Windows Experience Index doesn't actually tell you the truth :P But if you did lowered, try closing some programs. If your running a lot of programs, it will effect the test. I tried making a large resolution and running some program and my gaming graphic score dropped from 4.4 to 4.3. So closing some programs could fix it. If not, see which one did you lowered on and google on how to improve it.

I don't think that's due to your computer. Maybe some boot setup. Don't change anything on your boot setup though :P If you do the wrong thing, your computer may never boot up again. It happened to my other computer once, but it was old:P Sadly I can't help you with this besides removing old program. There is a way though. You can putting your computer to hibernation, so it'll turn off your computer while saving your program. Less program running the last time you shut off=better time. Google it

The one in the description is the recommended hardware for a good computer. That notebook I used to make the video was 2ghz and 2gb of ram. It's using Nvidia GeForce 9600 with 256mb of graphic memory. The GPU is 400mhz. It have 200gb of harddrive and it have windows vista home premium 32-bit. Btw, I turned Aero off.
It's enough to do the stuff I want >.>. A good ram to have is 1gb or higher. If you want to do more stuff, go 2gb ram. If you want hardcore gaming, go 4gb+processor+graphic card.
