I think this video is the best one if you're just starting your spiritual journey.
Learning that we have the power to not believe the news feed that is the Mind is the first step towards freedom from it. We can "let it dance" as Mooji says but dont have to invest in its content, because most of the thoughts are not completely ours but years of conditioning and exposure.
After a few months into my awakening I am getting more and more clear every day about my true self. Wonderful.
"...exposing the myth that you are the mind that is then trying to get rid of the noise to try to be still, this is the religion of the mind..." what a beautiful and powerful way of putting it.Thank you Mooji
Physical violence is a part of the all, and therefore, should not be seen as good or bad. There are moments when it is necessary, but that is for the moment to decide, not to pre-meditate. Eckhart Tolle said when I saw him in CA that when you live in a state of consciousness you will be drawn to the right place at the right time. If there is violence a block away on your route home, you might intuitively go another route, or you may face it and transform the situation alltogether.
if the mind is an objective reality - i.e. it can be seen - then it can be killed. As long as there is a discussion or energy about 'mind' it is kept alive. Strangle it by withdrawing your energy from it. It cannot exist without energy.
Ain't nothing to find and there is no cause to anything. Living in a causeless universe means you are on constant vacation! :)
While it's true that the mind can be seen, only its form can be "killed", not its potential for existence. On the other hand, you use mind quite regularly, and for many things, so it's not necessarily a desirable thing to "kill" it. It's only when thinking becomes compulsive that you have issues. Like a builder who cant let go of the hammer while driving a car or having wild monkey sex with his gf lol
Biboiluffy, this thought is from the mind, you must understand that the need to 'burst' is from the mind, and also, it is no-ones job to tell you whats right and whats wrong, you should only respond to self, simply express, hope that helps. I would say no, others may say yes. There is never a need for violence.
Morjens! It's me on the video asking those questions. I was very anxious about getting rid of the mind. I thought that maybe I could kill the mind by rejecting thoughts, thus starving it to death.. The "method" is right, but my attitude was wrong.. I was too violent, thus even empowering the mind.. Like Mooji said - ignore the mind out of existense. There is a subtle but significant difference.
i was thinking something similar today. but i might be coming from somewhere different.
Some times i feel like i shouldnt have fun, like go to the cinema, or go out and have a good time, cause i should be trying to reach enlightenment.. In a way its like i shouldnt have fun!
Yeah, you know they say that enlightenment is unlimited bliss and the end of suffering.. So I guess that having fun is ok.. Of course it can also be a way to escape yourself..
Probably it would be best if you tried to be present and conscious also when having fun.
"These videos, books, satsangs, all of it... None of it is of any help."
Unfortunately this statement does appear to be true, although others would have it not so.
Whatever happens is supposed to happen and when it happens is the right time. If it's not meant to happen for you, you could go to a thousand satsangs & never gain a thing.
The only thing you can do is 'Realising',We're talking about the 'direct' method for the thruth to appear,...you have do be convinced that you are not the mind and the body, that you are not a 'person'....you have to 'realise'that you are 'Pure Awareness'',that what you are is invissible',and my dear brother you have to know that for sure,i mean for the full 100%,then the only thing you "can"do is be "Quiet",and your 'throug'Self will be arise...!Bliss,and be Still,Good luck!
Those words were intended to be bitter. I am tired of it all. I am tired of trying to stop, of trying to stop trying. I am tired of seeing people like you, and probably most of the people who have responded to my comment, caught up in a temporary spiritual high, thinking you've finally "got it" (or "not got it" depending on your flavor of advaita semantics garbage)
There is a reason you were interested in Mooji's videos. It struck a chord somewhere, deep inside. That is your place of knowing and it exists outside the mind. Don't beat yourself up over it. For now, live in and from your heart, be gentle with yourself when you find you are functioning from the mind, with all its desires and judgments, and surrender to the Infinite. You ARE that, so it's just a matter of time before you remember who you really are. Just love your Self unconditionally!
don't identify with your mind....... its just an aspect of your self....

Exposing the myth that you get rid of the spirit, which then tries to attempt the noises, nor should be, this is the religion of the spirit.
this is mike3gdc's comment translated into german and back into englisch again

the mind creates a problem, but you are not it - you are the observer, you are not compelled to act

Mooji didn't give me answers I wanted, but answers I needed. At first I was little irritated, but now I'm grateful. Rauhaa!!!

Honesty is good. It will happen when you least expect.

Yes.. I think I Feel that mooji means that
everything that burdens you is not you
everything that makes you feel light or good is you
A siginicant difference indeed.
Why should I Practise Spiritual practise if it is
burdening me ?
Not unconfortable but burdening.

Yeah, sometimes it's funny.. I seek liberation cause I want to get rid of the suffering.. And then my practise makes me even more miserable....

That made me laugh out loud. I think you helped me root something out. I thank you, good sir. May you find peace.
