Yeah, the lenovo logo was *so good* that I won't be buying any of them (it's a stupid logo, bland and boring; IBM had cool stripes with red green and blue signifying the first colour computer monitor they made).

Thinkpad quality has declined so much since the lenovo takeover, they are a cheap chinese company that sacked all of the original IBM employees. This is why you now have the "thinkpad edge", a cheap door mat. Get a thinkpad 701c.

Well, I wish they would have kept it the same instead of trying to "improve" the Thinkpad. The swiss cheese keyboard flexes like non other and the new bracing they installed does not help at all. They have a lousy supply chain with a 1 month wait between delivery and order date.

The keyboard is the defining factor of a thinkpad and they had to go and mess it up. Unforgivable.

The 2 things that we also hear consistenly on globale scale is thinkpad's owners' frustations over their key swapping of CTRL and FN keys. So f****k stupid. Their included forward and backward keys that adds the risks of losing hours of works if u press this button in the process. these can ofc disable. but the FN key really bugs me out. why not follow the standard keys settings. really makes me regret buying this tank. one thing to destroy em all. yes...very smart lenovo!

I never find the fn/ctrl positions annoying but I'm totally with you about the forward/backward thing. I hardly ever use them.

Why not go into the ThinkVantage Keyboard settings and make the Back/Forward keys work only if you keep them pressed for a second or so?
