Those comments in Japanese mentioned about it is OIL.

The dropped oil is heated by the pan immediately. Then, it conducts heat to the inside of the takoyaki when absorbed. That's why you saw the steam. Hot oil makes takoyaki crisper than when you don't use it, though some Japanese don't like oily takoyaki. It's a tip to cook it faster, too.

これ、私持っています。

ちょっとコツ（ようは説明書に忠実にするだけなんだけど）はいる­けど、上手に丸くなったときは嬉しいですよ。

見てるだけで楽しめて、食べてもちろん美味しい。

たまにひっくり返るのに失敗するけど、それを補助してあげるのも­なんだか楽しいから不思議。

ちなみに一回で12コ焼けます。
