  • the driver was all over the road, looks good fun though

  • Great road, if only Lithuania had somehing like this heh.

  • Good riding by the biker, dont think I would be wanting to be stuck on the outside overtaking when the Caterham driver decides he needs allthe road!!!!!!!

  • your cars not a yellow one ?

    great video btw

  • @tattootiadog Thanks mate, ive not got the yellow one, mine is green or yellow stripe....

  • Caution!

This is a car that chooses it's drivers so be careful with that car, it bites :P

But hey, lets put a full fledged V8 packed with 600 bhp, i bet even the driver would jizz in his pants by then ;)

I'll do it when i get my own, no objection.

And i sure like to play with that thought ^^

  • oh if we had roads like that in the states.

  • wow, check the rear view cam at 7:37 .

  • FMAO the bikes weren't trying at all.

  • Since the bike came from way back while the car was going fast, it would seem as if the bike was faster. As they say if there is another vehicle right on your bumper, it wasn't beamed there... I think the biker was using the car to show him lines in the turns and not taking the easy and less sporting pass on the straights; the car only had 140hp... 20 less than the much lighter bike had on the rear wheel. ( If it was a 1000).

  • I would agree britishbikes, the caterham is only good up to 90-100 mph, after that acceleration is not great, the bike was definatly quicker in the straights, but stayed behind for some fun I recon :)

  • @britishbikes12 Nope. Check out the video of the R500 Superlight V. The Ducati. YOU LOSE.

  • i cud watch tht over and over again and not get board!

  • Have you not been over recently? Who gives a flying f**k about double whites?!?! The cones at the waterworks force us to cross the double whites, so take note!

  • touche

  • oi you it might be one-way but you are not allowed to cross the solid white line. Read the free leaflet!!!!

  • Oi, this was two years ago when there where no leaflets or public awareness of this fact.

  • u where 10 secs ahead of me at the start of the veranda 4, and 25 secs ahead at kepple gate. I didnt do too bad in a MR2 2litre about 80 bhp lol vs a caterham

  • That bike did well to stay with you. check ou this wheelie at the creg

  • awesome vid :) nice driving m8

  • mint exceptional drive from an mk engineering seven owner ! and bike appreciator ! you turned in a respectable half lap there ! you ought to do the three hills challenge !

  • Cheers mate:)

If you are talking about the Manxhillclimb, I did, but in my 550 bhp RS4, I came 3rd, just being an R500! Got to try harder next year :p

  • good luck and be safe mate ! needles to say have added your vid as favourite and to my playlist !!!!

  • That's slow. ;-)

  • Great video, but the guy on the bike was also a very skilled rider! 5/5

  • Sounds like a triple.

Someday I will blitz the mountain !

  • WOOHOO! That is INSANE! My friend and I are using this as a reference as we fancy going next time, but I've pretty much decided that I do not have the cahoona's to go ahead with that. LOL.

I think they biker was probably not as interested in the camera as you think. Check your lines, he's following them as best he can. This video ROCKS!

  • Fantastic video, five stars

  • Would love to hear the real video sound. Engine and tires' noises.

  • Yeah, sorry, had a problem with the mic, so decided to put music in instead of silence ... :(

I agree, the real sound is better than music!

  • The video is nice, anyway. :) Would love a ride in that machine.

  • Nice video. Cool of the bike to hang back there; gives bikers something a little extra to watch. Monster wheelie he did at the end, too. :)

  • Cheers, m8, I know, never found out who he was either, but he certainly knew there was a camera hanging off the rollbar :)

  • Oh fucking come here....... i have eaten tossers like you for breakfast on the Cat and Fiddle. If you fancy it post back but prepare to get fucked over

  • What kind of a way is that to speak to people? You let me know the next time your over in the isle of man and we can meet up. This video is a bit of fun ...

  • I have just come back from the TT shame I would have liked to meet up. I was a bit harsh with my comments I agree but lads in kit cars, lotus`s etc are a real propblem where I live, Ps this was confirmed by a copper I know. Top place the IOM so I will PM you when I go next.

  • Good Man, Glad to see you can see that some car drivers can DRIVE and apprecaite bikers like I do, ALL the time ... ESPECIALLY during mad sunday! Have a safe year and give me a buzz next year ;)

  • who is the music by ?

  • Good vid but keeping the sound would have made it even better

  • Cheers mate.

I agree, I would rather listen to the sound!!! but the sound was dead, bad connection :(, so had to do something!! I should mention this in the comments.

  • The dogs danglies!

My dream car... it will be mine oh yes!

    It will be mine :-)

    Nice driving

  • If the bloke on the yellow gixer had some bollocks he could have past you easily.

  • Haha! he's comparing a caterham, to a bike! when will those silly leather-clad men learn? ><

  • Ace vid! Much as I love Caterhams, you'd need something more aerodynamic to really be up there with the Finnegans and McG's; Tony Pond's 101 mph lap in a standard Rover 827 (of all things!) back in 1990 will probably remain the fastest official lap time for a car as more attempts are unlikely. Health & safety.. Pity, imagine a works 911 through Kirkmichael, Nice.

  • Brilliant video mate :) I liked the chav boy in the blue Saxo trying to keep up :D

  • Thanks, top driving by the way!

  • What's the music used on the vid?

  • Its "Ready Steady Go" by Paul Oakenfold

  • True true

  • Impressive stuff! sticks to the road like shit to a blanket.

  • ginganz13 - Try Racing a Caterham R500 evo on a standard production bike.... 4 wheels to stop with and 2 to get the power down!!!!

    lol.

  • Wots the point you can't even get near the 22min/lap pace that the production 250's set SIXTEEN years ago - its a foregone conclusion - Boring - Go and find a traffic jam. Hehehehe!

  • At Nürburgring and other tracks bikes slow the fast Caterhams and other fast cars down through the corners and in braking zones.4 wheel v's two.Get over it lol.Formula one cars own moto gp bikes lap times at any tracks they both race at.

By the way I love moto gp and bikes but I had to correct you.

  • Errr - I thought we were at the TT? You drag the other stuff in cause you were down trou'ed. The TT is a real world road race, F1 is a merry-go-round,just less interesting to watch, thats why they have pit stops, the only real chance of overtaking. Don't care if you've got 16 wheels ya still can't keep up on the road.

  • Do you understand basic principles that apply to both cars and bikes like traction, braking, cornering force and aerodynamics? I will concede the fact you can beat a car in a traffic jam on a bike lol. If a car manufacturer wanted to they could build a car capable of beating any bike at the TT. By the way the superbike in the video seemed to find it hard to pass the Caterham, it is not even the fastest type the R500 EVO.

    Lol. ;-)

  • Understand? Come to NZ and I'll show you my sliver replica. 'Could but didn't' doesn't win races - it's the same result as 'can't'. Russel Brookes 600bhp rally car with slicks barely managed Junior TT qualifying times in 1990. BTW which Caterham do you own?

  • A 600bhp rally car is NOT designed from the ground up for road racing. If you took a Radical SR8 car to the TT with a good driver the bikes would have a job keeping up. E.g. the fastest lap of Nürburgring was by the SR8.This track is a long road circuit like the TT. It is 17.5 miles long and has 174 corners. On this track like many others, bikes hold Caterhams and other lightweights up in corners etc and lap slower

  • There comes a point where you've either gotta prove it or shut up. If you can do a 17 min lap of the TT in a Caterham I'll eat my Silver Replica. LOL ! I'll even let you choose the sauce!

  • Nice try but it wasn't even on 22 min lap pace - the proddy 250's were doing that 16 years ago!

Take your hand off it - buy a bike ! :-)
