Thanks for all your comments!We made this video about 3 years ago and posted on here for fun.I can't believe it's now had over 88k hits! A friend of ours filmed it and dropped the frame rate to blur the flames. I made the staffs myself, I wrapped 4 60mm wicks on each end of the staffs - the flames are genuinely that big!Like I say, we made this video 3 years ago so please don't be too harsh on our technique! It was a bit of fun and the result I think is pretty cool.

Glowstringing does look cool. but it has more in common with Fire Poi, which provides the same results, and since paraffin/Kerosene is a low burning fuel the risk from burning is minimal.

what you're seeing in this video is only firestaff, which provides a whole different set of tricks you can do.

For those claiming that special effects are added to make the flames look more impressive, you're not seeing the whole picture here. The camera they used has a bit slower shutter speed than most, meaning the camera has to pull in more light than usual to compose a frame. This gives a strobe effect and huge tracers. Add the giant wicks they're using, and it's not hard to see how the flames look like that. They're not faking it, bottom line. Basic moves, but still impressive. Nicely done, guys.
