I felt kind of bad for Steve becuase slash and Steve were good friends before Guns and slash turned his back. Axl tried to work with Steve as long as he could until it got to the point that Steve couldn't perform anymore and Axl was the last one to do anything and was pressured by the rest of the band about letting Steve go.

at 25 years old he had a heart attack then some years later he suffered a stroke and a few days later he had another one but minor. I'm amazed how he's still alive.But definitely he is one of the greatest drummers ever.

All those years of drug abuse during the old GNR era caused Steven to have a stroke and he was left with a speach disability as a result. That's why he speaks like that.
