  • Without God: Super advanced (futuristic). Minds would be more open. A higher importance would be placed on science and technology. With no afterlife, people would make this life as good as possible, so there would be more recreation and acceptance. There would still be crime and war, but less of it.

With God: Super primitive. Everyday would be all about kissing God's ass. You're whole life would revolve around Him. Everyone would be a slave. There would be no reason to progress as a species.

  • 1) I agree, a world with no god at all would be the same as this one. However a world where we all knew there was not a god would be so much more peaceful and more pleasant to live in. Indeed, it could be said that heaven could exist without god as we would be in it.

    2) A world where god was proved would be just like it says in the bible/qu'ran/torah or whatever others there are. And, of course, thereore opressessive, violent and like you said, slavery. But with an eternity of heaven later.

  • Q1: I dont think that world is in the near future yet. There are countless new religions reinventing god all the time.

Q2: Visions of society reverting backwards, oppression of thought, science & Education being ripped apart & re written. Church control over every part of life,as Government & state will disappear as we know it. Backstreet abortions, execution of homosexuals & anyone perceived heretic by the ruling Church. I could go on. . .

  • I believe you wouldn't find either of the options any different from the other. We can't live two lives, and because we as humans define our happiness through unhappiness, you would feel exactly the same in one reality as you would the other, even if one was completely filled with rape and torture and the other love and care. This is also why I believe heaven and hell would be exactly the same if they actually existed, given enough time.

  • Interesting perspective, I don't agree, but that's deep. I do think these worlds represent opposing world-views/philosophies, but they might converge. But come on, a Biblical universe would be vastly different than the one we observe! I think :-)

  • Most of America already thinks we are in a Biblical universe. Anyways, the laws of our reality only seem normal because we've lived with them. There really is no reason for most of the shit around us to be happening, it's just what scientists have observed to be consistent reocurrences. If there existed a realily with ridiculously different laws of nature than ours, and there were humans in said reality, they would adapt, and think nothing of it. Just as humans would if God actually existed.

  • Ain't life beautiful ;-)

  • I invision a future world of perfectly naked physically fit humans of a nomadic nature who have reduced their culture operating system to a computerized internet menu screen that can be accessed at will when they close their eyes. There will be no god other than the worship of the universe in and of itself. We already live in a world of bibical truth .With male dominated culture of homophobia ,intolerance, and violence with christianity as the main religion of 2.1billion of the earth's inhabitants.
