The 9800GX2 is still one of the top performance cards out there and its technology is almost 2 years old. Only the GTX295 and HD4870x2 can top this card... and MAYBE the GTX285 and HD4850 can be equal to a 9800GX2's performance. This thing edges out even a GTX280 in most benchmarks. For a old card, it's still a beast.

xfx 9800x2 it has a much faster gb memory output then the 256 interface of the 8800 2 gpu's means 256 per core ;) also 55 nm is alot easier to overclock then 65 nm

Yeah. For the 9600, stick with evga but for the 8800 gt for example, I`d go for an xfx. I used to criticize xfx alot but I guess gamers trust it. Both vendors are good. PNY and BFG are nice too.

Wow basically two 8800gts 512mb stuck together. The 9000 series has been seriously over-hyped. 9800gtx is just an OCed 8800 gts and 9600gt a stripped down 8800gt and then called the G90. They could have atleast made a new chip instead of sitting on the G92.
