I have watched this funniest Mel Brooks Movie over and over and Never, Ever have I considered how they got under the coffin! Thank U TheSopheh for pointing that out ! I do know in the begining of Young Frankenstein the clock chimes 13 times and not 12 just before they open Frankensteins Grandfather's coffin to get the will out.

Was working AOA gate guard duty at D/FW Airport about 20 years ago - they were constructing new taxiways there. Really humid, hot day. Storm-clouds rolling in, breeze picking up. A supervisor walks out to the gate to talk with one of the drivers. He's all covered in dirt. After he's done he turns to me and off-handedly said, "Pretty dirty job, ain't it?"

I didn't miss a beat, "Could be worse!"

Not sure if it was the circumstances that made it good, but would also highly recommend "Blazing Saddles" and "The Producers" (Original) of Mel Brooks They are pretty funny also. Gene Wilder also stars in "Blazing Saddles".

This is Mel Brooks best movie. I first saw it in the theater when I was 14. A buddy and I snuck into the show and laughed out loud thru the whole movie. I have it on DVD and I still laugh when I see it.
