  • I guess it's supposed to be animated for a scene in the southern hemisphere (Australia), cause the sun runs counterclockwise.

  • my scene always gets overlit with the daylight system, no matter what version of max I use (that includes max 2008)

  • You have to go to exposure control and put it on an exposure control setting for daylight systems.

  • logarithmic exposure control yea... found out :P ty anyway!

  • under rendering menu ---> advanced lighting ----> Exposure control

    at environment tap you'll find Logarithmic Exposure Control Parameters, check the box beside Exterior Daylight.

    I think this may help you with the over bright objects problem
