  • Hello. Great work! (and lots of patience) :-)

  • can you tell me how many Frames are in this? :D

  • Did you stay there all the time ? D:

  • yes

  • i aprecciate that werry mutch! :)

  • well i'm suprised you cant see clouds over the other side of the bridge

  • The video is stunning!

It's just a shame that this great spectacle is under threat from greedy investors who want to build a barrage across it instead of safer, cheaper and greener technology!!

  • Taking into account that the planned barrage could produce 10% of the UK's power consumption, just by taking the opportunity of the high tidal force, I can't think of anything greener. No pollution, no dangerous nuclear materials, the tide at the bridge would still be there, even though a bit altered/delayed. The investment might be high, but it pays out over time. They last very long, some are well over 100 years old.

  • Are you aware of the alternatives? Much greener, way less cost and much better for the habitat that would be lost forever if the barrage plan went a head. With regards to the barrage lasting 100 years I think you mean dams. Canada built a barrage many years ago and had to remove it because of the massive costs and silting problem. They even sent a letter toour government telling them theywould be mad to even contemplate the idea!

  • Very good indeed.

  • I like how you see the tide

  • That's beautiful! Well done! :-)

  • Georgeous! I've always wanted to do that!

  • georgeous just like i was sitting there

  • do you have a web page explaining how you do it? great pictures

    jim northampton UK

  • What, so you stand by your camera taking each shot, or do you set it up so that it takes all the pictures automatically? And what camera do you use?

    Charlie -

  • Nikon D200. It has an interval timer built in.

  • you don't need a special camera, and definently don't need film. just record.. 12 hrs, stand by your camera switching out tapes, and put them all together in final cut pro and speed it up and frame blend. easy, really.

  • .. I use a stills camera and a timer to avoid all that tape changing/digitising nonsense. Makes it all HD, too.

  • What was the real-time length of this recording???

I love the lights on the bridge.

  • your videos are just awesome

  • Thankyou so much, always nice to get a good response...

  • Thanks for sharing.

  • that's lovely.

  • This isn't film, is it? How do you slow down the frame rate on a digital camera?

  • Do you need a special camera to do this or have lots of domestic camcorders got a timelapse function?

  • the aeroplanes move in an odd way, there appears to be just one plane but somehow it is reflected to appear as 2, and then another 2 reflections go in the opposite direction. But if the plane is reflected like this why not the clouds? Another odd effect is that the con trail is not inline with the direction of flight, which is just weird.

Did you see the airplane? How many? Can you offer any explanations?

  • There were three aeroplanes. One you can only see as a contrail, left to right (and being blown L-R) across the frame. Then two parallel planes came over - directly over camera. Their contrails also blew left to right.

  • nice

  • I like these keep them coming :)

  • I love your work- it is amazing that a full days beauty can be captured in 30 seconds

  • it wouldnt be so beautiful if it wasnt played in 30 seconds, if it was a 24 hour vid it wud be boring. :)

  • How long are you stay there?

  • Three hours I think this one took. I had a friend with me to talk to, at least...

  • so is this only 3 hours worth of film? it looks like you were there a lot longer?, the small waves in to water look great, its a clear way to detern when it starts to go out! GREAT!

  • Your work is stunning!

  • It is brilliant! Reminds me of the many times I went to the bridge while my Father was helping build it.

  • I LOVE IT

  • I like the two ufos at the beginning ;)

  • aeroplanes...

  • DO YOU SERIOUSLY STAY OUT THERE!??!?!?!

  • of course I do. You have to suffer for your art..

  • very nice work.Beautiful
