@SuperJay2cool I think in Johnny's prime (around 2003) he was possibly the best 10 ever to occur. Yet now he's getting fairely old for rugby, he has had alot of surgery and numerous injuries and he's slowly fadeing.

Now, Dan Carter nowadays is arguably the best 10, i am guilty of agreeing to this. But i still beleive in his prime years, Johnny was the best to ever occur. Yet it's hard to deny Johnny is still a better tackler.

@thatonekid722 if you look at johny wilkinsons highlights compared to dan carter highlights carter is alot more skilled. he has more of an all round game with 29 tries compared to wilkinson on 7. dan carter overtook wilkinsons record on points with fewer tests. in 2003 wilkinson was the best fly half but in all honesty all i remember of him was his drop goals and after the world cup havent seen him up against a good fly half!!!

I'm English, and I think your assessment is pretty accurate. Bottom line is, if you could have one in your team which one would it be, and my answer is Carter every time. I think there is very little to choose between them defensively and for place kicking, but Carter is a whole level better both at running and bringing other runners into play. Its actually common sense how hes kicking, Alot of college kickers kick like this in NZ. He gets good weight right under the ball, keeping the whole leg straight! use the hips as a pivot, The accuracy of the kick also comes from keeping the upper body dead flush in line with the goals including shoulders. The power comes from the lower body lean.

I roll over my ankle, it happens because if you come from a wide angle to the ball, your kicking leg will get a bigger loop/backswing while opening up the hardest part of the instep to the ball, but you can't drive through enough.
