Folks, 787 has the most advanced cockpit system, the most fuel efficient, most environmentally friendly, most lightest & yet strongest composite material composed of, most quietest, best cabin air pressure/ air purification system, and most comfortable ride for passengers in any plane ever built so far. [with love from SanFrancisco]
It cost Airbus $12 billion to design A380. It cost Boeing $4 Billion to design 747-8. In spite of the money spent the 747-8 still ends up being more efficient in both passenger and cargo. There have been 50 orders for 747-8 Freighters in the past year while there have only been 10 for the A380 Freighter
Airbus has 236 orders for the A380 and have delivered 54 aircraft as of August 31st 2011 ( And they are all 20 tons over the predicted empty weight Airbus first told customers it would weigh. BOACMach2 and Whiteria have both told us they have sold alot more but hey people will go with what Airbus says. Now that I am invilved in this I know they will get mad and either attack me personally or Boeing because I called them on this
@prohelipilot1 BOACMac2 and his Gay Lover Whiteria cannot accept the fact that the A380 has to sell 500 to break even and with 53 built and their production of two A380s per-month it will be 2025 before the break even. In 4 more years the A380 will be obsolete and I predict that the A380 will be cancelled in 2 to 5 years because the A380 is a 16 Billion Euro-Debt concrete weight around Airbuses neck. The A380 is financial rathole and eventually Airbus will get tired of wasting money on shit!
@LottoWinner999 You are right more than once Airbus execs have said the plane is a mistake and if they had to do it over they would leave it at the drawing board, The plane is not going to even come close to breaking even and that will require another government bailout
With fewer seats and planes not full, journeys on the A380 will actually produce more carbon dioxide (per passenger, per km) than Ryanair or EasyJet flights, which fly fuller. When operating at 80 per cent capacity, a Singapore Airlines A380 will produce about 101g of CO2 emissions. Emirates and Qantas A380s will produce 106g and 109g respectively in their smaller configurations. This compares with an average of 97.5g for EasyJet and 98.6g for Ryanair
@prohelipilot1 What a blindingly obvious but equally pointless comment to make..lol! Of course a small, twin-engined charter airliner making journeys of 2-4hrs with passengers packed in like sardines is going to be “more efficient” & emit less CO2 than a luxury 4 engined liner travelling across the globe & where the focus is on comfort, space and maximizing the return on business & 1st class. That is a reflection on the airlines' competition with each other, not the airliner itself Get serious!
@LottoWinner999 ... from different locations. When they brought all the parts to Boeing's assembly line in Seattle, THE PARTS DIDN'T FIT! There's Boeing's expertise for you.
Airbus made surprise announcement that delivery of the A380 would be delayed half a year. A six-month delay had been announced last year. The project has taken a nosedive. Instead of 20 to 25 planed, the company will roll 9 machines out of the assembly hall in Toulouse, France, next year. In 2008 and 2009 there will be a shortfall of14 jets. The company will have to pay millions in damages for the delays up to €2 billion. Cancellations by angry customers are factored in.
@whitireia Baldrick (aka LottoLoser) has got nothing left, a spent force and Number 1 Boeing bum. He just can't face the reality that Boeing are losing year on year in terms of sales to Airbus. Their "cash cow", the vintage 737 has been trashed by the A320neo which as we know has racked up more sales in 9 months than the 787 has in 7years. The 7late7 already has more problems. The guy's e serial liar and welfare waster, we all know that. Even his own countrymen shun and laugh at the asshole.
@whitireia Funniest of all was Balbrick's quote that "Hell will freeze over before AA buys Airbus again!" Broke Boeing were lucky to come away from that deal with anything at all. They expected to walk in and get the order no problem. According to press reports, their inept sales team were scurrying around at the end in an attempt to salvage some orders from AA. Quite rightly, they were given the scraps and relegated to 2nd place behind Airbus's 260 firm order plus options. Boeing are in decline
@gadgetdude38 BOACMach2 is one foul human being, supposedly that jerks off 24/7. That makes him a pervert yet he's unbelievably juvenile and full of hatred for anything Boeing. This imbecile is a serial liar who has been caught out frequently. On one video he says he's Drag Stewardess, on another he says he is a pilot in the RAF . Everyone laughs their asses off at the fool, with his pre-prepared stock of nonsense. He knows nothing about aviation & is regularly trashed all over YT
BTWI why don't U AB-Freaks don't talk about fab A380-WE (White Elephant) any longer? Have U finally resigned yourself to the fact that the A380-WE is going to TITS UP? Airbus is right back were is started, building cheap planes with American jet engines!!! Oh + don't forget Jazeera Airways Kuwait Airways cancelled low-cost orders for 25 A320s and Dubai Aerospace Enterprise orders for 18 A320s and 12 A350-SDL (Super Delay Liner) in February. Losing 12 A350-SDLs ts,tsk!
@LottoWinner999 Thats right, change the subject when you're losing! Typical loser Lottie. Hear this Dan, the A380's are doing just fine and are now back on schedule. Korean Air just got their 2nd A380 6weeks after their 1st. China Southern will be receiving their 1st of 5 in the next few weeks. Not withstanding the 20 Emirates now have in their fleet and the growing fleets of Singapore, Qantas, Lufthansa AF, Korean, Thai, MAS...And thats not including recent orders from Asiana and Skymark. LOLOL
With 2,383 orders for Boeing 737 makes Boeing number 1 builder of single aisle planes and theres 12,000 Boeing 737's in service. Meanwhile Airbus A380-WE (White Elephant) is hitting the skids with no sales for 2011 and the A350-SDL (Super Delay Liner) still does not have an engine for 5 to 10 years not ready till 2017-2019. Pratt & Whitneys workers celebrate 1600 engines for Neo. While lazy Brtis complain their jobs were stolen from them which proves Europe cannot build a descent jet engine.
@LottoWinner999 I find it hilarious to read you say that "hell would freeze over before AA bought Airbus again"..You're a class 1 idiot aren't you Lottie. Just think, an "all-Boeing" customer is no longer prepared 2 accept bullshit from Boeing. Press reports say Airbus has delivered a knockout blow to Boeing, right where it hurts! Remember this Lottie, 260 A320 plus 365 options compared to 200 737s that Boeing have yet to build. AA are slipping away from old, worn out designs to newer models lol
@LottoWinner999 And let's not forget the many 737s that crashed as a direct result of design failure to the rudder mechanism. I guess Boeing murdered the passengers in those cases? You're clutching at straws Desperate Dan...nothing new here. AA have made their decision, once that gets you in the throat and has depressed Boeing's stock price. Happy days at Airbus..Numpty!! Delta and United next to buy Airbus A320neo, you'll see.
@BOACMach2 American Airlines are in Chapter 11 Bankruptscy, in the deal Boeing 737s are to be sold 1ST and Airbus is 2ND. Why do you refuse to discuss how Airbus screwed AA with lies at the FAA hearing? Now in the Airbus deal which AB is financing I am chuckling because AB going to give credit to AA who U screwed in business. I can only imagine how AA is going to get even with AB and its long way before delivery & AB is cash-strapped. BTW why do U have such a mean nasty ugly personality? Tallyho
@BOACMach2 Not so, Boeing has first delivery to American Airlines for 200 737s and Airbus has quiet about the defective rudders on A330-600 Queens Crash that murdered 200 people. Airbus lied and screwed AA at FFA hearing and thats AA canceled and retired all its A330's. Airbus get a second chance unless the CEO that hates AB changes his mind. U should tell Airbus to make Neos rudders so they don't break AA is going to screw Airbus for lying about defective A330-600 at FAA hearing. Tallyho
AIRBUS CANCELLATIONS FOR A350-SDL (SUPER DELAY LINER)
@BOACMach2 Spain's Air Europa cancelled orders for 10 A350XWBs to eight Boeing 787s (plus 8 options) ouch! This is is the worst type of news for Airbus and EADS a defection to your only competitor ouch, ouch! Airbus had counted this business as a firm order, tsk, tsk. Next, Italy's Eurofly cancelled its 3 A350s cuz of delays. Dubai leasing canceled remaining Airbus orders worth $5.8 bn., ouch, while Boeing survived with 90% of its sales.
@LottoWinner999 No one gives a tinkers cuss what you think Lottie. There are a dozen or more people who have made you look the idiot on a regular basis. Face it, Boeing are like a ship without a rudder, no sense of direction business wise going around in circles. Just like you really, the same sense less babble, week in, week out. Everyone laughs their asses at your idiotic rants. Go away you puerile waste of space.
@BOACMach2 Your the only Airbus-Fan that I know that Jerks Off with your tongue, BTW where did you learn how to that? It just proves the idiot you are because you will not accept the truth that A330, A320, A310,A340's and A380 are a bunch of outdated pieces of shit that pollute the sky with their ugliness. The only time Airbus aircraft looks good is after it crashes. However the 1ST A380 crash is going to bring down Airbuses Ponzi Scheme of manufacuting dangerous pieces of with two wings. UYMF

@BOACMach2 Hey my litterl Airfagger I caught you lying again and now Airbus has 100 million late fine and two billion Euros in debt. There going to cancel "Your Precious Airbus A380", I love it, ha, ha Airbus blows the big French dick again!
@BOACMach2 Boeings rolling out 2,387 B737's airplanes for at least another 15 years. With AA order and expected orders ahead, Boeing will raise production higher than current plan of 40 jets a month. Russia ordered 22 B787, 8 B777s and 40 Nexgen 737 planes, comprised of 7 737-900ERs and 33 737-800s. Russians say the B737 is the best all around plane for harsh climates, tough landing conditions. Boeing said larger fuel tanks could extend range for 737-900ER to 45000 NM with 215 passengers.
@BOACMach2 The A320 is cheaply built while B737 is the worlds best selling jet airliner with 9 different models. The reengined B737 has better milage, seating capacity is 180 to 215 VS 124 for Neo which they call the Flying Sardine Can. New B737 has 787 arched interior, better seats and 3 different fuel efficient quality American built jet engines to choose from made for Boeing Nacells. Airbus A320neo is the cheapest upgrade with an Earl Shrive $29.99 paint job that takes the joy out of flying!
AIRBUS A380-WE-SDL (WHITE ELEPHANT SUPER DELAY LINER)
@BOACMach2 Chew Seng, CEO of Singapore Airlines wants to sue Airbus due to delay in delivering A380. Chew says clause in contract provides SIA to seek damages for late delivery. Seng, "Airbus is like a taxi hire, the longer the journey, the more it costs." Each delay is more expensive for Airbus A380 AKA Delay Liner. Chew said he's foccusing on Boeing more than Airbus since SIA will be receiving 19 Boeing 777-300ER before A380s!
@BOACMach2 Yo is the only Airbus-Freak that Jerks Off with your tongue, I been on B-52's and seen the KC-135 Stratotanker that became Boeing 707. If it were not for Boeing aviation would not be this advanced since BOAC Comet had a tendency to explode. Airbus Freaks R fucked + A380-WE (White Elephant) & A350-SDL (Super Delay Liner). Boeing B787s and B747-8I orders cause Airbus to panic cuz they only have orders for warmed over A320 with a new paint job.
@MrWillydoit Sorry to correct you but "Whiteria" is a parolee on work release and because of his good behavior they reassigned him as a PBA AKA "Permanent Bathroom Attendant" and BOACMach2 raves that is the perfect job for "Whiteria" plus he can sell Airbus Monogrammed Knee Pads with X-large bottle of Scope mouthwash. Some guys have all the luck and "Whiteria" finally has his dream job as Airbus's 1ST 3RD class Permanent Bathroom Attendant on an A380. Its nice to see another 1ST at Airbus!
@MrWillydoit How do you know neither works in the aviation business? Being rude about folk you disagree with is a sure sign your argument, whatever that may be, is weak. The people that matter, the airlines, have made their choice of aircraft and most prefer the A380. Boeing is a great company with a great history but they have no devine right nor monopoly in aviation. Those days are long gone. Just accept competition is good for the industry as it drives improvements in technology and safety.
@USNemesis you claim to be an "Entrepreneur" is a joke plus U and your lover BOACMach2 plan to sell your own-line of peverted sex toys on the 1ST on-board "A380 Gift Shop" strategically located next to the 3RD class bathrooms. People heard U bragging your Airbus monogrammed knee pads with X-large bottle of Scope mouthwash is your number 1 seller. But many of your 3RD class flyers are quite angry about U selling them recycled rubbers and U refuse to offer a refund makes U a cheap Entrepreneur!
@LottoWinner999 You're too dumb to understand the intricacies and economics of the airline business so I'll keep this real simple. If one manufacturer is selling better than another on a year in, year out basis it's because they're doing things right by their customers. The PAS has shown the growing void in terms of sales which you will try and kid yourself is not there. Just as well you're not employed by Boeing isn't it. Now go take your juvenile behavior to the kindergarden.
@USNemesis WHY DID A320 Flight 296 CRASH @ PARIS AIR SHOW
It is proven that the Flight Data Recorder was switched after the accident. Lausanne Institute of Police Forensic Evidence and Criminology comes to the conclusion the recorder presented to the Court is NOT the one taken from the aircraft after the accident. Evidence, photographs, has now been exposed that Airbus official at the scene switched Digital Flight Data Recorder before the court hearing and
@USNemesis the Whalebus in 10 years has only his 51 A380-Delay-Liners in service and 190 sales in the Airbus Fairy Tale Book they must build-sell 500 to break even. At 2 per month with 2 1/2year delay thats not going to happen. In 5 months sold 117 B-747-8Is & B747-8Fs and every sale is nail in the Airbus Coffin. Airbus short on cash goes back to making the cheap A320neo as a desperate low-profit money maker will not be on the market till 2019. Of course Boeing anounces 737 replacement!
@LottoWinner999 Adopting your dubious logic, in the 6yrs of production of the Intercontinental, not one of the 33 firm orders has been has been delivered. The aircraft is still to receive its Certificate of Airworthiness, a very poor return on capital invested. Even the 747-8F has only received 76 firm orders in 6years, a figure beaten by the 777F and A330F. Not surprisingly, Lufthansa will be applying for compensation for the delay & loss of business. Boeing sure love shooting themselves over
@USNemesis The 747-8I Certificate of Airworthiness is a formality and you must be scraping the bottom of the barrel to bitch about that when you should be worrying about your unemployed bloke in jolly ole england. Now the A350-Delay-Liner is the joke of AB and all U Airbus Grouped was harping on the 787 which will be delivered in four to six weeks.
@USNemesis Boeing throwing a monkey wrench into Airbus's plans for the A320neo which must upgrade to compete Boeings replacemnt" concept from NASA's subsonic fixed-wing program" Engineers learned fro 787’s composite-plastic construction can be scaled to a small jet more easily than thought. Boeing new aluminum-lithium materials are lighter, stronger and less prone to corrosion than traditional alloys. What will Boeing Phantom Works think of next?
@LottoWinner999 The A320neo is a smart move by European manufacturer Airbus as has been proven by its spectacular 1029 orders in 2011. This surpassed the Boeing 787s total of 827 within a matter of 6 months. Boeing's poor leadership and lack of decision-making in the last 2-3 years has led to the manufacturer's decline, though senior personnel are reported to be losing patience with Jim Alburgh. Alburgh's reign at Boeing could be coming to an end with labor problems a further nail in the coffin
@LottoWinner999 Airbus has put Boeing on the back foot and forced them to make a decision to re-engine (for the 3rd time!..LOL!) They are going to be well and truly stuffed when they come to hang the new pods from the wings. The wings will need strengthening, the undercarriage lifting and the aircraft itself re-balancing aerodynamically. Boeing are screwed with the botched 737 now. I can only see other American airlines switching to Airbus A320neos too. Poor management has led to this disaster.
@BOACMach2 U Eurotards are making enemies. U built the A380 White Elephant to get even with Boeing + the American ppl. U harped Boeing is the delay liner + now AB has to 2 delay liners, A380 & A350-SDL (Super Delay Liner) without an engine. AB is building cheap planes to pay for your in debt A380-WE White Elephant with a 2 year delay while Boeing delivers 3 versions of B787s + its 747-8I. AB is robbing Paul to pay Peter, admit eventually the A380-WE is going 2B canceled or bankrupt AB!
@julesgymnast At one point, the 747 project almost bankrupted Boeing. The original JT9D engines were underpowered, overheated and Boeing was left with 15 "new" 747's on the tarmac at Everett but no P&W engines to put on them. So quit the s**t about the A380 being the worst ever. It has been flying successfully in commercial service since Oct 07. YOU must be blind to the fact I have agreed that there have been faults previously.
@julesgymnast I'm saying that faults occur on all airliners, be they electrical, hydraulic, pump, engine etc.etc. It is utter nonsense for you to imply these things are regular occurances. You do whatever you can to scrape the barrel and it shows. Desperately trying to find something wrong. What next..a a vdu that has blown, a seat that doesn't recline. You are a waste of space. The issues of the 747 were brought up to show you all aircraft have issues. I thought that was obvious.
@julesgymnast there was no electrical fire the other day. It happened earlier this year Jan 31st 2011 to be exact. These things happen and are expected in such as new airliner that has only been in service for four years.
Did you hear about the electrical fire in the 787 during flight testing?
Just looked up all orders for Boeing 747-8. 109 orders as of dec 2010 and now China airlines has ordered 5 more, China airlines has also placed a large order with Boeing totalling 10 billion $ for various aircraft. 38 747-8i 's and the rest of the 747-8 orders will be f 's. Plus there is also 5 BBJ 747-8 orders. So when people comment they have only sold 33 they are telling stories, Boeing has sold 119 747-8's as of May 2011 ( yes I accounted for cancellations )
@prohelipilot1 that's all well in true but the freighter and commericial passenger airline markets are quite different. There is no competition between the two.
For the mean time Airbus has put the A380F on the back burner until production of the passenger varient has stablised.
In any case there are still more sales for A380-800 than the combined freighter and passenger versions of 747-8.
Yes that's right. A380 is outselling 747-8 in every way possible.
@whitireia that's all well in true but the freighter and commercial passenger airline markets are quite different. The Boeing 747-8I is the winner with more sales..
Airbus has canceled the A380F on the until production of the passenger varient which has not sold one A380 for 2011 cuz Airbus is piece of shit with two wings.
In any case there are 117 747-8I & 747-8 sales that is putting the A380 out of business
Yes that's right. Boeing 747-8 is outselling Airfags A380 in every way possible.
@whitireia Airbus made surprise announcement that delivery of the A380 would be delayed half a year. A six-month delay had been announced last year.
@LottoWinner999 DOUBLE WHAMMY FOR BOEING!..Let's talk about some up to date news shall we, not news posted 5yrs ago. Surprise surprise! Boeing have announced a further (is this the 6th or 7th?) delay for the 787-9. Oh dear dear! No wonder Air New Zealand are so fed up of Boeing's incompetence and excuses this may well be the last order they place with the troubled American manufacturer. Not only are several carriers seeking compensation for the -8, they'll now be doing the same for the -9. LOL!
@BOACMach2 U sound like a Glorified Limey Drag Queen. "Oh dear dear!" Has your new teenage husband with the little dick been but fucking U? Airbus is an disaster and has to pay RR One Billion Euros to build a engine for your beloved A350-SDL(Super-Delay-Liner). You A340 sales have been destroyed by Boeing 777 orders. Boeing delivered its first 787 that going to cost AB A350-SDL allot of sales since two Boeing Plants will be building 35 B-787s per month. Airbus is fucke like U!
@LottoWinner999 LOL! Baldrick's back everyone, getting trashed everywhere I look. Listen imbecile, you just can't handle the truth & facts that Airbus is slowly wiping out Boeing year on year. The 7late7-9 is delayed AGAIN with ANZ threatening to cancel their orders completely along with other major airlines. No wonder sales of that a/c have gone backwards for the past 3 years. No one can rely on Boeing anymore & the court case with IMO and NLRB is going to prove very costly in terms of sales
@BOACMach2 Airbus planes are losers + Boeing 2,387 orders for Boeing 737. As far remodeling Airbus builds outdated heavy steel that cannot compare to B-787. Airbus still whining cuz its going to take RR 5 to 10 years to design & build a new engine for A350-SDL(Super Delay Liner). Airbus Rathole AKA A380-WE(White Elephant) 16 billion Euro debt will bankrupt AB. Oh, ANA has taken delivery of 1ST Boeing 787. Poor Airfaggers. Remember an Airbus is a flaming piece of shit with two wings!!!
@LottoWinner999 Dumb doesn't really do you justice. Look at the way you get so defensive, sitting there seeing poor old Boeing in decline, a ship with no rudder, an inept management that can't decide to remodel the 737 when the industry keeps telling them to do so. Now they've paid the price in losing a "Boeing only" customer in AA. They were lucky to get anything from that deal, their salespeople scurrying around like headless chickens & committing Boeing to a plane without Board approval.
@LottoWinner999 We now know why Boeing never committed to remodelling a year ago. BOEING HASN'T GOT THE CASH TO SUPPORT THE PROJECT. It's screwed with delays to the 787 (and now 787-9) leading to compensation claims of some $5B. Not only that, they face court action from the IMO and NLRB and have been told that if they open the 2nd assembly line in S.C., the workers in Everett, Renton etc. will strike. ANZ are threatening to cancel their 787-9 orders due to more delays. The list just goes on lol
@LottoWinner999 By contrast, Airbus's lead over Boeing in terms of sales increases year on year. Just to remind you, the A320neo has taken more orders in 9mths than the 787 has done in 7 years..lol! Equally funny is the fact no American airline wants the antique 747-8I, preferring the older, but better 777. Lufthansa were virtually given their 20 747-8Is, such was Boeing's desperation to sell some. Korean Air's A380 is now taking American custom at JFK and LAX later this year. Boeing are doomed!
@LottoWinner999 I suggest that you get out there with your collection tin or begging bowl for Boeing because right now they are screwed financially. Even income from deliveries of the 7late7, 777 & 737 antiques will not be enough to pay the raw material & wage bills, compensation claims & court costs. Boeing then have the S.C. plant to pay for and 1000+ workers sitting idle. Maybe you should offer your services free of charge as a tea boy..LOL! Now go away fool!
@LottoWinner999 One final point. The backlog of orders for the A320 stands at close to 3,000 and breaking news is that Vietnamese Airlines and Aeroflot are considering ordering the A380 to replace their old Boeings. Always remember, Boeing has become the vulture of the airline industry, feeding off leftovers and scraps..lol!
@BOACMach2 U lie like a rug, A320 orders tops at 1018 with 84 camcels plus its a cheap plane aka low profit-maker. Since 1967 with 6819 aircraft delivered and 2109 orders yet to be fulfilled Airbus will never match the B-737 as worlds best selling airliner that can seat 185 passengers. Vietnam & Aeroflot have pruchased 8 new Boeing 777-ER that hold the world record range of 9,380 nautical miles. The Triple 777 kicks Airbus ass + Aeroflotjust bought 65 Boeing 737s. BOACMach2 stop lying U fool!
@BOACMach2 The A380-WE(White Elephant) is a flop + its not selling. Wake up Boeing 777-ER is killing Airbus cuz U will never have GE-C90 the worlds most powerful jet engine that being retooled 2B more powerful + economical. Airbus never developed future engines were Boeing-GE partnered to advanced engines. Airbus is cheap its the day or by off the rack jet engines developed for Boeing is over. RR say it will take 5 to 10 years to design + build an engine for A350-SDL(Super-Delay-Liner)! Tsk,tsk
@BOACMach2 hey asswipe U forget to tell every one ANA has taken delivery of its 1ST Boeing 787 + the pathetic A350-SDL9Super Delay Liner) will not have engine till 2015. Gee Boeing GE-C90 Exclusivity Contract is strangling the A350. Oh, dear, what will Airbus do in their latest dilema and financial fiasco? Eurotards at the helm of Airbus and the A350-WE(White Elepahnt) is steerig Airbus to early retirement. Soon the A380-WHALEJET will be in the Arizona grave-yard and be sold for parts + scrap.
@LottoWinner999 LOL!..What a Dork! Yeah, the 787 ANA has is the one with Trent 1000's right? You know, the only engine that's currently certified. Pity it's over 3 years late and Boeing now face $5B in compensation claims from angry airlines. Worse still the 787-9 is going to be delayed a further year prompting the likes of Air New Zealand to threaten to cancel all 7late7 orders. Boeing are a complete disaster right now, they can't even make a decision on the vintage 737 till Airbus forced them
@BOACMach2 The FAA just approved GE-Nexgen engine. Talking about the A350-SDL(Super-Delay-liner) it going to be a long time B4 they have an engine for the A350-SDL. The A380-SDL-WE(Super-Delay-Liner-White Elephant is 2 1/2 years behind cuz of the Trent Exploding Engines. Airbus had to pay SIA 100 milliion EUROS. Malaysia Air Lines is fed up with Airbus delays + ILFC is “seriously considering” canceling its order for 10 Airbus A380s. Never forget an Airbus is a piece of shit with two wings!!!
@BOACMach2 Sorry asshole but Aeroflot bought all Boeing because the cheaply made A320peon cannot hold as many passengers as the Boeing 737. Plus the Russians prefer Boeing over any piece of shit that Airbus makes. Aerolfot just bought a bunch of Triple 777s and 90 B737s. Airbus is getting the Russian boot because they know Airbus will be out of business once the cancel the A380-SDL-WE on Aeroloflot bought some 787s' Airbus is doomed to fail and be bankrupt!
@BOACMach2 Hey the Boeing 787 just finished testing and it recieve its FAA Airworthiness Certificate and deliveries are go to roll and Boeing sales skyrocket because Airbus has nothing that can compete with the B787. A350-SDL cancellations will hit the max cuz people want the best and the A350-SDL is a piece of shit with two wings that cannot compare to the Boeing 787 Dreamliner which will put end to Airbus flying shit boxes!
@LottoWinner999 Face the facts, Boeing are losing credibility worldwide and are getting their asses whipped year in, year out where sales are concerned. Airbus trounced them at the PAS and have sold 1209 A320neos in the space of 9months. It has taken Boeing 7 YEARS to sell 827 of the "wonderful" 7late7. The A320 will surpass the 737 as the world's most popular aircraft within the next 2-3years. Boeing have had 8800 orders for the 737 over 44years, the A320 7692 over 23years. Go figure asshole!
@BOACMach2 Hey asshole check your Stats Vietnam bought all new Boeing Triple 777s and again Airbus loses and Aeroflot bought all Beoing staright accross the line!
@LottoWinner999 Re the 777 purchases. Have you seen the internet headlines? "Aeroflot buys cheap Boeings". That just about sums it up. Boeing have stopped being a business and become a charity. No wonder they can't afford to remodel the 737, they just keep giving stuff away..lol! Also note that Aeroflot are considering buying the A380 for certain routes. Wanna dispute that too? Look at the internet newsfeeds fool! LottoLoser aka Baldrick, the dimmest pleb on You Tube.
@LottoWinner999 Hey "asshole"..Here's the link for Vietnam Airlines, proving they intend to buy the A380. Have a fun packed day with your begging bowl for Boeing numpty!...en.baomoi.com(slash)Info(slash)Vietnam-Airlines-plans-to-buy-Airbus-A380(slash)12(slash)162113.epi
@LottoWinner999 By the way numpty, Airbus have been in negociations with Vietnam Airlines for the past 14months about the purchase of several A380s. I wouldn't expect you to be ahead of the game like the rest of us but I suggest you check the internet from time to time, you might actually learn something. In the meantime, run off to the kids section to learn your basics.
@BOACMach2 International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC) is “seriously considering” canceling its order for 10 Airbus A380s. According to Hazy, ILFC can cancel the order between January and June of 2010 without having to pay any penalties. In addition to an outright cancellation — which would be the first ever for the type!!
@LottoWinner999 "According to Hazy, ILFC can cancel the order between January and June of 2010 without having to pay any penalties." In case you hadn't noticed this is 2011 not 2010 and ILFC cancelled the order a few months ago! Jeez Louise how old/inaccurate are your sources?
Wired Magazine 17th August 2011: "Flight testing with the General Electric powered 787 will continue and is expected to be completed by the end of the year", so no the GE is not certified.
@cheesemaster1000 You should remember, LottoLoser just turns out the same out of date news, month in, month out. If it's not lies it's normal screwball stuff.
Never forget Baldrick, Boeing are the new vultures of the aviation world, living off the scraps left by Airbus.
@LottoWinner999 Go away Fool!..you're just boring and everything you say is at least 1 year out of date. You just keep rolling out the old news about ILFC's decision. Should I keep reminding you of the fact 787 sales peaked at 910 three years ago and now stand at 827. And how Boeing cannot make a profit on that project unless they sell 1500.
@BOACMach2 You keep inflating every thing to fit your delisonal thoughts and Boeing is going to have its B787-10 to counter act the A350-1000-UDL(Ultra-Dealy-Liner) which we be ready by 2019.
@BOACMach2 SEATTLE, Aug. 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Boeing (NYSE: BA) and Thai Airways International (THAI) have finalized a firm order for six 777-300 Extended Range (ER) airplanes.
The order completes an agreement to purchase Boeing 777-300ERs announced during the Paris Air Show in June. At list prices, the order is valued at $1.7 billion.
@LottoWinner999 Haha Lotto, you never fail to amaze me. You just started talking about Boeing's August orders yet you failed to mention the largest order of them all from Delta! Are you allergic to news that was released in the last 2 days? But you know what, you're right let's forget about Delta's order because as you say single aisles are "low profit airliners". Besides 2011 orders still stand, Airbus: 785; Boeing: 370. And deliveries Airbus: 298; Boeing: 260.
@cheesemaster1000 You forgot to add the 494 orders from five airlines and than add the 100 from Delta and 40 ALFCOM and about 100 777 orders from five different airlines so your off about 730 Boeing orders which puts Boeing over a 1100 orders and than add for your being dishonest add another 100 that makes 850 orders and that makes Boeing orders at 1240 planes versus Airbus 370. Airbus is going donwn the tubes and you know it!
@cheesemaster1000 It's official. Baldrick has the symptoms of senility and dementia. All his senseless babble and nonsense over the past few months makes complete sense now. Better humour him ok?
HEY LOTTIE, yes Boeing have picked up A 321 order for the 737 today, A 320 for the 777, not forgetting A 380 order for the 747-8I and A 350 for the 787. Gee! What a day's business for Boeing!
@BOACMach2 You claim you use facts and good judgement while replying to others and you say you do NOT use insults an talk childish. You better go reread your comment to cheesmaster1000 where you talk about LottoWinner999. You act like a 3 yr old who has had his rattle taken away from him
@prohelipilot1 Who are you, LottoLoser's mother? Given how you refer to factual data from both manufacturers sites, I find it really strange that whilst you'll take issue with others on a variety of aviation related matters here and elsewhere you never argue with Lotto over his blatant lies and mistruths. That tells me one thing, that you are in all probability, another of Lotto's accounts. I'm not the only one who has pointed this out either. Baldrick deserves everything he gets.
@BOACMach2 Listen mr BOACMach2 all I ever see is you resorting to name calling. You make no valid points and when I challenged you on points you made in the past you refused to answer. The comments about quantities and aircraft specs conflict with one another from page to page. The A380 has been for sale now for 10 1/2 yrs and they have 236 aircraft sold and 54 delivered as of end of Aug. 2011. Do you really think these are fantastic numbers?
@prohelipilot1 Ok let's not beat around the bush. You're right 236 orders for 10 1/2 years is not great, and if you look at a cost-benefit analysis between the A380 and 747-8, the -8 probably has seen the biggest % return on investment. But that said, when the 747 was launched in the 60's sales didn't exactly take off until the late 70's. Growth in the Far East will push A380 sales up over the next 20 years.
Do you think Boeing's 2011 sales figures are "fantastic"?
@cheesemaster1000 No I do not think they are fantastic, they are increasing though and Airbuses sales of other models are doing alright. My own thing with theA380 is it weighs more than it is supposed to and it drinks alot of fuel to go 8'000 N M . when you add the 320,000 ltrs odf fuel it requires to do these trips it leaves under 100,000 lbs for payload. So they need to get the weight down some and/or the efficiency up some for a good payload
@prohelipilot1 You are very right! Payload can be as low as 100,000 lbs, but realistically how many routes will be 8,000 nm in length? For instance LHR-NRT is just over 5,000 and LHR-SIN is just over 6,000.
@cheesemaster1000 It is true alot of the flights will be shorter but then why not use short haul aircraft and they are now saying that they are having trouble keeping the plane 80% full, but the airport landing fees do not go down when your plane is not full so you still pay the airport landing fees for an aircraft of that size and with empty seats you don't have the revenue coming in. I remember reading in the 1970's that the runway fees at CYYZ for a 747 were over $7000.oo
@prohelipilot1 I'm actually quite well acquainted with landing expenses, I've got a lot of information from both LHR and LGW because I was thinking about starting an airline. Landing fees are split into three main categories light aircraft (Under 8 tonnes), Mid-Sized aircraft (under 75 tonnes) and Heavy aircraft 75 tonne +. But obviously every airport has its own boundaries. At LHR, for example, a Heavy landing slot costs around £2,000 off peak and about £3,000 for peak times (10:00-16:00).
@cheesemaster1000 I did not know that the landing expenses was done that , I thought it was a different figure for each aircraft ( but my info on that was real old anyway ) thanks for the update on that.
@prohelipilot1 I guess each airport does their own thing. From what I've seen it's the norm here in Europe to have one price for everyone. Although, as I've just found out, some American airports do do things slightly differently, so you were not wrong.
I just checked the tariffs for JFK and LGW. At LGW they have 3 bands, 'Less than 16 metric tonnes' 'Less than 50 metric tonnes' and 'Greater than 50 metric tonnes'. Peak time 'Greater than 50 metric tonnes' comes in at £1,589.85 per landing.
@prohelipilot1 Yet at JFK they sell landing slots by the lbs. It is currently $1.20 per 1000 lbs of the maximum takeoff weight, so for instance it would cost $603 to land a 787-800 and $1500 to land an A380.
It's actually a wonder LCC's haven't started charging for passengers to use the lavatories, it costs £50 each time to remove waste water at LGW. Then airlines have to pay to get clean water pumped onboard as well.
Literally anything the airports can charge for, they will.
@prohelipilot1 So essentially you pay the same to land a 757 as you would a A380 (a kind of 1 size fits all approach).
Although the 737-600 is actually under 75 tonnes so it fits in the Mid-Sized category whereas the 737-700 and A320 are in the large/heavy category.
Another revenue earner the airports have is the "charge per passenger", I think at LHR its something like £15 per passenger, LGW about £12 and smaller airports about £4.
@prohelipilot1 One thing airlines can do is reduce seating capacity (increase seat pitch and/or add more FC/Bus class seats), once they've reduced seating capacity they can bump up the fare prices. Which is what many airlines are doing with the A380.
@prohelipilot1 I mean take Korean Air, for example, they only operate 74 more seats on their A380s (407) than they do on their new 747-400 configuration (333). Yet the A380 has 49% more floor space meaning it should really have 163 more seats (496) than their 747's.
With these numbers we can see the A380 cabin is more spacious and I would presume the fare price reflects this. So when you struggle to fill a plane, lower seats and put up fares.
@BOACMach2 No I am not his mother, I don't even know him but you post all over here about namecalling and you better go reread your comments. You call him names too and although Airbus as a whole is doing O K the A380 program is not doing so good and your way of handling that is to call me names. You are not an aviation expert but you are immature
@BOACMach2 I would like to see you post your answer for the challened question on this page please , I ran out of room on the other comment but use 8'000 N M for the distance and since airbus posts the fuel in LTRs not gallons A ltr of Jet fuel is 1.587 lbs ( in case you didn't have that ) All the other numbers ( MTOW, empty weight etc. ) you can use Airbus.com's published numbers Don't forget crew. Let me know what you come up with
@BOACMach2 I would like to see you post your answer for the challened question on this page please , I ran out of room on the other comment but use 8'000 N M for the distance and since airbus posts the fuel in LTRs not gallons A ltr of Jet fuel is 1.587 lbs ( in case you didn't have that ) All the other numbers ( MTOW, empty weight etc. ) you can use Airbus.com's published numbers Don't forget crew. Let me know what you come up with
@prohelipilot1 From what I have seen elsewhere, you clearly dont know how airlines calculate their fuel requirements. What's the point of fuelling an aircraft to fly 8000nm if its only going to fly 6000nm as has been pointed out by cheesemaster1000 to you already. That makes no commercial sense whatsoever and would merely eat into the trip profit margin. It takes fuel to fly fuel, remember. Why would any airline choose to fly with unnecessary "dead weight"? I would have thought that obvious.
@BOACMach2 Look you idiot, I never said they fill the plane to full capacity to fly a 6,000 N M flight ( that is you spreading bullshit again ) I said that when filled to full capacity to fly an 8,200 N M trip it has a payload ( passengers, luggage, crew ) of 102,000 lbs. So watch your mouth
@BOACMach2 I am surprised that cheesmaster1000 would even associate himself with you, He speaks with intelligence and you speak with ignorance and resort to namecalling. You are way too biased to ever post an intelligent comment and if you were in front of me and mouthed off or accused me of being somebodies mother I would knock your front teeth out, You are just a mouthy troll who cries like a baby because the A380 is not doing to well. You are incapable of telling the truth
@prohelipilot1 Atleast BOACMach2 actually knows something about commercial aircraft, unlike you. All you do is make up shit. You claim that Airbus said that the A380 was a mistake, yet when I ask you for the link to that page, you don't reply. Just shut up you fail.
@IIproductionsII Do you even know how to read or do you just look at pictures? It is right on the airbus site how many upper managment executives have lost their jobs or left the company over the A380 and Airbus admits it is focusing its main attention on the A350 and A320. I am going to say this again because your real stupid " The A380 is not doing to well as far as sales are concerned " and as far as original projections go they thought they would have sold over 800 aircraft by 2011
@prohelipilot1 Yes but where does it say Airbus saying "The A380 was a mistake" it never said that you dumbass idiot, so stop trying to cover up your lies. Yes Airbus haven't broken even yet, but there are still many orders, Qantas, Emirates Singapore are all ordering more....and BA are getting some now too.
@IIproductionsII You say flying an aircraft is much harder than flying a simulator. You are so frikken clueless, you are the dumbest idiot on youtube. And when Airbus says they predicted they would have over 800 orders by 2011 and the order book stands at 236, that alone is admission the aircraft is not doing so well. Again your talking trash you say all these airlines are ordering A380's but Airbus says they have not. Airbus is right and your full of shit
@prohelipilot1 So you out right disagree to the statement that Qantas, Singapore and Emirates are ordering more A380s and British Airways have already ordered their first lot? You're an idiot! Go check it up, look up A380 orders you tool. Also the fact that Airbus are currently designing the 800 and 900 A380s means they don't think it was a mistake.
You're full of shit, and you make up lies about Airbus saying things that you clearly know they never said.
@prohelipilot1 Yet another of your lies. Airbus have never said this, nor would any aircraft manufacturer make guarantees on numbers of sales. You are the one talking trash and are a clueless bint. Give me link that shows Airbus said they would have 800 sales by 2011 and I'll gladly apologise. But I know you won't, in the same way you can't give links to anything saying the A380 is overweight by 20tons nor offer a link saying Airbus have admitted the aircraft is inefficient. You're a serial liar
@BOACMach2 More stories again BULLSHITTERMACH2 Show me were I myself or anyone else on here said they guarantee te number of aircraft sold. The word used was predicted. A prediction is like a forecast you idiot it is not a guarantee. Its a nice try on your part though to try and twist something around because you can't prove your point. Airbus A380 sales 236 aircraft Tell all the lies you want but that is how many have been ordered. Now fuck off and don't comment anymore
@IIproductionsII The truth is, prophelipilot's just another ignoramus, pedalling his own brand of misinformation, being economic with the truth at best, a pack of lies at worst. When you press him for direct sources or ask for links as you have done, he can never provide them. He tries to divert attention away to avoid looking the fool but nobody's fooled by this tactic. He accuses others of being liars, idiots and being unnecessarily insulting yet that's exactly what he is. What a hypocrite!
@BOACMach2 The truth is BOACMach2 is just an ignorant englishman who makes up stories about the A380 right here on this same page is another one of his "dream " sales orders for the A380. he has told us about the 25 orders coming at the Paris airshow, those orders never came and neither did the ones listed on this page either. The sales for the A380 stand at 236 aircraft ordered there has not been an order in well over a year. Never mind BOACMach2's bullshit read it on Airbus.com
@prohelipilot1 Good coming from a 22carat hypocrite. I can validate every comment I make from independent sources. You're just a numbskull who thinks he knows a little but knows jack shit. Bias means prejudice. What exactly am I showing prejudice against? Certainly not Boeing as you assume. I'm biased against bullshit which you produce by the shovel. By the way, anyone can be real tough behind a computer screen. Judging your arguments, you'd have trouble punching your way out of a paper bag.lol!
BOACMach2 Boeing Reclaims Large Order Lead Over Airbus It's Deliveries Count.Boeing Leads There, Boeing regained substantial order lead over Airbus, according to both planemakers. Seattle Times reports Airbus listed 713 gross new orders for year at end of August, with a net total - taking cancellations into account -- of 656 jets. Over same period, Boeing listed 773 gross orders, 763 net. The figures do not include Boeings last 640 orders will burry Airbus!
Bloomberg Sep 6th 2011 AIRBUS HEADS FOR RECORD YEAR OUTSELLING BOEING AS ORDERS RISE WITH A320 NEO
@LottoWinner999 "Airbus SAS has won 1,156 orders so far this year, outselling rival Boeing Co. (BA) and putting the planemaker on track to capture its highest annual intake following the introduction of the A320neo. The company pulled in a net 1,015 orders after cancellations during the first eight months. That includes 918 neos"
@LottoWinner999 "Since introducing the re-engined A320 in December, Airbus has won more than 1,200 commitments for the plane. If the company secures firm orders for the outstanding 300 commitments, it will approach the 2007 record of 1,458 orders."
"Boeing so far this year has won 472 gross orders through Aug. 30, and 370 net orders, according to information on the Chicago-based company’s website."
So much for Boeing selling more than Airbus this year...LOL! Numpty!
BOEING LEFT IN AIRBUS'S WAKE AS MORE 787 CANCELLATIONS ROLL IN
@LottoWinner999 Monarch Airlines have finally lost patience with Boeing. The aircraft, due to have been delivered three years ago have been the subject of further delays. Monarch have notified Boeing of their decision.
Air India, a launch customer of the much delayed 787, have made the decision to cancel the bulk of their 787 order. Delays in delivery are cited as the principal reason.
Boeing Reclaims Large Order Lead Over Airbus But It's Deliveries That Count... And Boeing Leads There, As Well The Seattle Times reports Airbus listed 713 gross new orders for the year through the end of August, with a net total -- taking cancellations into account -- of 656 jets. Over the same period, Boeing listed 773 gross orders, 763 net.
@BOACMach2 Can you please comment on how patient A380 customers are with ALL THE PROBLEMS that they are having with the A380's. Lets face it pal if you are going to sit here and tell us the A380 problems are normal than you are the most full of shit person on the planet. Why do you denny states made by the airlines and by Airbus themselves about the A380. I have kept challenging you on your points and you keep walking away
@prohelipilot1 It seems you've got more issues with the A380 than the airlines have. Save the incident with QF32, a RR not an Airbus issue, the aircraft is exceeding expectations and passengers love the flight experience. These are matters of fact as reported in the aviation press. Having myself flown with both Emirates and Singapore on the A380, I can concur with the verdicts. But you're right, the airlines are being patient for sure. Emirates' CEO wants his fleet of 90 A380s like yesterday.
@prohelipilot1 But as you appear to be such a learned chap, I'm sure you have your list of faults concerning the A380 that you wish to get off your chest. Feel free to express your concerns & I will do my best to answer them. In the interests of of the majority, many of whom may be impressionable, gullible juveniles, please be kind enough to refrain from profanities. You can appreciate how this might make you look. LottoLoser is 1 such person who just couldn't deal with language correctly
@LottoWinner999 Every thing you read from the aviation industry shows Boeing as the aircraft of the future and Airbus trailing behind in economy, direct operating costs, and cruising speed. Not to mention that Airbus have given the term " ironing the bugs out " new meaning. I believe that Dartagyn and BOACMach2 are the same guy anyway. He best work on a farm, because the way he spreads shit we could have heads of lettuce 2.5 meters in diameter
@prohelipilot1 They call BOACMach2 AKA "Oslo" from the sitcom Keeping Up Appearnce. The thing about him is that he's a total fraud. I read his posts were he says I'm "Dead Heading" and I got all kinds of perks cuz I'm a senior "Flight Attendant". I informed the person he's scamming & we laughed so hard he threw a nutty. He's a 24/7 liar whose he gone nuts since informed him that Boeing is number 1. He's one of YTs crazy Certifiable Wackos & professional jerk-off who should be locked up forever!
@LottoWinner999 People do not believe this BOACMach2 guy his figures and comments do not add up He says one thing under one video and another under the next video. He cannot keep his story straight and nowhere does Airbus publish figures like he states
@prohelipilot1 its a known fact that BOAAMach2 AKA Darangyn is a compulsive liar & 24/7 Professional Jerkoff who has evaded law enforcement authorites. Eventaully the will catch him cuz its a matter of time before he presents himself to the emergency room for extreme blisters on tally-whacker. If he stopped playing with himself he might be able to put a sentence together but he's an Airbus Freakazoid whose gone around the bend never to return, we must pity him!
BOACHMach2 SUFFERS FROM SHOCK THAT BOEING IS NUMBER ONE
@prohelipilot1 Its obvious that BOACMach2 is suffereing from extreme shock that his "Prescious Airbus" is number and without he is one of the worst offenders who bragged that Airbus was the best. I kep telling that Boeing was stalking Airbus and it would be a short time before it happend. Boeing has over 640 sales in the week that increases their lead. If you check Boeing orders the Boeing 737-MAX sales are totally overwhemlming Airbus!
@LottoWinner999 Ha Ha Ha!..Go away Lottie, you're just boring and if I'm not mistaken are showing early signs of senility. But if it makes you feel that much better kidding yourself of reality, you go ahead. We'll do our best to restrain our laughter. Is prohelipilot1 your protege? You'll be pleased to hear he's sliding down that slippery slope as you did some time ago. Hope he's got a sense of humour cos he'll need it...lol! Off you go with that begging bowl now
@LottoWinner999 I don't need to call this BOACMach2 guy names, everything he says totally clashes with what Airbus says. Airbus states that the CO2 footprint of the A380 is 101g's for the American engined A380's and 109g's for the RR powered A380's and not the initial 75g's per pass mile that they had originally predicted. BOACMach2 is going to come up with all kinds of stories now but this from Airbus and Quoted from an Airbus spokesman
BOACHMach2 LOCKS HIMSELF IN HIS ROOM IN FIT OF DEPRESSION CUZ BOEING IS NUMBER ONE!
@prohelipilot1 Have you noticed since Boeing is number One in sales and deliveries that BOACMach2 has locked himself into his room crying a torrent of tears for his, "Precious Airbus". I hope he stays there forever and stops polluting YT with lies on how great Airbus was. BOACMach2 the Big Mouth that Roared is slient will he come back out of shames cuz he's a sore loser that can't accept BOEING IS NUMBER ONE?
@LottoWinner999 Sure Baldrick, I'm sitting in here truly devastated by this shock and of course everything you say is true, right? LOL!
I noticed you had posted comments thru the 10th anniversary of 9/11. You couldn't even put aside ONE day to remember all the victims of that heinous crime against not only the US, but humanity. You're a disgrace to the United States! I attended 2 services in London that day whilst you were posting and acting the typical waster. So much for your patriotism!
@BOACMach2 SEATTLE, Aug. 30, 2011 Boeing approved the launch of new engine variant of the market-leading 737, based on order commitments for 496 airplanes from five airlines. Re-engined 737 will allow Boeing to continue to deliver the most fuel efficient, most capable airplane with the lowest operating costs in the single-aisle market! This does not include100 Delta orders & 19 B-777 & Korean bought four 737s & thats a total of 619 orders for Boeing. UYMFA
@LottoWinner999 I read the Seattle article you sent. Let's put things in context! "Re-engined 737 will allow Boeing to continue to deliver the most fuel efficient, most capable airplane with the lowest operating costs in the single-aisle market". That statement was made by Albaugh (Boeing president/CEO) and as most industry analysts know, he likes to exaggerate the truth. In fact many airlines have already said his 7% more fuel efficient than the A320neo figure is "unrealistically optimistic".
@prohelipilot1 Much of what the world reads about Boeing right now is of a company lacking leadership and in disarray; being forced to make snap decisions rather than strategic ones. A company facing a serious loss of goodwill from its customers with the 3 year delays on the 787. I suggest you read the recent online article in the Economist titled "Boeing Woes" and referring to the 787 as the "Nightmareliner". Argue all you will, but the reality is Boeing are not the powerhouse they once were.
VOTE UP IF YOU THINK THE A380 IS THE BEST AIRLINER!!!

Folks, 787 has the most advanced cockpit system, the most fuel efficient, most environmentally friendly, most lightest & yet strongest composite material composed of, most quietest, best cabin air pressure/ air purification system, and most comfortable ride for passengers in any plane ever built so far. [with love from SanFrancisco]

this is an old video, anyone watching this should no longer compare these two, as the 747-800 is VERY soon being released...
jaffacake1578 5 months ago
It cost Airbus $12 billion to design A380. It cost Boeing $4 Billion to design 747-8. In spite of the money spent the 747-8 still ends up being more efficient in both passenger and cargo. There have been 50 orders for 747-8 Freighters in the past year while there have only been 10 for the A380 Freighter
prohelipilot1 5 months ago
I have yet to fly the A380. But I have spent so much time on the 747 and love it.
kkreicker1 5 months ago
Airbus has 236 orders for the A380 and have delivered 54 aircraft as of August 31st 2011 ( And they are all 20 tons over the predicted empty weight Airbus first told customers it would weigh. BOACMach2 and Whiteria have both told us they have sold alot more but hey people will go with what Airbus says. Now that I am invilved in this I know they will get mad and either attack me personally or Boeing because I called them on this
prohelipilot1 5 months ago
@prohelipilot1 BOACMac2 and his Gay Lover Whiteria cannot accept the fact that the A380 has to sell 500 to break even and with 53 built and their production of two A380s per-month it will be 2025 before the break even. In 4 more years the A380 will be obsolete and I predict that the A380 will be cancelled in 2 to 5 years because the A380 is a 16 Billion Euro-Debt concrete weight around Airbuses neck. The A380 is financial rathole and eventually Airbus will get tired of wasting money on shit!
LottoWinner999 5 months ago
@LottoWinner999 You are right more than once Airbus execs have said the plane is a mistake and if they had to do it over they would leave it at the drawing board, The plane is not going to even come close to breaking even and that will require another government bailout
prohelipilot1 5 months ago
With fewer seats and planes not full, journeys on the A380 will actually produce more carbon dioxide (per passenger, per km) than Ryanair or EasyJet flights, which fly fuller. When operating at 80 per cent capacity, a Singapore Airlines A380 will produce about 101g of CO2 emissions. Emirates and Qantas A380s will produce 106g and 109g respectively in their smaller configurations. This compares with an average of 97.5g for EasyJet and 98.6g for Ryanair
prohelipilot1 5 months ago
@prohelipilot1 What a blindingly obvious but equally pointless comment to make..lol! Of course a small, twin-engined charter airliner making journeys of 2-4hrs with passengers packed in like sardines is going to be “more efficient” & emit less CO2 than a luxury 4 engined liner travelling across the globe & where the focus is on comfort, space and maximizing the return on business & 1st class.

@LottoWinner999 why are you quoting years 2008 and 2009. Correct me if I am wrong but I thought it was 2011.
whitireia 6 months ago
@whitireia Baldrick (aka LottoLoser) has got nothing left, a spent force and Number 1 Boeing bum. He just can't face the reality that Boeing are losing year on year in terms of sales to Airbus. Their "cash cow", the vintage 737 has been trashed by the A320neo which as we know has racked up more sales in 9 months than the 787 has in 7years. The 7late7 already has more problems. The guy's e serial liar and welfare waster, we all know that. Even his own countrymen shun and laugh at the asshole.
BOACMach2 6 months ago
@whitireia Funniest of all was Balbrick's quote that "Hell will freeze over before AA buys Airbus again!" Broke Boeing were lucky to come away from that deal with anything at all. They expected to walk in and get the order no problem. According to press reports, their inept sales team were scurrying around at the end in an attempt to salvage some orders from AA. Quite rightly, they were given the scraps and relegated to 2nd place behind Airbus's 260 firm order plus options. Boeing are in decline

@MrWillydoit How do you know neither works in the aviation business? Being rude about folk you disagree with is a sure sign your argument, whatever that may be, is weak.
LottoWinner999 7 months ago

BOACMach2 9 months ago 2
@julesgymnast I'm saying that faults occur on all airliners, be they electrical, hydraulic, pump, engine etc.etc. It is utter nonsense for you to imply these things are regular occurances. You do whatever you can to scrape the barrel and it shows. Desperately trying to find something wrong. What next..a a vdu that has blown, a seat that doesn't recline. You are a waste of space. The issues of the 747 were brought up to show you all aircraft have issues. I thought that was obvious.
BOACMach2 9 months ago
@julesgymnast there was no electrical fire the other day. It happened earlier this year Jan 31st 2011 to be exact. These things happen and are expected in such as new airliner that has only been in service for four years.

BOACMach2 6 months ago
@LottoWinner999 We now know why Boeing never committed to remodelling a year ago. BOEING HASN'T GOT THE CASH TO SUPPORT THE PROJECT. It's screwed with delays to the 787 (and now 787-9) leading to compensation claims of some $5B. Not only that, they face court action from the IMO and NLRB and have been told that if they open the 2nd assembly line in S.C., the workers in Everett, Renton etc. will strike. ANZ are threatening to cancel their 787-9 orders due to more delays. The list just goes on lol
BOACMach2 6 months ago

LottoWinner999 6 months ago
@LottoWinner999 Face the facts, Boeing are losing credibility worldwide and are getting their asses whipped year in, year out where sales are concerned. Airbus trounced them at the PAS and have sold 1209 A320neos in the space of 9months. It has taken Boeing 7 YEARS to sell 827 of the "wonderful" 7late7. The A320 will surpass the 737 as the world's most popular aircraft within the next 2-3years. Boeing have had 8800 orders for the 737 over 44years, the A320 7692 over 23years. Go figure asshole!

@LottoWinner999 Re the 777 purchases. Have you seen the internet headlines? "Aeroflot buys cheap Boeings". That just about sums it up. Boeing have stopped being a business and become a charity.

@cheesemaster1000 You forgot to add the 494 orders from five airlines and than add the 100 from Delta and 40 ALFCOM and about 100 777 orders from five different airlines so your off about 730 Boeing orders which puts Boeing over a 1100 orders and than add for your being dishonest add another 100 that makes 850 orders and that makes Boeing orders at 1240 planes versus Airbus 370. 2011. Do you really think these are fantastic numbers?
prohelipilot1 5 months ago
@prohelipilot1 Ok let's not beat around the bush. You're right 236 orders for 10 1/2 years is not great, and if you look at a cost-benefit analysis between the A380 and 747-8, the -8 probably has seen the biggest % return on investment. But that said, when the 747 was launched in the 60's sales didn't exactly take off until the late 70's. Growth in the Far East will push A380 sales up over the next 20 years.
Do you think Boeing's 2011 sales figures are "fantastic"?
cheesemaster1000 5 months ago
@cheesemaster1000 No I do not think they are fantastic, they are increasing though and Airbuses sales of other models are doing alright. My own thing with theA380 is it weighs more than it is supposed to and it drinks alot of fuel to go 8'000 N M . when you add the 320,000 ltrs odf fuel it requires to do these trips it leaves under 100,000 lbs for payload. So they need to get the weight down some and/or the efficiency up some for a good payload
prohelipilot1 5 months ago
@prohelipilot1 You are very right! Payload can be as low as 100,000 lbs, but realistically how many routes will be 8,000 nm in length? For instance LHR-NRT is just over 5,000 and LHR-SIN is just over 6,000.
cheesemaster1000 5 months ago
@cheesemaster1000 It is true alot of the flights will be shorter but then why not use short haul aircraft and they are now saying that they are having trouble keeping the plane 80% full, but the airport landing fees do not go down when your plane is not full so you still pay the airport landing fees for an aircraft of that size and with empty seats you don't have the revenue coming in. I remember reading in the 1970's that the runway fees at CYYZ for a 747 were over $7000.oo
prohelipilot1 5 months ago
@prohelipilot1 I'm actually quite well acquainted with landing expenses, I've got a lot of information from both LHR and LGW because I was thinking about starting an airline. Landing fees are split into three main categories light aircraft (Under 8 tonnes), Mid-Sized aircraft (under 75 tonnes) and Heavy aircraft 75 tonne +. But obviously every airport has its own boundaries. At LHR, for example, a Heavy landing slot costs around £2,000 off peak and about £3,000 for peak times (10:00-16:00).
cheesemaster1000 5 months ago
@cheesemaster1000 I did not know that the landing expenses was done that , I thought it was a different figure for each aircraft ( but my info on that was real old anyway ) thanks for the update on that.
prohelipilot1 5 months ago
@prohelipilot1 I guess each airport does their own thing. From what I've seen it's the norm here in Europe to have one price for everyone. Although, as I've just found out, some American airports do do things slightly differently, so you were not wrong.
I just checked the tariffs for JFK and LGW. At LGW they have 3 bands, 'Less than 16 metric tonnes' 'Less than 50 metric tonnes' and 'Greater than 50 metric tonnes'. Peak time 'Greater than 50 metric tonnes' comes in at £1,589.85 per landing.
cheesemaster1000 5 months ago
@prohelipilot1 Yet at JFK they sell landing slots by the lbs. It is currently $1.20 per 1000 lbs of the maximum takeoff weight, so for instance it would cost $603 to land a 787-800 and $1500 to land an A380.
It's actually a wonder LCC's haven't started charging for passengers to use the lavatories, it costs £50 each time to remove waste water at LGW. Then airlines have to pay to get clean water pumped onboard as well.
Literally anything the airports can charge for, they will.
cheesemaster1000 5 months ago
@prohelipilot1 So essentially you pay the same to land a 757 as you would a A380 (a kind of 1 size fits all approach).
Although the 737-600 is actually under 75 tonnes so it fits in the Mid-Sized category whereas the 737-700 and A320 are in the large/heavy category.
Another revenue earner the airports have is the "charge per passenger", I think at LHR its something like £15 per passenger, LGW about £12 and smaller airports about £4.
cheesemaster1000 5 months ago
@prohelipilot1 One thing airlines can do is reduce seating capacity (increase seat pitch and/or add more FC/Bus class seats), once they've reduced seating capacity they can bump up the fare prices. Which is what many airlines are doing with the A380.
cheesemaster1000 5 months ago
@cheesemaster1000 I agree with you there

@prohelipilot1 I mean take Korean Air, for example, they only operate 74 more seats on their A380s (407) than they do on their new 747-400 configuration (333). Yet the A380 has 49% more floor space meaning it should really have 163 more seats (496) than their 747's.
With these numbers we can see the A380 cabin is more spacious and I would presume the fare price reflects this. So when you struggle to fill a plane, lower seats and put up fares.

prohelipilot1 5 months ago
@prohelipilot1 From what I have seen elsewhere, you clearly dont know how airlines calculate their fuel requirements. What's the point of fuelling an aircraft to fly 8000nm if its only going to fly 6000nm as has been pointed out by cheesemaster1000 to you already. That makes no commercial sense whatsoever and would merely eat into the trip profit margin. It takes fuel to fly fuel, remember. Why would any airline choose to fly with unnecessary "dead weight"? I would have thought that obvious.
BOACMach2 4 months ago
@BOACMach2 Look you idiot, I never said they fill the plane to full capacity to fly a 6,000 N M flight ( that is you spreading bullshit again ) I said that when filled to full capacity to fly an 8,200 N M trip it has a payload ( passengers, luggage, crew ) of 102,000 lbs. So watch your mouth

@IIproductionsII Do you even know how to read or do you just look at pictures? I am going to say this again because your real stupid " The A380 is not doing to well as far as sales are concerned " and as far as original projections go they thought they would have sold over 800 aircraft by 2011

@prohelipilot1 It seems you've got more issues with the A380 than the airlines have.

BOEING SELLS 496 737-MAXS IN ONE SWOOP

@LottoWinner999 Unfortunately those 496 737 MAX's are just 'commitments' and not firm orders! The only confirmed customer is American Airlines.
