is it really a bad thing if he has done drugs. over 70 percent of americans admit to having tried at least one illegal substance. is our president not supposed to be a representative of the people by the people?

dude, a lot of homeless people support a cocaine addiction daily. it's not that hard if you have a job, which he did, if he did, in fact, use coke in the first place. you're making HUGE assumptions about a life you know very little about. besides, i've smoked crack once, pot more times than i could type in on a calculator, tripped on mushrooms, drank myself silly, tripped on quite a few things, etc. i'm 21. that's all behind me, and i'm living an active life. he's 48 and did less at my age.

Do you people realize that powder cocaine is much more expensive than the "poor black man's drug," crack, and Barack admitted to using cocaine. I wonder when he was actually using cocaine? When he was a young poor black man or a rich older black man in the Illinios state senate?

How can people condone this type of lifestyle from a presidential candidate? I know people that can not get a job as a police officer for doing pot and yet people are actually considering to vote for this puke.

Good point. Cocaine abuse will disqualify a person from many occupations. Would you want an airline pilot who was an admitted cocaine user? Or a city bus driver? Or a firefighter? Or a truck driver? So did Obama seek treatment for his drug problem? Did he receive counseling? Did he participate in a 12 step program? I hope the stress and pressure of being president does not cause him to relapse into drug use but I guess that is a chance the American people are willing to take.
