We were on a slow yet deliberate recovery from they pussy little pretty boy vampires made popular in the movie "interview with the vampire" We had a very slight improvement in "Queen of the Damned", then drastic improvement with "Blade", then finally full recovery to badass brutal vampirism with "Underworld". Then this woman who fingers herself while she reads romance novels about little sissy boy metrosexual vampires makes the "Twilight" series and just ruins the whole thing.

I really liked Twilight at first but as I read the books, and saw the released movies, I realised that is all too cliché. It´s all about their love that´s really boring and cheesy. And New Moon, everything Edwards said was Cliché! God!

And both Bella and Edward are portraited as Mary-sue/gary-stue and their only weakness brings them closer together... I mean she has like four guys after her! Everybody loves her and the cullens! it doesn´t work that way.

The 'fear' of vampires was already diminished, for those that read fanfic. LONG before Twilight.

In the books Bella was portrayed as someone not to be desired at all and has more than two men following her; she has four. Which contradicts what Meyer originally stated with little to no reasoning at all.

Twilight takes desire too far. Here, they tried to reason why it's okay to be obsessed by highlighting Edward's character, not Bella's. Why didn't they address Bella's bodily harm more clearly?

My teachers, friends and several acquaintances are very much obsessed with Edward. After seeing the movie and how unattractive his actor was, they immediately switched to Jacob to fawn over.

Her writing is nothing to deem "the greatest literature out there", it's normal, and I can only remember one instance (in how many pages and how many books?) that I was impressed. She truly /is/ riding on female hormones.
