i would like to know, as one of the only children in my school that does not watch cartoons nor child/teen focused media nor any news programs is it dangerous to my well being to watch, limitedly, educational shows on different channels. I mean really limitedly, about 3 hours per week.

When you look at it directly it doesn't appear to flicker but by looking at the ceiling, keeping your TV in your peripheral vision you will see it flicker. I tried this with the flat screen of my laptop. It does not flicker at all.
