Myers is gonna be a beast. He will start on the Sabres this year and hopefully play well enough to stay.

Myers is a long-term project. He skates pretty well, especially for a tall kid, and has some offensive upside. However, he has something that you can't teach - height - that is both his current weakness and long-run strength. He has grown so much over the past few years that it will take a while to learn to use it well and he definitely hasn't filled out yet, which will help a lot. He has the potential to be a dominant NHL defenseman, but probably will be a few years before he gets there.

goPre16, he's young enough that if he doesn't make the Sabres out of camp next year, he has to go back to his juniors team, not the AHL. He might actually make it this year, though, given how he has filled out and begun dominating juniors. His stock has certainly risen, starting in the World Juniors tournament.

I think he'll be on the sabres next year. He's dominated pretty much every aspect of the game down there. Offense, Defense, Physical game, Special teams, you name it Myers pretty much knows what he's doing. He won't benefit very much if he stays in juniors.

They'll probably take a chance on him, and if he struggles, they'll send him back to the rockets.
