Poor Major Lorne. He was a Major all the way through SG-1 and Atlantis, and the only time he got to do anything awesome his ship got blew up in five minutes b/c Lantian technology SUCKS!!! He served on an SG team (I think it was SG-5, but i'm not sure) and was never promoted. He was stuck babysitting archeologists on an SG-1 episode, and after that he had to listen to that jerk Shepherd for 5 years. This man deserves a medal. Or at the very least he deserves one promotion in ten years!!!

can't stand Atlantis's ancient stuff. It's a disgrace to SG. I prefer to think there are 3 different ancient races: the Lantians (Pegasus), the Ori, and the Alterrans (Milky Way.) Anyway, the timeline's all wrong. Alterrans ascended MILLIONS of years ago. Lantians ascended ten THOUSAND years ago.

the thing i dont like about stargate is the fact they heroize the main characters to much to the point that for explame with rodnkey MCkay, its almost as if the other scientests know as much as 10th grade students. It gets really dull when its just john sheppard or rodney that somehow thinks of a really simple idea before hundreds of other scientests and saves the day with seconds to spare. Its old, SG1 and SGA are full of it

I agree, but its not enough, It doesn't have to be huge or great, Im just pointing out that there are so many characters in both SGs that have an important job, Major marks for example but when the time comes they make him looks like a total dipshit and out of the blue Colonieal shepperd or someone save the day. Orion class battleships if they were fully battle ready could easly take on 2 maybe 3 wraith hive ships.But when the orion fired her drones it shorted out the shield systems which left her a sitting duck.

It wasn't planned for the shields to collapse in order to use thier drones. The last hive was able to easily damage the Orion with no shields. The loss of the Orion was an accident due to the fact it was still under repair. It just couldn't defend itself in that state of disrepair from two hives.

I think the main problem is the ineffectiveness of the Daedalus against the Hives. Why don't they just beam nukes directly outside of the Hive ships instead of inside??? It worked on SG-1 for the Odyssey.

Hmm I used to love Stargate space battles until Is aw Battlestar Galactica and then those just blew me away.

Stargate prides itself on realism, yet I find it hard to see in Atlantis. And there isn't enough actual combat it seems.

I'll still watch Season 4 though, I've seen every season of Atlantis and Sg-1 so why not.
