I think it's weird that people are saying they didn't film Fred's death because Oilver Phelps couldn't handle it. James Phelps actually spoke to the people about it after they cut it out of the script. He wanted it in there, but they agreed to give Fred and George a moment to "make up" for the lost death scene..No matter how great that tower scene between them was, it didn't make up for the death we should have seen.
There is an interview on youtube with him talking about it.
I understand that they have to cut out a fair amount of material, and I'd be okay with that if we were getting everything that was cut. Mainly, I'm pissed that we have nothing more of the Prince's Tale, or of Harry revealing Severus' true alliance. Of all the scenes to leave off the DVD...smh.

I know of the guy who plays Percy and apparently he did the whole scene with him returning and fred dying. But they didn't include it for some stupid reason! Bastards!!

@Karnezar they were locked up cause McGonagal (i forgot how to spell her name) told filch to put them in the dungeons. I think he took it literally. They were probably let out by the explosion, Draco's not even supposed to apparate in, since people can't do that and the barrier wasn't even broken at that time. There needs an extended version of Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows. Both movies put together WITH all deleted scenes both on and not on the DVDs. It'll be like the Lord of the Rings extended editions.

@AnimeStargrl15 Most of them fought along side Voldemort though......very few fought for Hogwarts but yeah some did come back. Its funny though because Pansy Parkinson is the one who suggested they hand over Harry. In the scene when all the students were gathering outside to see if Harry really was dead, Pansy can be seen standing by some other student in the background, so she obviously stayed but whether or not she fought idk.
I know, but it just angers me because not all Slytherins are bad. I was sorted into Slytherin in Pottermore, and I'm not a bad person. I hate it when people discriminate Slytherins. We're not evil; just ambitious. Pansy is a bitch. Slytherin house could do without her, Crabbe, Goyle, and Blaise. Draco, I think was never truly evil.

At the very least they should have had the ron/hermione, harry/ginny and remus/tonks scene. FIRSTLY the remus/tonks scene. i have no idea why that did not end up in the movie. it's not like it would have added a ridiculous amount of time onto the movie.
Hopefully Warner Bros will re-release this in theatres, to push it's overseas gross to 1 billion. That least scene was hilarious. Should not have been deleted.

@Onigiri2007 Or, you know, the wards were completely destroyed when the Death Eaters started attacking with Voldemort. Plus in HBP, Dumbledore said being able to apparate in and out of the school was a perk of being the headmaster.
@PadfootProngs7 I'm not sure if it matters if the wards are destroyed. It's a protection spell surrounding the school. Also in the movie Dumbledore can apparate but in the book he can't. In HBP Dumbledore had to walk to Hogsmeade to apparate. They didn't want to do that in the movie because it'll take too long.
They should of included these scenes plus more because you could tell whilst watching this movie that many scenes were cut out or could of been added but weren't. This movie is in desperate need of a directors cut. Could of been longer aswell considering this was the last movie. Those are some of the reasons why this movie losses points.

@AngelWitch93 Chris Columbus did do good with the first two movies but he can't make the movie dark enough. His movies are more family oriented whereas family time is over with deathly hallows so Columbus would not be able to do a good job with it. They should of brought Alfonzo who directed the third movie. He has a way of making dark and grim movies whilst keeping the movies tone alive but dark at the same time. This movie really needs a directors cut and needs to be alot darker and scarier.

@Etkar2008 this isn't all of the deleted scenes. These are just the ones that will appear on the regular dvd. There are still some new ones that will be on the 3 disc set.

@Onigiri2007 he wasnt in the school, he didnt go that year. so he apparated into the school, which is possible, but he didnt apparate within the school :)

@Onigiri2007 i dunno what msharrypotter is saying but you can't apparate or disapparate in & out of hogwarts in it or not, otherwise the death eaters could've at any time apparated in dumbledore's office and killed him, right?. i think they ignored that rule in the movies, & u can c in HBP harry and dumbledore dissappate out of hogwarts at one scene (so as not to put michael gambon on a broom presumably), same as they ignored the whole harry can do non-verbal spells thing, same as alot of things

@MsMiRaMaR00 yeah I was thinking the same thing. There's no way people can apparate in the school or what's the point of the vanishing cabinet that Draco worked so hard on to fix. But thanks for the answer. I guess they did that so it'll be easier for the film makers to make the movie.

@Onigiri2007 Or, you know, the wards were completely destroyed when the Death Eaters started attacking with Voldemort. Plus in HBP, Dumbledore said being able to apparate in and out of the school was a perk of being the headmaster.

@PadfootProngs7 I'm not sure if it matters if the wards are destroyed. It's a protection spell surrounding the school. Also in the movie Dumbledore can apparate but in the book he can't. In HBP Dumbledore had to walk to Hogsmeade to apparate. They didn't want to do that in the movie because it'll take too long.

They should of included these scenes plus more because you could tell whilst watching this movie that many scenes were cut out or could of been added but weren't. This movie is in desperate need of a directors cut. Could of been longer aswell considering this was the last movie. Those are some of the reasons why this movie losses points.

@ecartman12 I agree. Even the last Pirates of the Caribbean movie {World's End] lasted longer than DH2, plus the battle was more epic as well. Yates is the laziest director I've ever known. Chris Columbus should have directed this instead! he made the first two movies so perfectly:(

@AngelWitch93 Chris Columbus did do good with the first two movies but he can't make the movie dark enough. His movies are more family oriented whereas family time is over with deathly hallows so Columbus would not be able to do a good job with it. They should of brought Alfonzo who directed the third movie. He has a way of making dark and grim movies whilst keeping the movies tone alive but dark at the same time. This movie really needs a directors cut and needs to be alot darker and scarier.

@ecartman12 that's true. I guess Alfonzo would have been a good choice. I agree with having a directors cut as well. They should release all of the movies as directors cuts and show every deleted scene. Goblet of Fire had tons of deleted scenes that weren't even on the DVD.
