I've seen that amazing Patrick Bruel concert when it was broadcasted on tv and videorecorded it. Ofcourse I can't play it anymore and for a long time searching for video's from the concert but can only find 1 video, not even audio recordings. So anybody who has it please let me know ?!?

Cette chanson me donne des frissons chaque fois que je l'écoute... Pourtant je la connais par coeur...

C'est tout une question du gout. :) Quand j'ai commencé apprendre francais ca c'était la seule musique en francais qu'on pourrait acheter chez nous - j'ai appris la langue avec l'aide de ces textes ... puis mes premières vacances sans mes parents - en Montpellier avec une amie - et là le 1. life concert où j'étais dans ma vie: Bruel ... et puis cet chanson. Ainsi il y a aussi une signification spéciale pour moi. :)

Thank you for having added and translated this beautiful song. Yes, it is great this wall doesn't exist anymore, but I agree with you when you say there still are lots of walls in our minds and when you speak about the vicious circle of hate and violence. As you I dream of a world without borders where different languages and traditions wouldn't be any problem for anyone.

Würd mich scho intressiern,wie ein LIED SCHWUL sein kann?Ansonstn:in dem Lied,auch wenns zumind in jenem Konzert der Wiedervereinigung Dtls gewidmet wordn ist,gehts ganz allg um Maurn,die wir Menschen zwischn uns aufbaun-diese Maurn könn ganz unterschiedlichr Art sein.Nicht immr sind sie aus Beton und auf dem 1 Blick so einfach zu sehn wies die in Berlin war-u auch da steckte ja noch viel mehr dahintr.

The fall of this physical barrier was a great victory for all German folks in 1989!

Pretty sad that nowadays many other folks are trying to build new walls (just like in Belgium, in Georgia, in former Yugoslavia) - men have short memory, so they have to suffer once again to remind how intolerance is the humanity worst disease.

Yes, this is sad. These are the "walls in our minds" mentioned in this song. But of course there are a bit different situations. The Germans have been a devided folk so as f. ex. also the Koreans are. We have actually lots of problems in regions, where different folks lived for a long time (mostly peacefully) together in one state. Would be really nice, if it would work, that we all could live together without borders but every folk could keep own language and traditions.

But perhaps it cannot work ... although it is again and again astonishing, that it's possible for long time and then there is such a kind of "explosion" and all ends in hate and violence. And this is what is the real sad point: hate and violence and the vicious circle, which develops and is so difficult to interrupt.
