Chomsky's right on. Look at what just happened with the bail out of these so called ''too big to fail'' companies. The wealthy got too greedy and there was the state to catch their asses. @eyoutuby It doesn't work that way, like it or not the majority of the wealth was entrusted to a few people, and they squandered it. Allowing these institutions to fail wouldn't transfer that wealth to the people, it would just ensure that what little was left would also be destroyed.
If you want reform you have first to convince people to want it, then convince people to agitate for it. Then get them to actually do it, in principle the american people could force congress to do anything.
