  • yeah, it sounds muddy way down the octave on bass, so that's why I'm taking the tapping approach here

  • never seeen it played like that usualy it played finger style

  • cooooooooooooooool

  • amazing

  • thanks for listening!

  • GREAT VID!!!

i was wonderin how to do that on bass and i see thats how its done!!!

    again great vid!!!

  • thanks BaconTheGreat!

  • thanks Hardcore1507, yeah, that's a fun one. I've got a miniaturized version that I can do live, not the whole piece, but it's an exciting little snippet.

  • thats such a good song.

and to hear it tapped on a bass is amazing.

    really good so far!

  • awesome! LOL - I seem to be following ur track. I just started on this song today and I find it on ur profile on the same day. very nice. I did get the EABC and thomastics too. Thanks for the vids. we seem to like similar songs. peace

  • sweet man, post some videos of your Dean, great bass huh?

  • for the price, absolutely! The strings make it even better. I just got it back from the shop and still dont like the action 12+ frets. Tapping is not as comfortable as I would like it to be. Overall, nice BIG bass(maybe a little too big for me).

Maybe (since u play cello or something) ur hands are much stronger than mine - man, u make it seem soooo easy, u r great!

  • Great bass, I go to Guitar Center and play all the EAB's and I still think this one has the most sound out there.

The action is a bit high, but that should make for some good cross training work--when you get back on your regular electric it should feel amazing.

Re. my playing, you are too kind. Tapping on this bass does require you to hit really hard. Drop me an email bentorrey AT hotmail and I can suggest a few things in that area.

  • very impressive technique.four finger righteousness !!

  • thanks Naut! Yeah that Dean EAB does pretty well acoustically. That's no amp at all with a junky little built in mic on my digital cam, so not bad considering.

  • sounds great, i liked that.
