I know Buddy Holly then Paul McCartney covered this song before Terry Jacks but I personally think this version is the best. Paul McCartney is my favorite of all time. I feel like a hypocrite!. Hahahaha. Terry Jacks is EXTREMELY underrated!.

most of the production was by Terry Jacks, this one is actually produced by Norman Petty with Joe B. Mauldin (bassist) and Niki Sullivan (guitarist/backvocalist) for McCartney Music Inc.
