Part 2) Country Music and Bluegrass Music back in the days wasn't all about the money as it is today. You HAD to have a special LOVE and APPRECIATION for the genre. Today's Country Singers (MOST but NOT all) care all about the fame and the money. They may be entertainers today but they were singers back in the days.

Recently I got into Bluegrass Music and I have to say that Grandpa Jones easily became my FAVORITE Bluegrass SInger! I LOVE his hyperness, enthusiasm, and it's clear to see his LOVE for the genre.

I once had the original 78 carbon record about 1946. Those records didn't last long around me. I also later got the sequel "I'm on my way Somewhere" Bet a lot of people forgot that one!!!

There will never be another Grandpa Jones. He's one of the great characters of all time - I love this song by him. I live 80 miles from Louisville myself. We faithfully watched Hee Haw and looked forward to seeing him and hearing him sing and pick. Thank you for this memory here. - Paula
