  • Over here in Bakistan, the sunlight is so much that one can half cook an egg on a black car ! I'm working on a Stirling Engine project....

  • this is a good work! How you make this mirror (with maylor or what?)

  • Dan, u r really doing amazing work!!!

    i have a question!!!

Have u ever tried concentrating sun rays using an anodized aluminium sheet (like specular reflex by ALMECO-TINOX).....

  • How about concentrating the sun and using it on NANO Solar panel?

  • LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL I can't believe you walked in front of a death ray and survived!!!!!

  • Dan, a helpful video would be showing the fiberglass sheet you started out with, how you formed it into a parabola and how you attached (and how viewers can get) the Part A material. This is what I'm waiting on. Thanks!

  • what a retard

  • Hmm.. I see the Overunity website will not let you 'search' unless you register. Overunity is extremely interesting, and super smart people post there. But I wouldn't wish a forced registration on anyone.

See the site when you can because many more links are posted there, (if you do the mentioned search.)

For now, here is the address of the 80% efficient peltier generator: P O W E R C H I P S dot G I Once there, on the left of the home page, navigate to: "Technology/Power Calculator"

  • The "Peltier Device" converts heat from the parabolic dish directly into electricity. The Peltier Device is Solid State. A company is now claiming 80% efficiency with their Peltier Device!

This means 'Several Thousand Watts' from a small parabolic dish! Plenty of power for your home or RV!

    Youtube is censoring me!

    Goto: O V E R U N I T Y dot C O M and search: "Parabolic Dish" to find the links to the High Efficiency Peltier Device/Thermal Electric Generator.

    Google: "Peltier" as well.

  • Soon, efficiency will approach 100% Google: "Aerogel Peltier" It is possible to achieve 80% conversion efficiency TODAY. People, Wake Up! TODAY, Tell the "grid" to go screw themselves! Will the mass media cover this story? No! The bought off, mass media, government controlled, propaganda machine Will Not cover this story.

    We are on Our Own.

Thank You Dan, For All your research.

  • I own a lighter, now what else can these do? Every video you just burn sticks. Love watchin though

  • You Must be careful Not to look at it in certain locations, I know. Please come see my video Greenpowerscience, I show the potential in measurement, with just a small-medium Parabolic mirror. I got Over 500 Degrees F. With Proof. Please accept my video response friend. I know it's not as good as yours, but I think it is another good way to show the strength of these things =) Though, there's much stronger than mine out there, it is still impressive.

  • I really like your vids... a more practical approach than most people have. Though... I just do not understand why you did not use this "parabolic" mirror insteat of the black hose to heat water. It would require a bit of wiring and a step motor, but it would be great and it seems it could be really efficient. I was surfing a bit and a factory actually uses this approach to power a steam generator... that means preheating water to the boiling point.

  • not playing

  • it burns the crap out of you ( Laughs)

  • Liked how the reflector became a defuser near the end( Laughs)

  • How did you get the plexiglass into a parabolic shape?

  • This one is actually fiberglass. It was molded that way, we have other videos on thermoforming acrylic.

  • Do not look to the sun spot, cause can damage you eyes, your retina.

  • So, basically, a parabolic mirror is better, since it produces the same results, but costs a lot less.

  • sorry, that was for the next video in this playlist. i got mixed up which one was which.

  • a race :) Calor gas cooker vs fresnel lens for making equal size cooking pots and water levels reach 100 degrees? which would win?

  • That would be a great video. Gas is pretty fast:-)

  • maybe at 1pm during ozzy summer time? :) either way these lens's are truly amazing and videos so very inspiring. 10/10 for green power science!

  • Thank you:-)

  • The problem is that solar panels take about 30%, in eficiency, and steaming engines takes just 40%. In theory steaming engige could get almost 100%, but no device ever came close to that, and most take just 35% to 40%.

  • Walking in front of a 2500F focus point tells me you are out of control and should consider another hobby.

  • How can you apply this to everyday living with burning your house down?

  • That is why one should never be placed within 10' of a structure and the area should be fire proof (rock etc.) Treat it like an outdoor BBQ grill. Most are for experiments right now. The idea would be larger scale and for steam or heating.

  • Instead of using epoxy or polister resin for

    fiberglass -use TiteBond wood glue-

Its Much cheaper -water proof- strong -

no funky fumes and small things can be

    force dried in a microwave-

    Try it--Jay--

  • How about a temperature reading? Are we talking 1000+ degrees Fahrenheit

  • What could I do with one of the old satellites that are about 5 feet in diameter?

  • Great work....

How did you manage to get parabolic shape on tha t rectangular sheet?..

  • Thank you, This one came that way, I am trying to copy the shape and make it more rigid. I would estimated this has about $25 in fiberglass and resin.

  • ok hot shot....now use that energy to produce electricity by connecting your contraption to a generator. by the way, this is a multi billion dollar idea if you can pull it off in a way that every houshold in the world can use it....and youd put the electric company out of business.

  • You should get an agent, if you don't have one already. You and your woman could have a great Television show, get the word out to a broader public. Anything in he works??? I hope so, if not consider this a bug in your ear.

  • hehehe the parabolic mirror revenge!

  • Good stuff as usual, loved the ending lol!

  • Neat. Where can I find the materials to make a parabolic dish like that?

  • I smell burnt hair and wood. lol Ow!

We don't need no stinkin matches...haha!

  • Half tan like Close Encounters of the Third Kind. "He looks like a 50/50 bar". Glad you are sharing some bloopers of things to watch out for. Keep up the fantastic videos.

  • Damn Dan, be careful!

  • Thank you, it just got really warm. I am not use to the longer focal length. I will not do that again......I hope:-)

  • Sunglasses should always be worn near parabolics because of the danger of retina burn from being flashed. One should never ever approach a parabolic in the front, it can cause permanent eye damage and blindness.

Parabolics should be used with extreme care and ALWAYS with eyeprotection.

Great video, but everyone needs to understand, these things can and WILL blind you.

  • First view O_o
