  • Trevor Pinnock? I'm confused, who is the violinist?

  • @polymath7: Simon Standage plays the violin, Mr. Pinnock conducts and I suppose plays also the continuo lines...

  • Bach the Great.

  • this is all so wonderfull, after i listened to Bach i could't even say that clasical music sucks. i think his music connects so well with humanity, i wonder why?

  • @stargirlsusan someone that can just appreciate music for what it is without bringing religion or politics into it. good on ya

  • this is the MOST extravagent Piece that Bach has written out of all his violin concertos

  • Very energetic piece.

  • If u like this listen to Largo Ma Non Tanto, and Sleepers Awake, both also by J.S. Bach

  • @camilcuesta. LOL what a fail. thanks :D

  • the string crossing section is kicking my butt right now. hahaha.

  • @brittwait Bach really did like his bariolage !

  • thank you for the upload :)

Bach never seizes to amaze me...

  • @kanatafann ceases

  • aRE YOU SURE THIS IS THE REAL ONE?

  • yes...(imho)...

  • amazing baroque performance...the best on youtube...

    (imho)

  • i concur. it is the best on youtube iywo (in your worthless option)

  • OMG!!!! my teacher just gave that music today and at first i found it so hard that i couldnt appreaciate the melody but now that ive heard wat that song really is, im SO proud that im playing this right now!!!! =D

but yeah, i think there's not other way than practising for producing a good bach!^^ (im NOT saying its easy, cuz that thing is so far the most difficult song ive ever had to play! xD)

  • Incredible song

  • man i'm playing this piece right now.. its beautiful. :] but friggin' hard! lol

  • I'm gonna start playing this now, the entire concert. Any advice? 'Cause I've tried it once, and frankly, that didn't go to well... But I agree with you. It's truly beautiful, just not when I play it, yet anyway...

  • advice? lol hmm.. well it depends on where you stand and how you play. For me it was hard because i never really felt the piece. But I'm no pro, ive only been playing for 7 or 8 years now.. lol

  • practice practice practice...

  • I'm playing this too.

Advice? Start slow and keep building on it, and you really gotta feel the music, or it'll sound boring (and in time, you'll get bored too.. Almost happened on the first movement)

  • just keep practicing

    thats all

and youll get the rhythms and everything perfect in a little

then practice the hard string crossing part

  • @djemiko agreed !!!!

  • I heard Nadja Salerno Sonnenberg perform this piece a few years ago, and it was like I'd never heard it before because she just took it to another level of sublime beauty...she had the audience on the edge of their seats..amazing!!!

  • Yeah!

  • Beautiful!
