@WarriorHawkSpirit I have two responses. The first is, people make movies to make money, and people have used truly popular stuff, and have flopped and lost money. Second, who would make the movie? When you think about the amount of good fantasy movies, you will realize there are not that many. And people like you and me, who love the books, would probably get up in arms if they were not done totally according to the book. And a director might want to cut, add, or change the . . .

@ARP7777777 Just because they might be done poorly doesn't mean they shouldn't be done. If whoever does do it is worried about upsetting fans, have Lackey participate in making it, and give her enough authority to do some good.

@ARP7777777 When you`ve read the book the movie`s a waste of time. I hear they made a movie of my favorite Russian series. The only thing I liked about it was tht they changed Rufin`s death scene. It`s a fantasy book, not a sitcom. Minotaur-horn-to-the-knee jokelike death scenes are not appropriate, Mr Author. Other than that, its bad and the people who made it need to read! So if they humiliated M. Lackey by messing up HER books I`d be the first to throw sticks, stones, pitchforks and knives.

@ARP7777777 Well, its because I like the name Theoden a lot. Plus, Selenay was one of my fav chars but I had problems imagining her a a gryphon. Kieri would be okay I guess.... Dorrin Verrakai was my least favourite char for some reason I dunno. He just SUCKED.

The Mage Wars is an amazing trilogy. I'm now reading The Last Herold Mage Trilogy, also awesome. Would it be to much to assume the entire Valdamar [spelling?] series will be awesome?

I can almost hear this as a marching song for the Silvers, as it does kinda strike me as a cadence with the usual music one might have found in a mideval technologied army.

The singers are powerful, and well fit to the song, of course, it has as many elements of Chant as it does music as most people think of it. It doesn't invoke beauty as much as it invokes strength.

The Silvers are from just after the Mage Wars, when the kaled a in are in White Gryphon. Skandranon's child was a Silver, as was his good friend Amberdrake's child.

The gryphon in this book is Kelvren [the brave] a member of a peacekeeping force but Kelvren is a very young, unranked scout. Like all gryphons he is very vain but he has never been in an "offensive act of war" When he gets a chance to prove himself, he is so excited he can't hardly speak. When I hear the singing I think they are poking a bit of gentle fun at Kelvren.

But the Silver Gryphons have been around longer than Valdemar, About 2,000 years or so. So the organization has a lot of experience, even if individual's in it don't. Sort of like the American Marines, or the British Navy.
