  • i admit palin is an idiot, but doesn’t atheism lead to the rejection of objective truth claims? If so how is Dostoevsky’s claim "if god is not, anything is permissible”, not accurate? i think this is why so many people are more attracted to her seemingly absurd policies than products of a pragmatic- atehistic scholastic machine. These products just reek of a lack of resepct for humanity above the individual.

  • George ROCKS

  • the only criticism of Bush I disagree with is the criticism of his statement that he looked into Putin's soul and trusted him. It may have been a clumsy way of saying it, but it was also a necessary thing that Bush and Putin develop a relationship, for the sake of world peace, and we on the left should have left it alone.

  • everyone here seems to be arguing economics? what about the video? Hello.....McCain? i did not vote for BO, and I held my nose when I voted for McCain....looking back now, even with OB's sad performance and leftist bent, I'm still not sure that McCain had the wits to be a leader....WTF is wrong with the republicans that they can't find/pick a valid candidate to run up against the dem's? the conservatives in this country need to find a place of their own...

  • McCain needs a makeover. The cadaver look in out of fashion

  • "Spread it [the wealth] around" versus

"Spread the wealth around' - yes, that's rewriting history.

Like saying "You're rewriting it [the history". A complete fabrication and willful twisting of facts.

    Youtube should disallow paraphrasing! Yes!!!

  • hey if you want to throw a snitty fit about what you wrote, with "the wealth" specifically in parenthesis, throw away!

you wrote it as if you were paraphrasing "IT" to mean 'the wealth'

when in fact, no paraphrasing was necessary

he said 'spread the wealth around'

    thats unamerican

  • If Sarah Palin was the GOP presidential candidate, George Will would support her 100%.

He doesn't care about America, just the crooked GOP.

  • Will was mesmerized by the man who loves to visit Nazi cemetaries and fire war heros like North. If someone doesn't say "THere y' go again"...he gets nervous.

  • you are one pathetic libtard parrot

    "loves to visit Nazi cemetaries?"

    ROFL

i guess we should just forget all cemetaries exist

as if Reagan didnt visit Normandy, or Arlington... no, to you only "the good guys" deserve a visit. not like Germany is an ally now LOL@U

and you stretch like a contortionist

with MORE parroting of lies - "RR tax cuts for the very wealthy"

anyone who is HONEST says Reagan cut taxes across the board

Reagans popularity was LOW when he won in landslide in 84? ROFL

  • I hesitate to say it, but please google REAGAN BITBURG. You might see some comic books or conspiracy sites but the facts are compelling. That visit was ill-conceived. The SS were *not* pushed into service! They were an elite, slf-motivated group.

Again, I hesitate to recommend books to U, but try Hitler's Willing Executioners.

  • His popularity was comparatively low. He was still "popular" but a strong Dem. team coulda gave hima run 4 his money.

  • i guess if you mean winning 2 states out of 50 being a "run 4 his money" instead of the 1 state Mondale did win

well i guess you could count that as a 'run for his money'

    lmao

  • Mondale & Ferraro were bad news. RR would have still won but a guy like Gary Hart (I know, I know) with a conservative VP choice would have made it a little more interesting.

In 1988, as messed up as Dukakais' campaign, got him 113 electoral votes.

RR was undeniably popular, but some of that lustre was gone - alot of people said "how I am gonna pay for this house?".

  • What's a "libtard"? I would guess that even Foxnews or Limbaugh wouldn't use a term like that? Then why would U?

I didn't expect U to, but have you researched the differenc between SS and those very (pause) *misunderstood* foot soldiers?

Hitler knew that the German people - at that time - were deeply anti-semitic & he and Gobbels used that in their military program which the population genrally accepted!

Another point: I asked U if U thought RR's Beirut policy was a success. Haig didn't.

  • @Zaxxon2008 Reagan RAISED taxes. Get a fact.

  • @finerbiner Reagan cut income tax rates for everybody

    there's the fact you requested

  • @Zaxxon2008 Then raised taxes in order to"save " social security. There is the fact that you don,t like so pretend to be unaware of.

Here is a "fact" for you. Any person who thinks they can blame one political party for all of our spending and policy problems while exempting the other party, is a complete non-thinking fool.

  • @finerbiner i missed where i "blame one political party for all of our spending and policy problems while exempting the other"

maybe i missed it because i never asserted such

so Reagan tried to "save social security"... big fuckin deal. same mistake every president has made the last 40 yrs. it CAN'T be saved

i'm just glad you could admit the truth... Reagan cuts taxes for everybody. and that's a start

  • @Zaxxon2008 I'll give you the parties thing as I won't be reading all your posts.

"Reagan cuts taxes for everybody and that's a start". True

    Start of run away deficits

Start of an even further escalation of military spending

Start of trickle down economics(complete failure as an economic theory)

Start of financial deregulation that eventually led to our current crisis.

Corporatist politicians are the problem, not LIBTARDS or CONSERVAPEDOPHILES.

  • @finerbiner "runaway deficits?" deficits came down when the economy bounced back

escalation of military spending was necessary as Carter slashed our military. it also led to the fall of the USSR, which couldn't compete with our wealth

"trickle down economics" started under JFK - "A rising tide lifts all boats." and it works!

why is it people dont think wealth would 'trickle down' from tax cuts, but somehow think wealth WILL 'trickledown' from tax increases?

  • as if the wealthy wont just pass the costs of tax increases on down the line? surrrrrrre! lol they'll just bend over and take a tax hike up the pooper

or might they pass those costs down to the rest of us in the form of higher prices, lower wages, and fewer/lower raises

no, libtards think tax cuts for the wealthy mean the rich stash all their gold in a Scrooge McDuck silo-vault & swim in it. like it never gets spent

  • @Zaxxon2008 Deficits came down during the Clinton adm. with the help of the "contract with America".

People don't think "trickle down" works because it doesn't. The only group to gain any real wealth since the 1970's is the top 1/4 of 1%.

We live if a corporatist society. If we could have "free" markets the rest would fall into place. We don't. We have markets rigged to the advantage of multi-national corporations with the American public as host to the corporate parasite.

    Blue & red are guilty

  • @finerbiner i wont argue with you on the corporatist politician thing because i agree

but trickle down does work. and deficits fell under Clinton, but i was making note of how deficits fell during Reagan as well. and Reagan 'inherited' a recession with worse stats than the current one.

  • @finerbiner - the middle class grew in the 80's & 90's, and the number of NEW millionaires grew as well. and the % of the population in poverty fell.

the top 1% will get richer regardless of what u do to them because at that level they are untouchable. its the other 5 - 10% that are considered "wealthy" and are millionaires that do the real work and employ people/grow new businesses

  • and talk about idiotic supposed "reasoning" when you cry - "He was very successful & impressive for much of his 1st term, got Congress focused. Maybe it was his cancer, the assassination attempt...second term a failure"

    WTF???

his was shot in his first year in his first term

cancer was merely removing pollops, nothing more. no chemo. he was back in charge later the SAME DAY

AMAZING how you blame Repub Congress for spending under Bush, but NOT blame Democrap Congress spending during Reagan

  • I do blame the Dem. congress under RR and the GOP congress *in part*. A President is paid to lead. Overspending Congress and poor Economic policy by the new adm. leaves us all in trouble.

The GOP said that Clinton's surplus came from Reagan somehow; that Bush II's initial dwonturn was Clinton's fault.

DEms and GOP love to spend. Don;t assume anyone (me) is not Independent/Conservative.

  • A man in his 70s does not get over taking a bullet(s) too fast.

Pollops? I'll take your word 4 it - but I believe he also had skin cancer & colon cancer. I'll check.

My point is: his second term was a failure because most likely he was no longer up for the job or he simply wasn't the President the country hoped for - detaching himself from "the turkeys" as he put it.

He really should have resigned - although maybe Nancy's astrologist said that was not a good idea.

  • and you continue to re-write history by misquoting B. Hussein Obama

    B. Hussein Obama did NOT say "spread it [the wealth] around"

    B. Hussein Obama DID say - "spread the wealth around"

he didnt HINT AT redistributing wealth

    he flat out said it

funny how we never heard Reagan say he inherited the awful economy Carter passed along

and didnt hear W Bush say he inherited the recession Clinton passed along

and didnt hear Clinton say he inherited the recession HW Bush passed along

  • The economy that Obama inherited was by the worst in history; maybe Reagan's economy was worse. I'll leave that one to you. On second thought, Bush IIs was worse. Unprecedented need to *act*!!

Obama said it "flat out". So what. |The GOP wants to build a cathedral around a phrase used on the campaign trail - propaganda at its' most sophisticated.

  • before I get gotcha'd 4 no good reason, ys, FDR inherited the worst economy. To

repeat, Obama inherited something alot worse than what was offered to Bush I and Clinton - a near depression on top of the Iraqi war pushed by those lovable slam-dunk Bushmen; high crime as a result of non-enforcement of immigration policies (Dems & GOP to blame) & healthcare in crisis.

Like FDR ("that Socialist!!"), he had to take drastic measures. Yes, he keeps pointing to Bush II - but the context is relevant.

  • "The economy that Obama inherited was by the worst in history; maybe Reagan's economy was worse"

Reagan "inherited"(such a stupid premise) a worse economy

higher interest rates, higher unemployment, higher "misery index," higher tax burden on public & corporations

being an "independent" just means you want to be courted by both sides... to feel important

you either have a core set of beliefs that are stronger to one side or the other

"independent" may as well mean lonely

  • Speaking of the 4 trillion dollar debt , S & L scandal, trade deficit, still broken air-traffic controller system, he mishandled, left to Bush I and Clinton.

Yes, Carter's was pretty bad - very high inflation, high unemploy., gov't waste, etc. But the oil embargo was one of the worst things a President had to contend with.

  • yeah, MSNBC sometimes IS a joke ... but likewise so is FOX.

When networks bend over backwards to present ONLY the extreme left or extreme right views they have lost all credibility in my opinion.

  • Well stated! Thank U! I prefer MSNBC bias - at least they are literate & funny. Fox presents insufferable Murdoch memo parrots.

  • Of course they are. I hope you're someone who hates them on principle, however, and not because you are a FOX news fan. If you are, then you are a hypocrite of the worst kind. All news is a joke.

  • Well stated! Sadly, this is true. When we need the press to be the monitor of a free society, they pander to the lowest common denominator.

  • "Fox news fan"? Nope.

I watchd Fox alot up till about 3 years ago - got disgusted with the use of a cable station as a political headquarters for/Media wing of the RNC. And hannity's repetitions.

MSNBC is also very biased but at least there's some humour there and very literate hosts.

  • "MSNBC is also very biased but at least there's some humour there and very literate hosts"

yeah... hire a sportscaster who reads a teleprompter well means "literate?" LMAO!

or is it that he is 'well read' by blogging at Daily Kooks & takes his notes from ThinkProgress & MoveOn?

i dont find any hunor in any of MSNBCs hate-filled rants

  • Don't like Obermann's rants, though the actual content is pretty strong. In an imagined "open" debate (no ear-pieces, no teleprompter, no flash cards, or hand notes), with say, Sean H. & Greta VS, do U think Keith O. & Rachel M. would *lose*?

Fox's..are Murdoch memo parrots. MSNBC might use Media Mattrs, etc., more intelligent. Both biased, but I said I can take MSNBC's bias ovr Fox's-more literate & funnier, in my op. Gotta say, O'Reilly is funnier than Obermann & has a better format.

  • "In an imagined "open" debate (no ear-pieces, no teleprompter, no flash cards, or hand notes), with say, Sean H. & Greta VS, do U think Keith O. & Rachel M"

    well you nailed it there

Keith Olbermann is afraid to debate anyone. thats why he never has ANYONE on with an opposing viewpoint

Rachel does. i give her that

as for "Hitler knew that the German people - at that time - were deeply anti-semitic"

i see similarities in that and Obama and "fat cat bankers"

  • But Obama does not want to put Bankers in ovens.

  • right

because if Obama puts bankers in ovens, he cant steal their money

and we certainly dont get much tax revenue from the poor or middle class

  • Something tells me you're not adverse to painting Hitler mustaches on Obama posters?

  • you said nothing when they were on Bush posters

    so why cry now?

    pussy

  • The idea of painting a Hitler mustache on a President's photo should leave anyone over 14 speechless. Don't recall seeing that idiocy but if I did I'm sure I said nothing, just shook my head.

Regarding the "p" word - please look at the PC monitor, not the mirror when you do a youtube comment.

  • "Don't recall seeing that idiocy" (re-Bush posters with Hitler mustache)

    A- you are a liar

B- you are a FUCKING liar

C- you are a PATHETIC FUCKING liar

    or

D- you are deaf, blind, and dumb

i say its F- ALL OF THE ABOVE!!!

    BWAAHAHAHAHAAA

  • I said I "don't recall" but if I did I'd think it was idiotic. That's a little diffrent from "I never saw a Hitler mustache on a Bush poster". If I didn't one, I'm sure alot of people did, and I hope they remarked how juvenile and ignorant such a practice is.

(I prefer he-he-he to what you closed with).

  • @Zaxxon2008 Yeah fringe people on the left, but the Obama is Hitler characterization is mainstream on the right wing

  • "The idea of painting a Hitler mustache on a President's photo should leave anyone over 14 speechless"

You would think so. But it has been done so many times that it's lost any shock value it may have held 30 or 40 years ago.

  • I guess the "shock value" is left with the Concentration Camp survivors.

    Thanks.

  • @zaxxon2008. Olberman and Hannity are the same guy. Two shouting pussies. Kind of like you.

  • @finerbiner No, they're not actually. Olbermann is not a nutjob unlike Hannity, and I'm not even a fan. I'm just not into this false equivalency

  • @Janetvdl The comparison is spot on. Your bias skews your vision.Look into Olberman's repeated comments on Scott Brown and tell me he is not a raving lunatic.

  • Flyboymd82....I completely agree w/ya. Obermaddow koolaid drinkers unite! At least you can change this channel.

  • only msnbc? what about fox news?

  • notice how when a Republican criticizes a fellow Republican, it is EARTH SHATTERING "news" to MSNBC and its ilk. and yet you couldnt find a single Dem talking head willing to say that Obama, with clearly LESS Executive experience than Palin, wouldnt be up for the job?

and look where we are now... cant nominate anyone that doesnt break the law... cant tell us what the plan is for the economy... hell cant even spell "RESET" in Russian on that little tinker toy trinket they used for a photo op

  • Obama may have a shorter resume than Palin but I believe he knows the 3 Nafta states & that Africa is a continent.

It sounds like U are a Foxnews fan, where Obama vilification is the new mission statement.

Obama's eco. plan was/is problematic, but he saved the economy from complete ruin. He *had* to bail out banks & car companies.

Do U think Sarah Palin's more Presidential? By the way, did U hear her say she ran for VICE-President, not President?

  • i know you must definitely have proof/transcripts/video of Palin saying those things

Obama's economic plan isnt "problematic"... it is idiotic

you dont spend money you dont have, to not create jobs, and then 1 yr later say "everybody knows that SMALL BUSINESS is the ENGINE of job creation..." - all while raising taxes on anyone making $200k

    HELLO?!?! that IS small business!

all while claiming HIS plan "created 1mil new jobs" (incl 50 'employees' with the purchase of 1 lawnmower?)

  • Obama is nothing but a dunderheaded teacher who knows only theory and DOES NOT KNOW practical implimentation or reality

    he never ran a business

    he never ran a government

he has never been an executive in any capacity

he has never even had a job in the private sector

incredibly sad that america was sold a bill of rotten goods

thankfully, we learn quickly from our mistakes

  • His resume may be light, but not unimpressive. JFK, Quayle, NIxon, and a ton of others were not business people; Reagan was a totally corrupt President of the SAG and a decent Govrnor of CA - whre he should have stayed - he's an example of when a resume needs a second look.

Obama as Social Worker in a tough, urban setting is nothing to mock.

U been watchin' Fox news & the Obama vilification machine. Your comments straight out of Hannity's yellow pad with Murdoch's instructions.

  • "Obama as Social Worker"

    HA!

Obama wasnt EVEN a Social Worker

he was a goon who preyed on the poor & sucked up to the wealthy corrupt Chicago politicians

Reagan was a "totally corrupt President of the SAG"? WTF? where do you get THAT bullshit?

at least those you mentioned had experience

Obama was president tho... of the freakin Harvard Law Review. a fuckin student magazine for campus fucktards that like to see their name in print, as if that makes them "important"

    WHOOPDEE DOOOOO!!!

  • Read up on Reagan's years as Pres. of the SAG. (Also his laundry list of tragic blundrs, like planning visits to Nazi cemetaries; sending 250 marines to Beirut; Iran-Contra & firing of North; 4 trillion dollar debt...but what a resume!).Well, Obama may not have worked under the Civil Servic title of Social Worker but his community work was productive and sophisticated. Unlike your language.

  • so your response to a question of your statement is "read up on..."?

    fail

    $4tril debt?

Obama's got that beat in just 2 years, not 8

Obamas "community work was productive and sophisticated?"

    ROFL

its apparent that to you, anyone who actually KNOWS Obamas past & policies (which you clearly dont) are just "Murdoch's instructions"

so "Mudoch's Instructions" must be to know the history of the person who wishes to change your country

    you should try it

  • go to google: moldea: the corruption of ronald reagan

for the SAG reference. There's also a book called REAGAN GRAPHIC NOVEL, which details his SAG Presidency in a light but convicing way.

  • @ensconse HA! BWAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!!!! you claim Reagan was somehow a "corrupt SAG president" i ask you for your proof of this claim and your responses??? "Read up on..." and "go to google..." (for a conspiracy theorists website no less) and best of all, you reference a comic book A FUCKIN COMIC BOOK!!! ROFLMAO @ U BWAAAHAHAHAHAAAA!! 'ensconse' = the epitome of EPIC FAIL
  • "Comic book"? So that means the part about Reagan's SAG period is 1000% dismissable? "Conspiracy site"? Maybe...does that mean that 1000% of the info. is erroneous?

I'll get some more references, unless you want to goodle them yourself.

What a stretch, the demi-God Reagan making mistakes!

Did U like his Beirut policy?

He de-regulated us into the near crash of '87, then the 4 trillion dollar debt based upon Supply side: Did U read David Stockman's book? (Not a comic book).

  • $4trillion debt was based on Keynesian economics not Supply Side

if we hadnt been saddled with useless Medicare/Aid & Soc Security... not to mention the govt tax revenue INCREASED every single year Reagan was President

now i'm just saying, that maybe, JUST MAYBE if gvot didnt routinely spend BILLIONS more than it takes in...

well wouldnt that be a novel concept

figure that... Dem congress then, Dem congress now

trillions in debt over 8 years then

trillions in deficit in1 year now

  • Reagan admitted that his economic program was not a success. His man, Stockman, wrote a book about it.

Medicare and Soc. Sec. useless?...by the way RR signed *all* those bad

    Democratic bills.

Sure taxes revenues went up - and Reagan spent it like crazy; giving everything to Japan and England. "93 months of growth - great! Based upon his precise program of debt escalation.

By the way, that "comic book" is something called "comic" art, written by some of the best political writers of the day.

  • wait... so you admit that a Democrat Congress wrote all thise spending bills and passed them...

YET you wont give them credit for "...spent it like crazy; giving everything to Japan and England"

apparently all that was Reagans fault

so NOW your REwritten history is that Democrat Congress WANTED tax cuts, but Reagan WANTED INCREASED spending???

  • You're assuming I love Democrats. They surely messed up alot of things in this country. But RR *signed* those budgets!

He also increased the military budget right after Carter did - mistake. And his unecessary tax break for the very rich gave us a 56 billion dollar hole which took until Clinton to plug.

RR complained about "the other side" but he stopped *leading* . (1st term had alot of Dem. support). RR's second term was run by Nancy & theAstrologist.

    Read Stockman's book.

  • Carter did not "increased the military budget" thats absolutely silly "" HA! that old canaard "a rising tide lifts all boats" sucks for libs when a Repub Prez cuts taxes across the board. all they have left is the overall $ amount, which naturally even the smallest % for a wealthier person would be in more actual $ than a poorer person and again you try to have it both ways "(1st term had alot of Dem. support)" and "but he stopped *leading" yet he won biggest landslide ever in 84
  • Near the end of his term. Well known. / RR tax cuts for the very wealthy gave us that initial 56 billion dollar hole. / RR stopped leading '84/'85 - Iran-Contra disaster, firing War Hero North. He was very successful & impressive for much of his 1st term, got Congress focused. Maybe it was his cancer, the assassination attempt...second term a failure, as the deficit and debt soared. Immigration policy, trade deficit, etc., hurt the country.

  • not to mention, in all the talk of "bipartisanship" floating in the media ether today, Reagan compromising with Dems to get his tax cuts passed by agreeing to some of their pet projects, while saddle with ever burgeoning Soc Sec & Medicare wastes & overspending... yet he somehow, according to you - "failed to lead"

    hmmmmm

  • .....above: running against the dynamic duo, I may have won. RR's popularity rating was pretty low in '84 - the de-reg. philosophy became problematic - and all those folks in the middle who loved that temporary real estate boom saw they needed 3 jobs to sustain.

Again...the last 4-5 years undid alot of the promise of his early adm,

Corrupt cabinet didn't help him either.

(RR didn't need Congress to spend & spend & expand government.....check it out).

  • contd...

Reagan expressly said that the way to lower govt spending was to cut off the money flowing to the govt

you're right tho, tax revenues went UP... so i guess Reagan WAS wrong... he increased revenue... so Dem Congress raised spending EVEN MORE

    BWAAAHAAAHAHAHAHAHAAAA

you want it BOTH WAYS but i catch you every time

btw - LOL @ "comic books"

why dont you just go full nerd and say "graphic novels"

  • Catch me every time. Good one. / That was no comic book. Read the (pause) written parts.

If a political book with an unusual format is bothersome, try the Stockman book, THe Man Who Sold The World by Kleinnecht; Out of Control (Iran-Contra) by

Cockburn. There's also I book I had which layed out transcripts of the Gipper's press conference answers - now *that* would make a *real* comic book.

  • He had a shorter resume but is a 3 page resume as aopposed to a 2.5 page resume the ultimate standard?

If no Dem. said Obama was unqualified, that sounds vry plausible. Palin is a special case, as a nice person who is at last 8 years away from being even a Junior Senator. She got pretty strong support from Exxon to be that "Governor" in the land that looks out at Russia.

She quits to be on Fox.

  • Rachel Maddow is manlier than you will ever be, and she's quite a feminine woman! Dumbass...

  • narrowminded: Her BRAIN is certainly feminine!

  • where's cole classic? this ColeLite seems like a jerkoff, i want to try the real version. btw maddow could take you any day.

  • she wouldn't date you either- she's a lesbian and prolly dates women more masculine than a diet-coke-of-a-guy, i.e. you.

  • kudos!

  • McCain's choice of Palin is irresponsible. If he gets elected and dies while in office, he's left this country in the hands of Bush's sister.

  • sorry that was toward takethathill

  • Why shouldn't intelligent design be in question 'eldrad235'? The scientific evidence against it is overwhelming to say the least. Are we supposed to ignore facts now? Science is evil is it? I can't stand religious zealot nutjobs. It's because of people like you that a complete imbecile like Sarah Palin could even be considered for VP. You are the cancer that is killing America.

  • @tuor1984 wrong. the scientific THEORIES against it is overwhelming. look up theory. nothing is proven with definite evidence that supports or denies intelligent design, stories from the bible, evolution, the big bang theory, etc. the thing is you beleive what you beleive and dont beleive what you dont. keep it movin. saah palin an imbecile? yes, she is, she shouldnt have gotten anywhere near a presidental ticket, but NOT because of her religious beleifs

  • @cletedawgthewalmart "wrong. the scientific THEORIES against it is overwhelming."

Wrong, imbecile. Look up "Scientific Theory", you'll find it is far different than the word "theory" in common parlance. It is NOT a hypothesis, or something waiting to be "proven", it is the highest form of certainty that science proclaims. You know, little things like cell theory, germ theory, and the theory of gravitation. These, along with the Theory of Evolution, are things that help humanity progress.

  • @cletedawgthewalmart

Why are christians so against evolution?

And why do they bring up evolution ALL THE TIME?

  • Damn! George Will backing a Dem? I've gone into an alternate universe or the Palin/McCain team is considered a walking disaster even by conservatives

  • Great entry! Thanks 4 an excellent post.

Where else have you posted on youtube?

  • take that hill, could you be ANY more ignorant and bigoted? it is your EXACT ATTITUDE that can only be seen from McCain supporters, I have found. seriously, think about what you say before you post, ass...

  • hopefully they will stick a camel up your ass

  • there are so many ignorant people on youtube! First off i don't support either party since they are each owned by the largest corporations in the world. The republican party is now a joke, palin shouldn't even be talked about, thanks for giving voters one choice. Most of obama's ideas are solid but he won't be able to accomplish them when owned by these corporations. Wow, muslim? that's just as bad as christian! it doesn't matter what he is as long as he keeps his policies free from religion.

  • You are all fucking idiots if you actually think that this country would allow a terrorist become prez...oh wait, you all elected a retard for two straight terms, so anything is possible

  • Isn't it time for you to go to your KKK meeting with the other insecure morons.

  • 1. Why would Muslims attack a country headed by one of their own?

    2. Even McCain's camp says that the notion that Obama is a Muslim is foolish.

    3. You may have to put your white sheets away because we are about to have a black president.

  • MCCAIN has been a blindly lockstep conservative and has no history of being somewhat of a maverick himself. I'll still take my chances with OBAMA. Given a choice between someone accused of being "Bush III" and someone who definitely IS A COOL GUY. I'll gladly take OBAMA. Vote OBAMA or you will regret it bigtime when PALIN OINKS us to disaster.

  • Glad this "always amuses you"... I will put you in the "easily amused" column and assume you will be voting for the Breasts that are Sarah Palin.

  • Grow up. Get some real criticisms...

If Conservatives are attacking McCain so harshly...well how qualified is he?

  • I like Maddow... but, "nuclear football?" What the fuck does that even mean?

  • Nuclear Football refers to the codes to the nuclear weapons the President has.

  • George Will, despite what the Lib-bots at PMSNBC would have you believe, has never been a blindly lockstep conservative and has a long history of being somewhat of a maverick himself, so his critique here isn't huge news. I'll still take my chances with Johnny Mac. Given a choice between someone accused of being "Bush III" and someone who definitely IS Karl Marx II, I'll gladly take Bush III. Vote Mc Cain or you will regret it bigtime when Obama leads us to disaster.

  • It's not about his criticism of McCain being "huge news"... it is about it being FACT. Will is correct and McCain would be a disasterous president. This country is already in a disaster, and to add a McCain presidency to the disaster we are in, is frightening. Will is right.

  • You said it!!

  • "leads us to disaster."

Already there buddy. And it wasn't "Karl Marx" that got us here.

  • Oh, you mean like the good times we're having under Bush?

  • You are absolutely wrong. George Will has ALWAYS been a lockstep conservative. For him to say something good about an actual Democrat (although not a liberal one) is a very different step for him.

  • Obama *did* inherit a "disaster". Has worked to prevent complete ruin. Guess you wanted the status quo - you think the economy would have been better? You think we wouldn't be getting deeper into the Iraq war with no end in sight?

Karl Marx II - wow, that "spread it [the wealth] around" statement to J. Plumber must have solidified it 4 you!

  • and buckley endored obama 2...yet mccain still thinks the liberal media is OUT TO GET HIM...just pathetic...obama get 55% and 330 electoral votes on 11-4-08

  • interesting...

    david brooks

    george will

    richard cohen

    kathleen parker

all very conservative and still respected journalists in the field of politics...

all in the belief that the palin factor is going to be mccain's biggest burden. the negative ads, palin...

sorry john, you won't be going to the oval office anytime soon.

  • The problem with McCain is that he is indeed a maverick.

Being a maverick is excellent if you're a gunslinger living in the american southwest in the late 1800's.

BUT not if you want to steer the airplane of our country into the future with thundering storm clouds all around.

This is ultimately why even conservatives are turning on McCain. They dont want a man who crashed his own airplanes so many times to be given control.

Mavericks makes bold but often foolhardy choices.

  • Hulk, s very true & perfect. Another mess this "maverick" has created for himself. A dis-organized, un-steady, & un-focused campaign and then Palin. OMG talk about shooting yourself in the foot. Maverick's belong in cowboy movies, not the Whitehouse. Plus he is NOT a maverick, he is a desperate old man wanting to make up for his failures to live up to his daddy's legacy. Rolling Stone's 10/16 issue speaks to his REAL life story. This is a man who has lost HIMSELF in his quest for glory.

  • I suppose you are referring to the McCain ad that connects him to:

William Daley...he's never been accused of any wrongdoing

Emil Jones...hasn't been charged with or even seriously accused of misdeeds

Tony Rezko...Obama hasn't been associated with him since his indictment for wire fraud, bribery, money laundering and attempted extortion

Rod Blagojevich...his relationship with Obama doesn't extend much beyond being "his governor."

  • Not unless they are put in front of her.Like a Starbucks cup...

  • lol

  • George Will.

This is George Will arguably the smartest and best of the conservative writers. I am awed by his polished writing and his suggesting that McCain is unsuitable for the presidency is phenomenal. I am flabbergasted.

Sarah Palin doesn't read Will. you Betcha.

  • and you're not just another Joe Six Pack!

  • Will doesn't carry water for McCain or Bush 43, so he is consistent here. Will is one of the most insightful conservatives around. I think many in the conservative movement don't pay attention to Will because he is challenging & thought provoking. When they have the shrillness of the Sean Hanitys in this world, why bother with thinking. For this reason, I don't think Will's column will amount to much.

  • what happened to Keith?

  • He had a night off that night... And since Rachel has her own show, they brought in the "new guy"
