This is like an episode of the outer limits where this robot found his creator dead and crushed under a shelf and was accused of murdering him. So he repeated in court "I did not kill him" or something like that, later he sort of cheated his execution because they didn't believe him so. Instead he saved a little girl from a car and got hit.
