWII; she was a 1st sgt in the Women's Army Corps. 2 of my uncles served in the Army and 1 was USMC. My fiance is an Army veteran. I have HUGE respect for our military. Always have, always always will. God bless them all.

@chalicechiq Your grandmother served? Wow! I'll bet she has some stories to tell. One of my grandmothers moved to the West Coast to work for the war effort and I've always regretted not asking her about what it was like back then.
