Two suggestions:
No ghosting on the snare drum.
Play simple. 16th on the hi-hat is over played.
Essential quantity over the song..it's difficult to play the right amount, but too easy over play.

Not too rough! Just play the main beat with 16th notes on the hi hats and move to the ride when necessary, and you guys will sound great.
