this is all so wonderfull, after i listened to Bach i could't even say that clasical music sucks. i think his music connects so well with humanity, i wonder why?
OMG!!!! my teacher just gave that music today and at first i found it so hard that i couldnt appreaciate the melody but now that ive heard wat that song really is, im SO proud that im playing this right now!!!! =D
but yeah, i think there's not other way than practising for producing a good bach!^^ (im NOT saying its easy, cuz that thing is so far the most difficult song ive ever had to play! xD)
I'm gonna start playing this now, the entire concert. Any advice? 'Cause I've tried it once, and frankly, that didn't go to well... But I agree with you. It's truly beautiful, just not when I play it, yet anyway...
advice? lol hmm.. well it depends on where you stand and how you play. For me it was hard because i never really felt the piece. But I'm no pro, ive only been playing for 7 or 8 years now.. lol
Advice? Start slow and keep building on it, and you really gotta feel the music, or it'll sound boring (and in time, you'll get bored too.. Almost happened on the first movement)
I heard Nadja Salerno Sonnenberg perform this piece a few years ago, and it was like I'd never heard it before because she just took it to another level of sublime beauty...she had the audience on the edge of their seats..amazing!!!
Trevor Pinnock? I'm confused, who is the violinist?
polymath7 1 year ago
@polymath7: Simon Standage plays the violin, Mr. Pinnock conducts and I suppose plays also the continuo lines...
