dude can you explain what a gate effect does, like how it is use .........please

@zpodxxx A gate is pretty simple to explain..it basically cuts off the sound if the sound reaches a certain level of quietness. It can be used in reverse (cuts off sound if higher than x) and can also be sidechained with other sounds.

would it not be better to automate the 100hz "dip" in the phat low EQ to only dip down when the kick drum hits? is this a good idea?

Your videos are so good I lernt something you were`nt teaching lol.........As you asked .....Id love to see an in-depth look at mastering along the lines of this video on how important it is to EQ all the elements so they give each other "space" and maybe abit about the mid/side if you use ozone or how to do it just in ableton but quite in-depth......Great vids and good luck with the E.P.
