Very cool. Only thing is it went by a bit fast when you talked about adding the score. I was confused because you said you added the score to the player, but it counts the score when the ball hits the walls (not when it hits the player).

Computer programming is development of a series of instructions for the computer to follow.

You still have to do this with MMF2 or TGF2.

You don't have to write code but you still have to put in the logic.

this is programming. learn what word programming means. the way you program the application like in MMF is called a designer friendly aproach. that means, that you still need to understand the basic workflow and logic of a machine language so you could understand what you are doing.

You need to make a "Game over" thing, and a "play button," also the score needs to start over when the ball goes past the...dude. :P

This is great but i was wondering if you knew how to make more levels? I followed the tutorial to make the first level, title screen, and highscores table with lives, score and everything, but i can't for the life of me figure out how to get a new working level. I also don't know how to program the muffin thingers (grow, shrink, fireball). I'm new to this and really want to make a bigger game out of this. Thanks

me too ... i started with game maker 7.0 ... and then the 3d game maker , fps creator , and fps creator x10 (directX 10) and now i'm using unity 3d

One could also add barriers so that the ball doesnt disappear when getting out of the game's frame. Sound effects, lives etc are also nice, but still this still a very good beginner's guide, with plenty of room for extras.
