if theres 5:24 of crashes in 1 race there is something wrong with this track....shit you watch more crashes than racing and the clean up for each crash is like 30 minutes

Matt Hagen the Funny Car driver is the son of the owner of this track. This makes him in relation owner of this track as well. Just a fun fact for anyone interested.
This track has lengthened their shut down area but ADRL has said they will not run their due to what happened at this race. I have heard that The Motor Mile is suing because ADRL was under contract to race their this 2010 season. I don't blame ADRL a lot of high dollar cars where tore up at this race.
Gaylen Smith "The Texas Bounty Hunter" likes to pull his chutes just before the speed trap. This helps him stop at traks such as this one. If you notice, most of these guys dont drop their chutes until after they pass the clock. But I do believe there are a lot of tracks, such as this one, that need to do some upgrades to accommodate these cars of today.

just in case you guys wanted to know. the ADRL moved the this race to a safer track(heartland park) because of the lack of shutdown area. this move happened about 2 years ago and caused quite a stir because the ADRL pulled the plug on the track about 4 weeks right before they were supposed to run there agin.
better have a good light, and be on the chutes and brakes right at the 660' mark and things would be ok, like to see a top fuel make a shakedown pass at that track

I cant believe the drivers even would make a 2nd pass, I would put my car in the trailer and tell them to go F* themselves, that is ridiculous! Trying to run Pro cars on a bracket track! Every pair was hopping and skidding trying to stop!

just in case you guys wanted to know. the ADRL moved the this race to a safer track(heartland park) because of the lack of shutdown area. this move happened about 2 years ago and caused quite a stir because the ADRL pulled the plug on the track about 4 weeks right before they were supposed to run there agin.

better have a good light, and be on the chutes and brakes right at the 660' mark and things would be ok, like to see a top fuel make a shakedown pass at that track

i suppose you have never raced.... yes the track isnt built for cars that fast, but the hopping is not track surface. its downshifting to stop. put it in a low gear and the back tires slow it down

You need to re-learn math. I've seen what 50,000 people looks like at an NFL game. There's no way in hell there's ever been 50,000 people at a drag racing event, let alone a FREE half track event.
Maybe it's the poor educational system in the deep south that makes em all think that shutting off at half track is cool. Out West, we don't have time for that shit. Drag racing is about speed, not saving parts...

@Flexfuel306 I was at the ADRL race at Virginia Motorsport Race Park in Virginia in 2009 and they had well over 50,000 people show up threw out the day. They where not their all at once but from opening till close they had over 50,000 total people show up. Don't bust on the south. You got a lot of farm boys that can go faster with less money than most of the west coast smart asses who think they know everything.
