I just purchased this game. I used Lock On years ago with Windows XP and was sad when I couldn't use it with Vista and 7.

I cannot get this Platinum to fly like the old Lock On Flaming Cliffs. My joysticks which are MS sidewinder and Logitech 3d are not smooth.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I have strike fighter 2 and FSX, can I fly a helicopter in this sim? Can I run graphics details like the video with a Radeon 5770? I have WIn 7 64-bit, 10GB RAM and a quad-core cpu. The weakest is the quad, but I am waiting for prices to come down on the 6-core that runs at 3.4Ghz but will bump to 3.9Ghz if 3 or more cores are under-utilized. IT's perfect for a Window gaming PC, I will also buy a new video card, a 5800 for the nu PC, I need a powerful video edit machine & it's ideal for games 2.

@constructivereconcil you need 100 gb ram, sorry for you...joke. thats what is says on the package: cpu intel core 2 duo / AMD x2; 3 GB ram; radeon 4850 or higher / nvidia geforce 8800 (both with 512 mb); 6 GB on your HDD mouse, keyboard / joystick ...you pc should do it (my laptop has 4 gb ram ddr3, ati radeon 4650 and core2duo and it works perfect)

Great promotion video! And was that an F-14 Tomcat I saw taxing behind a C-130 at 1:05? Pity that I doubt very much the F-14 will be a flyable aircraft - you don't see too many F-14 simulators or games anymore :( Then again you don't see too many flight simulators in general these days. Great work on the video, can't wait for this to come out!

LoL... F-15 superior fighter...104 air wins and 0 loses. Let's see wich airplanes are downed by thisone: Mig-21 Mig-23 Mig-25 Su-17 Su-25 and only 3 Mig-29a who was out of resures, without radar and RWR. So, F-15 for now have wictories only VS aircrafts of 2nd generation. That is same thing when grown man go out in park and start beat small childrens.

Dude, it's an "air superiority fighter". That's not a statement about good/bad, that's a mission statement. Same way an A10 is a "tank buster" or "attack aircraft". The F15, like the Su-27, is designed to control the airspace, thus both are Air Superiority Fighters.

As for the rest of your comments, they only show that you know very little about current aircraft. You're right tho - it's not the best. The Raptor is. ;)

Yup F-22 is "maybe" best but in Lock On 2.0, F-15 acting like F-22.

He can turn in 15m, he can go vertical with minimal speed, stall and with full trottle continue to go up.

He can gained 1700 km/h in 5sec.

He have IFF even when enemy jammer is on. So for what we need jammer when powerful F-15 can go over it.

On other side we have Russian planes of 3. gen. wich are crippled to 1. gen.

Vertical, then stall, then continue up? Eh, no. It can't. Stall is scripted and the exact same stall script is used for all SFM (F15, Mig29, A10 and Su27) aircraft.

It cannot gain 1700 km/h in 5 seconds.

On the other hand, for the russians, we have Su-27's and MiG29's that use the same radar code as the superior APG-63/70.

Besides. Which of the aircraft in FC2/LOP has a datalink? Not the american one that's had it from the 70's - but the migs and suchois have it... Not to mention that the MiG29C gets the R-77 in the game - not an RL operational capability.

And that's 4th gen planes, not 3rd. And they're not crippled. Any SU or MiG pilot that knows anything owns my Eagle easy in BFM through angles advantage. The ones who can't fly get owned tho, and then try saving their ego through whining.

F-15e is a very different bird to the F-15c.

But sure, "protect" the russian planes. You know the developers are russian, right? There are only two americans in the dev team - and one of them is actually russian-born. ;)

But yeah, I know you're not alone. Lots of people are very very wrong about this topic, but personally I'll side with the russians who developed it. :)

They done everything just to get money, and because of that we dont have simulation enymore.

Big majority whanted to play arcade planes and LO2.0 is result of that.

For me best plane is Su-25/t because of his flight model.

American lobby pressure... Sigh. It's all a big conspiracy, isn't it? If that lobby is so good, why didn't the F-15C get it's datalink? That's a feature that existed in the A-model from the 70's - but the C-model in FC2 doesn't have any datalink at all. None. Nada. Zip.

But the russian planes do... Now why did the russians get to have a datalink and the yanks not, if the yank lobby was ruling the boat? And the CIS is a bigger market for sims than the US anyhow.

Hell, if the C-model had it's datalink, then you'd see even more of it's capabilities - for example the AIM120's wouldn't be using simple lofted PN interception; they'd be using the datalink for mid-course updates to maintain more energy before going terminal.

But I guess you're an expert at the aircraft since it flew overhead at 30k feet a couple times, eh? There was some telepathic action going on that gave you god's own insight into it?

This game is not real at all.

It shoud be named F-15 eagle H.A.W.X. or Ace combat.

Modern Russian planes like Mig-29s and Su-27 or Su-33 are fucked up, they are acting like Mig-17 or Su-15.

On other side we have F-15 Enterprise with apsolute power in air and space.

For me that is not real and normal at all.

I hope they got rid of that copyright bollocks star force; haven't ever been able to get a copy of lomac working on any of my pc's or laptops. I am a bit pissed as I have bought lomac gold twice and flaiming cliffs once. No copies are functional.
