  • Would I need an adapter for a .22 rifle? It would be for a ISSC MK .22.

  • That's a strange grip you use. Could that be causing the "malfuntion"?

  • Keyhole means bullet is tumbling. Not good...

For Texas. Just file the right forms to ATF, or get a lawyer to do it. Get your local sheriff to approve you in your county. Simple right?

  • I need a Gemtech...

  • Bosnia? Which shop do you get your suppressors from? I also live in bosnia i mean tucson and turn 21 april 9th and i want one of those. where do i go?

  • Comment removed

  • Could these also work on a .22 caliber rifle with a threaded barrel?

  • @InsertGun

    yes

  • gemtechs def the best..for my money, im buyin all gemtech, good choice

  • Are you guys in Iraq when this video was shot?

  • @listensilent no.. bosnia

  • What do you mean when you say that it keyholes?

  • @Outlaw409

Sometimes bullets tumble or spin end over end, instead of the nice spiral path they are supposed to travel

  • You are all wrong you unlock the silencer after you get 75 kills with it

  • What about cleaning?

  • which gun would you recommend for small varmit hunting and plinking, a walther p22 or a sig mosquito?

  • @Ge0Sh0t ruger mark 2

  • can the outback 2 be put on a smith and wesson 422

  • for the sig you have to use cci ammo or itll jam every time

  • do you really have to get a background check done to get a suppressor? all i wanna do is suppress the one im gettin so i dont have to get ear plugs haha i heard the gem tech is pretty good

  • i have an outback 2 and its nice with my walther P22 its my carryaround i am a license lll deal and i sell gemtech and i have to say i love them especially for possums and other pests and easy to clean

  • can you get a suppressor for a Remington 522 Viper? If you can where would you get one and how much are they also do you have to have some sort of permit for a suppressor?

  • anything is possible, but I have no idea if someone alreafy makes threaded barrels for the 522

There is no permit for a suppressor, just a tax, background check, and time

  • @GunWebsites is the tax something you only pay once, or is it annual? Thinking about getting one for my M&P 15-22.

  • @teknic111

it is a one time transfer tax, if / when you ever sell it, the next guy pays a tax to transfer it

  • i don't know the grains on the ammo you're using but are they maximized for these suppressors. they are really loud.

with the right can and ammo you can get down to the level of "click".

i have some videos of my mkII with integral suppressor and its not the crazy foot long version either and with any sub ammo all you get is click and thud.

i'll post them as soon as i can get my old computer out of storage.

    good comparison video.

    keep em coming.

  • i hated the mag disconnect on those garbage p22s too.

i won't buy anothe gun that has that crap on it.

torture tested 4 of them this winter right after afghanistan and below freezing the firing pin won't move enough to ignite the cartridge.

totally flawed, it didn't matter what lubrication we used.

set them in front of the propane heater for 15 minutes and they worked like champs.

i'll take a ruger mk II thank you.

  • i like walther but i would rather take the sig mosquito or the ruger mark 3 =)

  • CCI's lead rounds are coated in wax and that might contribute to keyholing.

  • The outback II is the shit!

  • It does have to do with the length of your bullets and weight. Im not saying that thats the case here, it could very well be the way these guns shoot. But generally speaking you get key holes when the length and weight of your bullets doesn't correspond to your suppressor, I.E, you cant just slap any ol ammo in your mag when shooting a suppressed weapon. Sometimes it can cause baffle strikes or end cap strikes (ruining you can) Shooting with a suppressor is a lot more complicated than most think

  • I'm not sure, but there are a lot of different .22s out there

  • walther p22, sig mosquito,ruger mark 1 2 an 3,beretta cheetah?

  • if one of the baffles is int he way of the bullet it will push it off course and potentially cause the tumble

It could be other things that cause it, but something is pushing the bullet around as it passes through

  • key hole is a term used to describe the hole made when a bullet 'tumbles' instead of spirals in flight

The tumbling bullet will often hit the target sideways, so it rips an elongated hole that looks like the slot in a lock (key hole)

  • Do the suppressors wear out over time and if so how do you repair them or do you have to buy a new one? Also what .22 pistol would you recommend? And what is a good quality ammo and where do you get it? I'm new to the gun world. :D

  • wear out? = sure

repair = that's a LONG answer (watch for a vid)

    pistol = Sig Mosquito

    ammo = long answer too

  • c'mon i need the answers to these questions, because I was going to give a .22 with a silencer to my dad as a gift. So yeah :D

  • Short answer = you really can't buy an NFA item (suppressor) as a gift

You need to be 21+ to buy a pistol

and check your local laws first to see if they are OK where you live

Assuming you still are thinking about it, you are looking at a minimum of about 6 months wait for the paperwork on the suppressor to go trough the process before you can take possession of it

  • for ammo use a remington subsonic long rifle

for beginning gun i recommend a ruger mkiii thats the same gun i have

  • As a lefty myself, I'm curious what the problem was when shooting the Sig left handed. By the way, that Gemtech sounded great.

  • howd u get that paint job on the mosquito

  • They sell a digital camo model (already painted)

  • woops, sorry about deleting your post (I clicked the wrong button)

    - you are correct subsonic is prefered.. we just didn't have any for this shoot

  • you know your suppose to use subsonic ammo. Although you will hear a noticeable change but subsonics are whats prefered.

  • cuz you werent using cci mini mags, the only ammo you can really use reliably in the sig n waalther, but the subsonic is needed for your application, so i would use a threaded revolver.

  • threaded revolver? there is no point on using a suppressor on a revolver due to there being a gap between the chamber and barrel.

  • yup

  • Check out the m1895 revolver by Mosen Nagant. Chamber moved forward when you pulled the trigger to make a seal against the barrel. There is a video here on youtube of a guy who put a suppressor on one.

  • the exception to the rule.. I've heard of them, but only seen pics, a video would be cool, I'll look for it

  • Saw a video of one of those not long ago. Sounded supressed, and you could se the cylinder move foward, pretty sweet :P

  • didn't you notice there were zero problems with the same ammo and same guns when using other suppressors?

I understand what you are saying, but I don't think it was the ammo

  • great review.. wish i could put a supressor on my p22 too.. but i cant coz the barrel is fixed.. is there a way to put thread on it? lemi kno if ya got info.. thanks man! stay safe!

  • I thought all P22 barrels were already threaded.. but if yours is not, you can get threaded barrel for them (thats what we used)

  • good review!!! any plans to review any advanced armament .22 suppressors?

  • trust me.. if we can get our hands on it.. we'll test it, LOL

I did talk to them at SHOT show, but with the whole NFA transfer thing, I'm not yet sure how to arrange for 'test' cans..

We'll keep working on it (and better testing process) .. stay tuned

  • "Keyhole" means that the bullet makes keyhole shaped hole in the paper target. This happens when the bullet starts to tumble in flight because it isn't stabilized.

  • What is a keyhole??
