No American death is worth an emerging democracy elsewhere.

Conservative used to mean something other than a politician that likes to mention GOD & abortion whenever possible, today that isn't true.
It used to mean a person that believed in smaller government controlled by the limitations of the Constitution, today that isn't true.
Conservatives used to understand the need for limited use of the military (reference Reagan after the barracks bombing in Beirut) around the globe not endless war.

Not to preserve a way of life or to describe your religious beliefs or waste as much energy as you want because you can. I really like the way you interview people, the way it's supposed to be done, where you ask a question and actually let the other person answer. If they had only allowed that same basic fair principle of journalism in Ron Pauls TV appearences he might have taken the election.

But, on the other hand, wow. The Iraq War was obviously not a legal war. The right to trial is integral to putting the government's monopoly on the use of force under objective control--meaning that removing trials, juries, or habeas corpus under any circumstances violates not just the legal terms of the Constitution but also the underlying philosophy of the Declaration of Independence. No American death is worth an emerging democracy elsewhere.

I only wished we had our own Southern Avenger in North Carolina. This election we are faced with a choice between Richard Burr and Elaine Marshall or so all the news would have you believe. The Libertarian candidate is listed as some other candidate in the polls. Michael Beitler the Libertarian is an Economic Professor probably too smart for most people to consider.
