Trish, this is beautiful, and it touches me more deeply than you know. I lost my own Mother 8 years ago, and my Father less than a month ago. The pain of his loss is still intense, and constant, and yet the sweet memories of our lives together flow, soothing to some degree. I know only that it eventually gets "better." That empty spot in our hearts never goes away. It can never again be filled.
