The first time I played through x-2 I got this ending(didn't like the gameplay much so I just trudged through and reaped what I sowed).... if my reaction was the norm I believe this ending is responsible for more broken controllers than freezing, forgetting to save, the red light of death, and the databug dungeon in .hack; combined.... I believe that thing may have been the first sony electronic to break the sound barrier :(

Strange that this one would be the "normal" ending, typically I would consider the normal ending the TRUE ending. Considering the last scenes on X are identical to the Good ending of X-2 id say that one is the true ending. But meh.

I also personally think that this ending was better than the one where Tidus comes back. It just seemed so unreal to me, especially after the powerful, emotional ending in the first game. It's sometimes better to put a little more realism into it. There can't ALWAYS be a happily ever after.

Tidus coming back in the end was what most people would expect if they made a sequel, so to make it not happen would make it less predictable.

I honestly didn't like the "perfect" ending at all.

I think George Newbern's performance here as Nooj was what led the Square people to cast him as Sephiroth after Kingdom Hearts.

I'll admit, I liked Newbern better than Lance Bass (he was OK too, but didn't talk much), but I've sort of grown tired of hearing Newbern feud with Steve Burton (Cloud) in almost EVERY single Final Fantasy spin-off.

@COMAFAVOS at the end of chapter 3, when yuna falls into the hole she says that she's "all alone". Once she says that you have to repeatedly push X until you hear 4 whistles.

Also you have to make sure you go to Guadolasam (spelling?) and talk to Ormi and Logos. An old guy will show up and a cutscene will happen. Then during chapter 5 go to Luca and find a moogle. Follow the moogle around and there will be scenes from Final Fantasy X involving Tidus and Yuna.
